BB Device Software :: Appointments Deleted In Outlook Remain On BB
Feb 26, 2010
We just implemented BlackBerry Professional Server with a handful of users and I've noticed the following behavior: When a calendar appointment is created on the BB, it syncs with Outlook and appears there as well. If the appointment is then deleted in Outlook it remains on the BlackBerry. If the appointment is created and deleted on the BB it appears and disappears in Outlook just fine. Can anyone assist in troubleshooting this one?

I have a reoccurring problem with appointments that are set in Outlook that will appear immediately on my iPhone calendar, but when I check back later sometimes the event has been deleted from my iPhone calendar but not from my Outlook calendar. It's driving me mad. Some of the times it does this is when I send an invite through outlook for an event to another user. The event will appear on my iPhone calendar but once the other person accepts my event invitation it will disappear from my iPhone calendar, but remain on my Outlook calendar. It doesn't do this everytime, but seems to be when I notice this happening the most.
On my phone settings I have the outlook calendar set as my default calendar. My iPhone is also synched with two gmail accounts a Hotmail and an icloud account. The only calendars I actually use however are my Outlook and the the iPhone calendar.
I have checked the time zones on both my outlook calendar and BB. They are set correctly. If I set an appointment for 8am in Outlook, it displays as 9am on my BB calendar. Also it should be said that my phone automatically syncs via an enterprise server. I do not hardwire my BB to my computer. My BB has accurately sync'd with my computer for over a year until now. I tried changing the option in outlook that "accounts for DST", and that didn't work either.
seemingly,(since last software update?) I am unable to accept meetings sent to me over my corporate (MS outlook) email.
the invite/meetings arrive fine , but when opened, the box to 'accept/ tentative, or decline won't hightlight or change, and the drop down doesn't do anything either. same goes for the reminder time? also, I can't reply or forward from the initial screen, but can from the upper right corner once the meeting/invite is opened (but still can't accept).
this is the same regardless of the sender, and they all open/function fine from my desktop.
When I put an appointment in outlook for a set period (i.e. between two dates) every time I sync with my android calendar using Kies the appointment looses it's date range. The sync process either syncs the start day as start and end or bizarrely, puts the end date one day ahead of the start date!!I installed the 3rd party 'Business Calendar' and this displays in exactly the same way.
When I synchronize my Blackberry Pearl, my old appointments get deleted from both my device and my outlook account. I have changed the settings to keep appointments continuously so it is not the usual X days of old appointments selected. No option related seems to be on the Blackberry Desktop Software.
I have a new Storm and have just suffered a major disaster due to the default setting that deletes old appointments in Calendar if they are over 60 days old.
Blackberry - change your defaults to retain any information FOREVER rather than hiding a default deep in the Calendar options set to 60 days which no-one knows about till it is too late - I have lost 4 years of critical project schedules and activities simply because I bought a new phone!! Judging by a couple of other posts on these forums others have also suffered this unwanted 60-day default. It is just so much more logical that the Users make a concious decision to have automatic deletion.
how I can recover my lost calendar entries - since they have been deleted out of my Outlook as well.
Can someone maybe enlighten me as to why my past appointments in my calendar keep deleting, it appears to be after I have deleted the browser history! I did not realise this was linked to the calendar.
The sync process between iPhone and Outlook 2003 does not add new appointments entered in Outlook to transfer to iPhone. I have tried all the steps in Apple Support including uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. I have checked the boxes in iTunes - Device - Info - Advanced to "Replace information on this iPhone" "Calendars". Still no luck???
When I synch with Outlook, the synch deletes past calendar events. How do I set the settings so that my past appointments and calendar events are not deleted?
I have Outlook on my PC and have deleted a # of calendar entries........They are not being noted on my iPhone either thru iCloud or syncing with a USB.....what is wrong?
When I delete an email on my computer, in Outlook, it does not delete it on my iPhone. However, if I delete an email on my iphone, it will be deleted on my computer's Outlook. When I open an email, in either place, it will show up as read in both. This is whole issue is also taking place with my iPad. I have reset my Outlook on my iPhone several times, yet it is still not sycning.
When traveling, and I change time zones all my appointments change times. How can I stop this? For example, I live in Denver, and enter appointments while on my home time zone. However, even when the appointment I enter is in another city I'll enter the exact time. When I get off the plane and change time zones all the appointments change too.
You've probably all been asked this loads and I've read some forums posts and tried software but ive not been able to find a solution or answer.Basically Ive just got myself a Storm2 and was told by my provider that I could sync my emails from outlook to my device and back like a windows mobile device. As ive found out this isnt the case, I really like the phone and dont want to hand it back over to swap for another device but if I dont find a solution then I wont have a choice. My question is, is there any software available that will sync my device to my computer the same as a WM device does through activesync?I have tried Astrasync and Notifysync both which throw errors up and dont work
I accidentally deleted the Device Calendar from the Service Book menu. I left my e-mail address calendar that has all of my appointments in it. Now, when I try to sync with the desktop software and outlook, it will not process any calendar appointments. I have a BB Curve 8330.
My office email uses Outlook but not Blackberry Enterprise Server. My phone (Bold 9000) has folders for Inbox, Contact and Calendar, but NOT Sent or Deleted folders. Messages sent from phone can only be seen on phones's Inbox (mixed with received messages). The Sent folder in Outlook is updated only after phone has been synchronized with desktop. It does not update wirelessly.Messages sent from Outlook of course appear in Outlook Sent folder. But the phone does not show any Sent folder. The "View Folder" menu item in the Message folder lists many folders (Inbox, MMS Inbox, MMS outbox, Visual Voice Mail, etc. The Outlook Sent folder is simply unavailable and I cannot find any way to make it appear.Others using this phone with BES seem able to see Sent folder. I do not want to send copies to myself, I get enough emails already. Is there a solution to this problem without installing BES or switching to iPhone?
When I synchronize my BlackBerry Torch 9800 with Outlook 2010, old items on my calendar disappear from Outlook. Even though these events have passed, I would like to retain them on my calendar as reminders for those dates.
I have tried to find a setting in BlackBerry and in Outlook to stop this from happening, but have been unsuccessful so far.
I have a new laptop. My old one, to which my iPhone was synced has been backed up using Time Machine.
On my new one I decided to check out Outlook to see if it could be usedful, I have never used it before. So I opened it up and to my suprise there are some old contacts from years ago and some old emails from an old email account also from years ago, how they got there I didn't/still don't know, so I went ahead and deleted them. Then I discovered, also to my suprise that the notes from my iPhone were there too, not knowing how they got there, I delete them. A few minutes later I open up my iPhone and what!!! all my notes are deleted! I'm guessing now that the two were syncing without me being aware of it through iCloud.
My question is how can I retrieve almost two years worth of important continuously edited notes?
I have a Pearl 8120 and Outlook 2007. I have been synching between the 2 for about 1 1/2 years without a problem. Today, with no settings changed, I synched and now my phone still has all the calendar appointments, but all but 40 appointments in the Outlook have vanished...those left are in the current month. But also ALL my recurring appointments, even in the current month are gone from Outlook. This has wiped out my history in Outlook completely. Now no matter how I set up the synch parameters, I cannot get the device to send all the appointments back to Outlook. I have updated the device and the desktop software.
I was able to delete emails from my Outlook Exchange inbox and then it will delete from my iPhone, but know when I delete from my Outlook Exchange email account, it would not delete from my iPhone.
I have loads of people in my contacts who have signed up on the day for newsletters/specials etc. When a customer asks to be removed from our distribution list, I always cut their contact details from the mobile and email fields and paste into their notes. This way, when I send out an update to everyone on the list, the contact doesn't receive it but I still have their details if they need me to contact them personally. I do this cut and paste on my 5s (OS up to date), on Outlook 2013 (Windows 8.1) and iCloud.Â
The problem I've been having lately is that when I sync my iPhone with iTunes (up to date), it somehow puts the more recent contacts' phone number and email back into the fields on both iPhone and Outlook. I have been doing this for a long time and have quite a few regular customers who opted out a while ago. Their fields are empty and their contact details are in their notes.
Info: iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.2, Zenbook with Windows 8.1
It's set to delete on Handheld and Mailbox (mailbox wins). When the user deletes the message on the BB, the message deletes in Outlook. When he deletes a message in his Outlook Inbox, it won't delete. The message will finally delete after being deleted from the deleted folder in Outlook, however, it's supposed to delete when cleared from the inbox.
I use yahoo email on my Blackberry and Outlook on my computer. Emails are coming to my phone and outlook, when I view them on my outlook and move them to a Outlook folder they disappear from my phone. It just shows my sent messages. I need to be able to see received messages too!
