BB Device Software :: Deleted The Device Calendar From The Service Book Menu
Apr 27, 2010
I accidentally deleted the Device Calendar from the Service Book menu. I left my e-mail address calendar that has all of my appointments in it. Now, when I try to sync with the desktop software and outlook, it will not process any calendar appointments. I have a BB Curve 8330.
So I wiped my bb bold 9000. All went well, except when I open up the Desktop Manager to sync my calendar and address book, DM gives me the following error message: The default service for your device's "address book" is no longer available. The new service for synchronization is "email@example.com"
I have five email addresses linked to my Bold (yahoo, gmail, live, etc) and I want it to sync with my work address book and calendar (not firstname.lastname@example.org). It had no problem doing this before the wipe...
I have gone in to options/advanced options/default services and changed both options (CICAL and CMIME) to my work email address, but I still get the error message. I even went so far as to delete all five email addresses and start adding them from scratch...making sure that I added my work email address first...figuring that may set it as default.
I bought a this blackberry on eBay and IM am trying to connect to browser but it wont let me. It saying your device does not currently have a browser configuration service book entries. It also does not have a wifi internet connection server. Help I have got a CD from blackberry but my computer does not have a CD player.
I have a problem with my BlackBerry BOLD 9000 v184.108.40.2069 (Platform 220.127.116.11). The lock is "deleted" not "Hidden" from my menu LOCK PICTURE: and when i keep pressing on A key the telephone will lock but when i press any key after it locks, message appears which says that i have to click on mute key to unlock but when i click on the mute key it doesn't unlock. I deleted the password and I still have the same problem.
i have i problem with my blackberry curve 8520 my browser is not working and appears a message like this:YOUR DEVICE DOES NOT CURRENTLY HAVE ANY BROWSER CONFIGURATION SERVICE BOOK ENTRIES,a while ago was working but now NOT ENY MORE,what can i do?
I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.
I did the infamously foolish act of accidentally deleting the service book for my blackberry browser on my bold 9700. I checked other threads but everyones solution seems to work but for me.I think there was two icons, one was named "Browser" and the other "Internet Browser" (Correct me if im wrong.) I somehow deleted the service book for the Internet Browser. My service provider is Vodafone Qatar in the middle east and they are still new. I tried to resend service books and i get a message saying I registered my BB to the server and when I battery pull my BB, only one browser icon is still there. Is there any other way to retrieve/restore that other browser icon? I checked the setting to show all my icons and everything but its not there. (I guess I completely deleted it.
I use my default calendar and either randomly or everytime I restart my phone the facebook calendar)reappears in the service book. I only use one calendar I don't need two. I turned off FB calendar sync and it still reappears. I double changed and my default is what is should be.
After installing 18.104.22.1683, I noticed I had no calendar icon anywhere. I looked in all of my folders and made sure it wasn't hidden. I resent service books and that didn't restore the icon. Any thoughts would be helpful.
Am facing a peculiar problem with my Blackberry Calendars.A brief background of the situation : I have 3 email ids synced to my Blackberry Bold 9000 (OS 22.214.171.1241). However, none of the emails have any calendars associated with them. I sync my Address Book & Calendar entries through Outlook 2010. At this stage, there are 197 entries in the Calendar, all marked in Blue. Default Services does not show an CICAL option. Neither is there any CICAL in the Service Book. When I install the Facebook app (1.8 or above), all calendar entries get marked in Red and named as Facebook. Default Services starts showing a CICAL option with only one entry "Facebook". A Facebook CICAL is added to the Service Book. There is no option or entry for any other Calendar.
The problem is that all the entries under Facebook are the same 197 as the Outlook entries. No entries from my Facebook account are added to the device. So it is as if the Outlook Calendar has been renamed as Facebook Calendar without any Facebook entries being added to the database. The entries are not duplicated under Facebook. Just that original Outlook Calendar has now become the Facebook Calendar.I would like to have both these Calendar entries (Outlook & Facebook) on the device as many of my business associates / clients etc are on my Facebook profile and i would like some reminder of their bdays etc too.Things that I have tried so far to rectify this are as follows. Each process has been repeated multiple times with no change in results:
1) Re-set up the Facebook Calendar Entries association in the Facebook App > Options
2) Deleted Facebook CICAL from Service Book and then re-associated the App as above
3) Re-installed the Facebook app after deleting the Facebook CICAL.
Anyone please tell me how you can load an audio book onto your bb. I have books download in Itunes. But so for some reason they won't load onto my phone. I have tried using the media manager on my desktop. But when I open it up the area is grayed out,
After adding a Gmail account to BIS (OS 5.0.484) the Address Book folder is always called Gmail. This doesn't really cause operational problems, but after the sync (and even the service books) are removed, the name remains.
This makes for some confusion when configuring ActiveSync via NotifySync since the folder to sync contacts with is always called Gmail, not Contacts.
I want to Synchronize my device address book with yahoo's
After experiencing some problems I decided to start from cero and deleted all contacts of my yahoo address book. I then synchronized with the Blackberry desktop manager (arrow pointing out in both directions) and loaded all data from the device (address book) to yahoo.
When I do changes using my PC directly in yahoo and then sync with device all works apparently OK, e.g. if I modify a name adding a surname that will be synchronized correctly in the device, however the changes I do in an existing record in my device with the sync won't be done in yahoo.
What shall I do to have all changes done to my device's adress book in the yahoo account.
Having just bought a "Bold 9700" I am new to the BlackBerry-World. I would like to sync my emails (e.g. the emails I wrote and sent on the road) and the adress book entries of the device (software version 126.96.36.1993) with "Windows Mail" on my home computer (OS Visa, SP 2). Up to now I couldn't find out how to do this, either with the "Desktop Manager" (version 5.0.1) or with some other piece of software (???). Potentialy it looks like the "DesktopManager" could be up to this task, but the box to check for this is not highlighted, so I can not select this option.
I cannot seem to register in Blackberry service of my network provider. I inquired about it with my network, the customer service people told me that everytime i register to pay per use blackberry service, different keyword is seen in their system.
I keep getting a message "service not enabled for this device" when I try to log in to my IMs. I have the data plan on my phone and when i went to talk to my service provider they said everything was connected on there side.
For some reason Skype has just been deleted from my E72 device. When I go to the Ovi store to download skype again. The download button can't be accessed as I assume that the Ovistore thinks I already have skype on my phone as its in Mystuff. How can I download Skype again onto my phone?
I bought the 8330 about six months ago and purchased the High-speed data package from Sprint. I have confirmed with my provider that I do have the high-speed data package. I noticed that the phone is very slow while connecting to the internet. I took the phone into the store where I bought it which is a Sprint dealer.
The person working there said the problem was that.I only had a 1X for radio signal and I needed a 1XEV. He messed with the phone for about an hour and even talked to support while I was in store. We tried re-provisioning several times and numerous other things. Eventually I was told by support that the particular Blackberry I owned did not support EV(EVDO) service and I would have to purchase a new phone.
i brought a blackberry curve 8520 on orange a few days ago but i cant use the internet and i cant set up an email account because i need to register my BB.i have tried to register it using the my PIN and IMEI but it just says:cannot create account:This blackberry device is not registered with your wireless service provider. Please register this device and vertify that the URl of the current web site matches the one provided by your wireless service provider. To register:1. In the Application list on your device, click options, or click settings options2. Click advanced options > host routing table3. Click the menu key and click register now..If the error persists, contact your wireless service provider...i have registered it by following those instructions then i got a text saying:Your handheld has been registered with your wireless network but it still wont let me create an account!
cancel my Blackberry Curve 9300 association with the wireless service provider. I transferred it to my son that has another service provider and is getting all the services from the device with them, less to set up his email account.
I have owned my iPhone 3 for about a year, While trying to sync with iTunes, as I do a couple of times each week, for the first time I have received an error message: "Apple Mobile Device Service Not Started."
