I use my default calendar and either randomly or everytime I restart my phone the facebook calendar)reappears in the service book. I only use one calendar I don't need two. I turned off FB calendar sync and it still reappears. I double changed and my default is what is should be.
View 1 RepliesI've recently setup my email accounts on my Iphone 3GS to use the IMAP protocol.I have 3 email accounts (different domains) all hosted with Ehosting.The problem I'm having is the same for deleted or moved emails, and only happens on the Iphone.Whenever I delete or move an email, it is removed from my inbox, and appears in the trash or deleted items folder, or the destination move folder on my Iphone.However when the Iphone next checks for email, the messages all reappear in the inbox (as read)If I delete or move them again, I end up with multiple copies in the deleted or moved folder destination on the iphne, for however many times I delete or move the mail.The deleted and moved folders on my Iphone, only organise themselves correctly once I check my mail on my mac, or windows laptop, and that deals with the changes made.The problem then starts all over again once the next series of emails are received on the Iphone.Very frustrating when your out and about and you continually receive mail prevously read, deleted or filed in your inbox (albeit read), and not able to access the mail from a mac or laptop.
On my mac (and a laptop) the mail accounts work perfectly with the imap protocol, behaving as I would expect deleted are moved the to the trash or deleted items folder, until such time as I permanently delete them.Messages moved to a different folder phsically move to that folder.Ehosting are suggesting it should work fine, and the problems lies with the Iphone, although I'm not convinced.As a test I also have a SKY.com email address which I never use, but last night I set this up on the Iphone.This is in affect a gmail account, badged up by sky.This account worked and behaved as I would expect on the Iphone (contrary to the problems others experience with gmail accounts), with deleted or moved messages, being placed in the correct folder on the Iphne, and not re-appearing in the Iphnes inbox on the next check for mail.Hopefully I've explained the problem with enough details for someone to offer a fix or resolution, and before anyone suggests it, I dont want to revert to POP emails.
After installing 5.0.0.713, I noticed I had no calendar icon anywhere. I looked in all of my folders and made sure it wasn't hidden. I resent service books and that didn't restore the icon. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Now, when I try to sync with the desktop software and outlook, it will not process any calendar appointments. I have a BB Curve 8330.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI did the infamously foolish act of accidentally deleting the service book for my blackberry browser on my bold 9700. I checked other threads but everyones solution seems to work but for me.I think there was two icons, one was named "Browser" and the other "Internet Browser" (Correct me if im wrong.) I somehow deleted the service book for the Internet Browser. My service provider is Vodafone Qatar in the middle east and they are still new. I tried to resend service books and i get a message saying I registered my BB to the server and when I battery pull my BB, only one browser icon is still there. Is there any other way to retrieve/restore that other browser icon? I checked the setting to show all my icons and everything but its not there. (I guess I completely deleted it.

Things like Facebook, AccuWeather, TeleNav, Tetris Demo, ToneMaker Demo, A BUNCH of games and other things. They are not installed but they are links that open up my browser to download them. I delete the service books so its goes away, but after i restart, BAM they are all back!!! this never happened before I got a free month of data service from t-mobile. Or is this an automatic when you get a data-plan? How can I stop or block this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently got a BB bold that's unlocked from ATT. I do not have the Blackberry plan, I only have T-zones. I am able to surf the web and such using opera mini. All my weather and internet radio applications work fine. The only thing I can not get to work is MMS. I can receive but not send. Says no mms service book.I found a generic T-zones service book that I installed to the phone using DM. Unfortunately the service book does not contain the MMS book. Where can I find or add this service book? There must be a way. Is is possible for someone else to send me their service book and have that work?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Employer allowed me to keep my corporate BB9700 after we switched to Iphones with another carrier. This corporate BB9700 was connected to the BES and had a Data Plan.
After the conversion to the new carrier I did a Secruity Wipe on the device as per the Instructions given however now my Browser Icon has disappeared from my Home Screen however I am able to click on the Browser Icon when I press down on the Menu Button. However when I click on the Browser Icon I receive the following message "Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries.Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device." I called Rogers Technical Support however was not even able to get an explanation of what this message means?
My current wireless plan with Rogers does not include a data plan. Is that the reason why I see this message or do I need to reinstall the software? My BB9700 currently has OS5.
So I wiped my bb bold 9000. All went well, except when I open up the Desktop Manager to sync my calendar and address book, DM gives me the following error message: The default service for your device's "address book" is no longer available. The new service for synchronization is "blahblah@wrongemail.com"
I have five email addresses linked to my Bold (yahoo, gmail, live, etc) and I want it to sync with my work address book and calendar (not blahblah@wrongemail.com). It had no problem doing this before the wipe...
I have gone in to options/advanced options/default services and changed both options (CICAL and CMIME) to my work email address, but I still get the error message. I even went so far as to delete all five email addresses and start adding them from scratch...making sure that I added my work email address first...figuring that may set it as default.
I have 4 Gmail addresses on my BB Bold and the main account is missing the "email name [SYNC]" in the service book (I accidentally deleted it I think). Since I'm having issues with syncing already I figured I need it but I'm not sure. I resent all service books, but this particular one is still missing.

Now, however, for some reason the message heading appears in my inbox each time the phone (9930) is rebooted. When I click on the heading there is no message. I have NEVER been able to use the Facebook App. I had downloaded the v1.7 from App world and it never worked giving me the message: "Could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support"
I deleted it and tried downloading from the link sent from this website for v1.6 and received this message:
"Notice Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Facebook." I must state that this is not the only problem I am having, it now seems that Bluetooth doesn't work either.
I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

I have a Bold 9900 and have recently upgraded to Facebook 3.2. I have now lost all my events (birthdays etc) from my calendar (When I am logged into Facebook, the birthdays appear in the calendar and when I log out, they disappear).

I used to have an option to delete e-mail on the handset or both handset and mailbox. Now, for some reason, it only gives me delete as an option. I like being able to delete on BB only for some things and on both for junk. I know it will come to me but you guys are faster.

The first thing that I did was go to BlackBerry - Update your Device Software and downloaded the 4.6.0.185 OS, but I did not delete the vendor from the 4.1.etc.What happens when you install the new OS, but don't delete the old vendor?P.S. I live in Brazil, anyways, so when I try to connect to the browser it says: "No service book entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device." I found that my service book has no entries either my host routing table, and when I try to register that host routing table it says that the message has send but nothing happens, I really don't know that to do. In my mind I think that I have to download all the service books again, but I don't know where I can find it. I also tried to register on that BlackBerry Internet Service in my country but I also didn't get results. By the way, the only application that works with the internet is Foursquare. Additional things: they have a plan here in Brazil for Blackberry, I'm already on this plan, but guess what, can't use the internet

View 1 Replies View RelatedAm facing a peculiar problem with my Blackberry Calendars.A brief background of the situation : I have 3 email ids synced to my Blackberry Bold 9000 (OS 5.0.0.681). However, none of the emails have any calendars associated with them. I sync my Address Book & Calendar entries through Outlook 2010. At this stage, there are 197 entries in the Calendar, all marked in Blue. Default Services does not show an CICAL option. Neither is there any CICAL in the Service Book.When I install the Facebook app (1.8 or above), all calendar entries get marked in Red and named as Facebook. Default Services starts showing a CICAL option with only one entry "Facebook". A Facebook CICAL is added to the Service Book. There is no option or entry for any other Calendar.
The problem is that all the entries under Facebook are the same 197 as the Outlook entries. No entries from my Facebook account are added to the device. So it is as if the Outlook Calendar has been renamed as Facebook Calendar without any Facebook entries being added to the database. The entries are not duplicated under Facebook. Just that original Outlook Calendar has now become the Facebook Calendar.I would like to have both these Calendar entries (Outlook & Facebook) on the device as many of my business associates / clients etc are on my Facebook profile and i would like some reminder of their bdays etc too.Things that I have tried so far to rectify this are as follows. Each process has been repeated multiple times with no change in results:
1) Re-set up the Facebook Calendar Entries association in the Facebook App > Options
2) Deleted Facebook CICAL from Service Book and then re-associated the App as above
3) Re-installed the Facebook app after deleting the Facebook CICAL.
I have facebook App installed on my lumia 1320, but my lumia 1320's calendar is not synchronized with facebook calendar. Hence I am not able to see Facebook calender's birthday on my lumia calendar.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Canadian Rogers Torch 9180, software 7.0.0.254, platfirn 5.0.0.451, available KB 167173.The phone is activated on our cloud Blackberry Administration Service with Exchange 365 and for some reason the CICAL service book is missing on the device so any calendar invites are blank. I have followed BB article KB10594 and on the BAS tried resending the service books. On the device properties it does say that the last transaction was delievered and nothing I can see has failed. Obviously since the CICAL book is missing I am unable to delete and undelete it as per the KB article.
We only have one default IT policy and others are on it without any issues. And yes I have double checked that nothing is disabled in the PIM sync in the policy. We do not have any Groups setup, everyone is under the default group.Not using any other calendar apps on the phone. In the BAS it does say that the Wireless calendar is Disabled but there's no way I can see in the BAS to enable the calendar.
My texts are auto deleting after a month, I want to delete them when I want to, How can I stop this happening and can I retrieve them?
