Well everytime I delete say Nascar Sprint Cup browser config ill do a reset and the icon to instal it comes back and its back in the service book. Same with facebook sprint music store software store and some others. Why do they keep restoring back to the service book?
View 5 RepliesI have two Blackberry 8330's here. One is a 8330 and the other is a 8330m. The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model.Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?
So, went through and deleted some applications I don't use and then address book was gone.
I deleted:
Google Talk
Facebook
and maybe 1 other, but no core apps
No backup.
Any ideas?
So I want to start syncing my address book and calendar. I really want to to sync my calendar as a back up. I notice my BB still deletes some entries even tho I have it set to NEVER delete entries.I use Live.com (Hotmail) for my email if that makes a difference and I have about 4 or 5 different email accounts.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got a curve 8330 from a friend and had the service switched to it from my LG voyager today. Went to the Verizon store and they were unable to transfer my contacts. The guy told me that in options, because "wireless sync" says Not Available, he couldn't do it. I can't change that setting either.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Blackberry Desktop Manager like the BB site said to do and backed up my address book and everything else on my phone. I was going to update my BB Curve 8330 software. I read the directions and followed them and after I backed up and it said the back up was successful I tried to update the software and it said that failed so I restored everything back onto my phone and guess what? Address book is gone! So far that's the only thing I can find that didn't restore but I'm still looking. Is there anything that I can do that I am not techno-savvy enough to have realized or are they just gone? If they're just gone then fine whatever I'm not going to freak out.

I tried a few things such as reconnecting to the verizon mobile network, I did a reboot and a few hard reboots, I finally wound up doing a wipe which didn't help either. Before I wiped the bb I ran a diagnostics test and my radio data activation would say no and everything else would be unknown. I have no service books and my host routing table is empty. Yhe blackberry internet server doesnt recognize that the phone is activated. I dont know what else to do, I took it to a local verizon store and he said my software is shot and I need a new phone.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought the 8330 about six months ago and purchased the High-speed data package from Sprint. I have confirmed with my provider that I do have the high-speed data package. I noticed that the phone is very slow while connecting to the internet. I took the phone into the store where I bought it which is a Sprint dealer.
The person working there said the problem was that.I only had a 1X for radio signal and I needed a 1XEV. He messed with the phone for about an hour and even talked to support while I was in store. We tried re-provisioning several times and numerous other things. Eventually I was told by support that the particular Blackberry I owned did not support EV(EVDO) service and I would have to purchase a new phone.
anyone with boost bb having problems with service saying "no service in sprint area" i have never seen this problem before can anyone help?

View 11 Replies View RelatedThis is my first time using the blackberry forums I have hope you can help me find a resolution to this problem. I have a blackberry 8520 I have an old backup file from June 2012 which I restored because it should have the old text messages I want back on my phone the problem is that trying to restore this gave an error message half way through the restore "unable to restore database" after trying this a few times I then updated the Blackberry Desktop Manager to latest version and it now lets me restore the backup file. The problem now is that it does not have the messages that should be there, and also the messages that are in my inbox have an overview as normal but selecting it displays a blank screen with no message history also another issue is that I have the icons on my home screen showing I have a unread sms messages but I am unable to view these in my inbox they are not there. I do not understand what is happening here this should be a simple restore but there is a number of issues here can anyone advise me how to go about fixing this Eagerly waiting for a response Kind Regards

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter updating a few IM applications and doing a battery pull on my Curve 8250 I've been having problems with my address book.I backed up my phone, updated some IM apps did a battery pull then realized my address book contacts were missing. tried to restore, but I only got one name entered multiple times. I re-entered all of my contacts backed that up, re-booted just to see if they would go missing again and they did. I then tried to restore contacts only. But the only option I got was Address book - Last Hint Used. I did not see Address Book

So now i dont have the internet browser.. how can i get it back ? I already tried: Option> Advanced opotion> host routing table> register now; and it say "registration message sent!" and nothing happens. i dont have blackberry maps either.

After I turn it back on i get the symbol in the top right that says "off" which according to the starting guide book says "Your connection to the wireless network is turned off" The only way i can fix this is pulling the battery. Is there a way to get back on after my phone is charged besides pulling the battery??
View 6 Replies View RelatedI got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

I tried iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service except "restoring the iPhone", but I'm still experiencing "No Service" issue.my iPhone worked fine for 7 months before falling down.There's no other issues with my iphone everything else is working normally, the screen is not broken & there is only one tiny scratch on the edge of the iPhone. I live in Brazil, anyways, so when I try to connect to the browser it says: "No service book entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device." So I was searching for help and everyone has entries on service book, but when I go to options > advanced > Service Book > * No Entries * I try to register but nothing happens, I really don't know what to do
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a unlocked Blackberry from Verizon on Ebay, I live in Brazil so that makes thinks more complicated, anyways, after calling Blackberry and my service provider. I found that my service book has no entries either my host routing table, and when I try to register that host routing table it says that the message has send but nothing happens, I really don't know that to do. In my mind I think that I have to download all the service books again, but I don't know where I can find it. I also tried to register on that BlackBerry Internet Service in my country but I also didn't get results. By the way, the only application that works with the internet is Foursquare. Additional things: they have a plan here in Brazil for Blackberry, I'm already on this plan, but guess what, can't use the internet
