Apr 18, 2010I don't know if this is possible or not so I thought I would ask here, is it possible to alter the way the menu functions in the blackberry curve? in example, what I want to do is like when I send a sms text message and when I hit the trackball and the menu options come up, the send button is highlighted, and what I would like do is modify it so that the check spelling is highlighted first and then send button is right below it, is it possible to do this or is this an internal Blackberry Software modification?

Sep 8, 2010I fell in love with my 8310 when I first got it about 2 years ago. It has everything I could need. I am not a internet person but it has the memo pad for my fireman stuff, the right size buttons for texting since I have pretty large hands, and I liked the applications I had. Well my phone has taken the falls and the other day it fell face first into a rain puddle. I grabbed it up fast. The cell has dried and it still works except for the trackball and the menu button. Basically the 2 most important buttons. I took it to the store and the phones strip was still white and never turned red. They told me I am do for a upgrade. I love the 8310, its been great to me. So the question: is there a fix of the keypad I can just get off ebay or the other options were 2 cells I found. Not wanting to do the whole data plan deal and not all stoked about a 3g. The guy was trying to press the torch on me and I told him no thanks.
The cells that interest me are.
1) The 8520. I like this one cause it seems like its not far from what I had maybe a few new bells and whistles. I see it has wifi.

BB Curve 83xx :: APN Setting - Cant Find Out
Jan 8, 2010I have an 8310 Curve with CellularOne. I bought a Google Nexus One and would like to use it with the CellularOne SIM on their network. The Nexus functions just fine so far, but I need to set the APN on it to be able to use the data functions, but I can't find out what the APN setting is on the Blackberry currently so I can enter it into the Nexus. How do you find out what the current APN setting is on the Blackberry Curve? found cellular1wap as the suggested APN but this doesn't work.

Jan 16, 2010I have bb8330, no BES, no BIS, do have BB data plan and am using opera mini. I have to download apps to my bb using ota downloader. It will only download .jad files. I have had several links sent to my email address so I can download them with ota downloader using my DM, but they are not .jad urls and do not work? How do I find the .jad file or url? Once I load these 3rd party apps, will they work for me? The one I want in particular is Viigo. Will it work without a BB browser? I am using opera mini 4.2. I might also add that I can not find a media manager file in my DM. I have searched the DM and the BB CD for a media manager, but can not find it in either one.

Feb 25, 2010For some reason I can't get my Curve to connect to the the desktop manager. I have installed and uninstalled the Manager 3x, tried to different computers and 3 different USB cables and still nothing. When I plug the phone into the PC it shows the charging icon for about 5 seconds then it disappears and when I try to access it with the DM it cant find the PIN. I checked to make sure that the DM was set to recognize the USB. The last time I use the DM was back in November and everything was fine, but now nothing wants to work.

Aug 10, 2010I have created folders on my media card to store pictures. I can't find them - the folders or the pictures. The only folders I can find seem to be the album art that automatically downloads itself when I add music to my BB 8330. I can't find any of my pictures besides the ones that automatically placed themselves on the camera memory.
How can I make it so the pictures go to a folder on my memory card, completely skipping the camera memory? And then how can I find these individual folders? And THEN how can I stop the album art, which doesn't actually show up but makes its own folder on the BB.
This is becoming very frustrating as I thought I had followed a thread here on Crackberry and obviously have screwed something up. I hope these pictures are still there. I just can't get to them.
BB Curve 83xx :: 8310 Unknown Sound Can't Find Source?
May 10, 2010I have a BB Curve 8310 and at strange times I get a "blip blip blip" sound. Every time I hear it I search my running apps to see what it seems to be notifying me of and can't find the source of the sound. Aug 31, 2010I just had some apps signaling me that it was time to upgrade them. I went to do so and it wanted me to enter my password. Not sure why it wasn't automatically logging in as it had done so before. Tried the "Forgot password" option and it didn't have my email address on file. I then tried every email address that I have thinking I used a different one and could never get it to work. Went to the AppWorld website and did the same thing with the same results.
So then I figured I'd just create the account again with the email address being used for the BB (which is what I thought I had done before). I went ahead and set up the account, and submitted and I waited for the email to activate my account. I never got the email and thought I did something wrong. Tried again and it told me the username and email was being used. I still can't get the account to work and if I am supposed to get an email to activate the account, I haven't received one.

May 15, 2010I just got a 8310 for free and she told me she went to use it one day and it stopped working. Like she couldnt hit any buttons or anything, she can scroll but thats it. So I was thinking about trying to wipe it and re-installing a newer OS. I have not done this for this type of phone.

Mar 11, 2010I am curious about BB Desktop Manager 5.0. My Curve 8310 came with BB Tools but it is version 4.3. I downloaded 5.0 from BB website and when I plugged in my 8310 with software version 4.5.0.153 it displayed about a dozen updates to my phone. Apr 2, 2010On my 8330 the clock on the main screen won't change time, it just sits their with the exact same time. If I go into option and then date/time the time in their is correct. Mar 27, 2010Every morning, I get a warning that says, "Device Memory Low Warning". Warning: Free Device memory is less than 4MB. Emails and Calendar events may start to be deleted by the Blackberry OS, a reboot is recommended. Clear Cache and Cancel buttons.
after the Clear Cache is hit a new warning message is displayed. The new warning says: "Available Memory Low. Please ensure clean-up options are running, delete old emails, empty trash, eliminate any any non-required data or applications. Notifylink requires a minimum of 20000 bytes free in order to send or receive. Recommend 500,000 bytes free. 20000 bytes need to be cleaned up." There is only an OK button on the screen. Device free is 5256483. My total database size is 1200.0k. There are no emails, trash items, or sent items in my Notifylink application.
