Got a quick question. Is there any anti-porn filters for Blackberry's? I'm looking for one and I can't find anything online. I don't want to remove my browser because I search for miscellaneous things during lunch but want to put a filter to keep my berry clean from that other filth.
I just got a 8310 for free and she told me she went to use it one day and it stopped working. Like she couldnt hit any buttons or anything, she can scroll but thats it. So I was thinking about trying to wipe it and re-installing a newer OS. I have not done this for this type of phone.
When you are eligible for an upgrade from your current 83xx what device will you most likely get next and why? Personally, the touch-screen's have my interest because of the screen real estate but I'm not sure I want to get away from the qwerty keyboard.
I have downloaded Documents to Go onto my 8330 curve. I have installed the Documents to Go desktop onto my computer. When I try to add my device to the desktop through the set up wizard it tells me my device is not connected. I have it connected with the usb cord, I said no to access mass storage device and I have documents to go open on my phone. What have I not done?
I am curious about BB Desktop Manager 5.0. My Curve 8310 came with BB Tools but it is version 4.3. I downloaded 5.0 from BB website and when I plugged in my 8310 with software version 4.5.0.153 it displayed about a dozen updates to my phone. I declined the updates for now because I didnt want to hack up my phone. Is it ok to update with the 5.0 version or should I stick to the 4.3?
I just recently purchased a Black Berry Curve 8310 off the internet after taking my old Samsung U740 into the lake with me while swimming.. yeah stupid, I know.. So, I found out that the U740 doesn't have a sim card, therefore I can;t just take it out and put it into my black berry. Do I have to go to Bell mobility and ask them for a sim card? Can I use the BB with my old plan?
I downloaded the blackberry desktop manager to my computer.. and connected my blackberry 8330. i went to the application loader to put more apps on, checked all of them and downloaded them to my bb, but i didnt know that it was gonna delete the ones i had there. So now i dont have the internet browser.. how can i get it back ? I already tried: Option> Advanced opotion> host routing table> register now; and it say "registration message sent!" and nothing happens. i dont have blackberry maps either.
Every morning, I get a warning that says, "Device Memory Low Warning". Warning: Free Device memory is less than 4MB. Emails and Calendar events may start to be deleted by the Blackberry OS, a reboot is recommended. Clear Cache and Cancel buttons.
after the Clear Cache is hit a new warning message is displayed. The new warning says: "Available Memory Low. Please ensure clean-up options are running, delete old emails, empty trash, eliminate any any non-required data or applications. Notifylink requires a minimum of 20000 bytes free in order to send or receive. Recommend 500,000 bytes free. 20000 bytes need to be cleaned up." There is only an OK button on the screen. Device free is 5256483. My total database size is 1200.0k. There are no emails, trash items, or sent items in my Notifylink application.
I just came from switching from an HTC Touch to a Curve 8310. Still figuring out most of it. The wider keyboard may take some getting used to. First thing I want to do is get all the apps from my old phone to the new one. I have installed Opera Mini 5 but I have to say I miss being able to toggle through the links. Sometimes the rollerball can be too slow.
I used to listen to music via Radiotime on my old phone. However, that was with Windows Mobile and it doesn't quite work with this phone's browser. I saw the post about blueapple.mobi and quickly got that bookmarked. Right now I am looking for free apps to get me started. Especially a podcast/newsreader and a radio option for my phone.
I am new to blackberry, I just got 1 last month. Mine is a 8330 flashed/unlocked cell phone (the phone is a verizon branded phone) to MetroPCS's network Blackberry. I had a question about how to change my number on it, I got a new phone number from Metro PCS just about 1 hr. ago now, but I don't know how to put it in my black berry. Please help me???
I try using one the Instant Messaging services, I keep getting the error shown in the title. Its not just one, it's all four of them(MSN, AIM, Yahoo!, and GTalk).
My girls blackberry 8320 is having issues. The trackball scrolls perfectly, but does not click at all. We've tried taking it to t-mobile places around here every single time they say "sorry nothing we can do" even during their free trackball replacement promo way back. She refuses to get a new phone for some reason, so I turn to you all for help on this one. Any idea what the problem could be? Would a new trackball from the store fix it you think?
Just started having this problem in the last week. My 8330 won't give me any of my new emails unless I "wake it up" by using the internet. The minute I surf somewhere it'll pop up every single email since the last time I used the net. So for example, I go to bed, and the next morning it won't be showing me any of the emails I received overnight (and I get several every night). If I use the internet to go to to a website, they all come through, bam bam bam.
Also, brand new problem. Just now I tried uploading some things to twitpic and they still haven't gone through. I sent two twitpic emails to my account over an hour ago. Both outgoing emails have clocks beside them (not marked delivered). Twitpic worked 10 hours ago... what is going on?
i have reset IT policy via crack utility, wiped file system, wiped apps-reloaded firmware, successfully loaded "combined 3" service books using instuctions from this forum-but cannot get internet-i am using the paid version of cdma workshop and have access to programming menu, have reset spc to "000000"-the phone is making and recieving calls-just no internet.
I want to control my computer(it just has to use the mouse and keyboard doesn't have to show me the computer screen on my blackberry) with my 8330, is there any FREE applications that do this either with Wi-Fi or Internet? I don't have Bluetooth on my laptop, also if it has USB support that would be nice too(it might eat the battery less
I switched blackberry curves (same models 8310), and I used the switch device wizard on Desktop manager.I've lost my email and browser icons and when I try to get to an internet app (ie. facebook, yahoo), I get an error message stating that I couldn't connect because data service is not available. I was able to access the internet on my other phone.
I've checked the following: - Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table (register and received activation text) - Options > Mobile Options > Data Services is ON - Removed the battery Any other ideas? I am receiving phone calls, texts and my blackberry messenger app is working.
I bought the 8330 about six months ago and purchased the High-speed data package from Sprint. I have confirmed with my provider that I do have the high-speed data package. I noticed that the phone is very slow while connecting to the internet. I took the phone into the store where I bought it which is a Sprint dealer.
The person working there said the problem was that.I only had a 1X for radio signal and I needed a 1XEV. He messed with the phone for about an hour and even talked to support while I was in store. We tried re-provisioning several times and numerous other things. Eventually I was told by support that the particular Blackberry I owned did not support EV(EVDO) service and I would have to purchase a new phone.
My old bb curve 8310 was sitting in my drawer since last september. I had upgraded to the 8900 september of 09, and I was just being noisy and pulled out the 8310 well I turned it on and it had the little 'x' in the top right corner, saying there was no service (yes my SIM was inside and placed correctly). So I took it out and put it back into my 8900 and all worked fine. But then the 8310 didn't even say 'SOS' in to top corner and there was no connections at all. I then replaced the antenna thinking that was the problem but apparently its not bc it still won't pick up a signal. Now it restarts every time I touch it.
I had a Curve 8330 and had a problem with it sync-ing to my computer. Verizon sent me a new phone and it works fine. The only problem is that all of my old emails/texts are on the old device and I need them in my new device. Is there any way to download/sync the new device so that I get access to my old messages? Even if I could download/sync directly from hotmail.I would love to have my old BBMs too but that is definitely secondary.
I have a new Blackberry 8310 os 4.5 recently updated , and I have some problems with my phone is RESTARTING & Restarting dunno why some error messages: "Device error 424" "ABORT DATA-reset" "JVM error 514 .JNI Argument error"
Used multiloader , Crackmem , JL_Cmder. All this things won't work. and the surprise when my Blackberry is plugged on my PC working like a new Blackberry with no errors nothing, and when I unplug the USB the errors come back and reset.
