I set up a recurring event on my calendar. I know longer want this but how do I delete it? When I had a recurring event before it gave the choice to delete the occurrence or the series. Now when I go to delte the appointment it doesnt give me that choice. it just says delete or cancel.
View 8 RepliesThis is about opening from a POPUP, not directly from the calendar. In OS4.x, opening a popup reminder always asked if I wanted to open the series or the occurrence. In OS6.x it just opens the series without asking. Therefore, if I need to reschedule the appointment, I have to go into the Calendar app, where opening the appointment does ask if I want to open the series or the occurrence as it should. I shouldn't have to do that. I skipped OS5.x, so I don't know what it did.

1. Recurring appointment in calender is without sound notification. Only the first event had sound.
2. When I select picture from camera roll, auto-fix it and save, it doesn´t show up in saved pictures folder. This worked great couple of months or weeks ago, not anymore.
When I sync my BB Tour with my computer, it changes the time on my appointments, which is quite a problem! I've check both my BB and my computer and BOTH are correctly set to Central Time. I have not traveled out of my time zone and have not changed any properties on either device.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI would like to know if there is a way to avoid calendar appointment times changing when the time zone automatically updates. I would book theatre tickets in New York at 8pm and put that in my calendar. When my BB Curve updates the time to New York time from South African time, all my appointments also change by the 7 hour difference.
Is there a way of keeping the calendar entries at the entered time when the phone updates it's time zone. This also happens when updating the time manually on the phone.
On my 8330 the clock on the main screen won't change time, it just sits their with the exact same time. If I go into option and then date/time the time in their is correct. If I update time in the menu, the clock on the main screen will change but then it stays at that time. I have not installed any apps lately. Running 4.5.0.169 software.

Made sure i deleted the vender file, but if its just because i have sprint then i completely understand

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've gone into the browser > options > configuration and to change the default browser, I only get Google, Yahoo, and 2 others (which I don't care about).
I want to:
1) change the default to Google.CA - not .com (everything is returning US results even though I am located in southwestern ontario - NOT near the border)OR
2) change it to the google mobile local.
Also... using Rogers I can't seem to change the default "home" page from Rogers, so I never use the "home" page LOL. Any ideas on how I can do that? (I have the curve 8310)
I went to help on the security options screen on my 30 and general settings, hit menu but there is no change pswd option.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a recurring alarm appearing every day until forever in my calendar. I would like to delete it altogether but can't seem to do so. When I choose "delete" it says:Delete recurring alarm?
- Delete the series
- Delete this occurence
But neither works, sometimes that even creates another identical alarm instead of deleting it. how to get rid of this?
my blackberry curve has stopped working again, this is the third time that the fault has developed and this time it lasted a week, each time the device gets returned I'm assured that the fault has been rectified. So far its had the software upgraded, its also had the keypad replaced and an internal service and its now broken again
I have been onto vodafone and all they can do is repair the device again but there getting nowhere with it as each repair only lasts a week is there anyway I can get this replaced through blackberry as vodafone seem to be completely rubbish at resolving this one. I don't even mind getting a refurbished unit or an older model, just something that works. I have tried redoing the firmware, I have also done numerous battery pulls but I'm getting no luck

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen syncing my BB to desktop Outlook calendar with new appointments by USB cable, the appointment time on the BB is exactly one hour later than when its scheduled in Outlook. So, an appt for 10:00 am on my desktop shows as 11:00 am on my BB. Its true whether the appt was entered on my BB or in Outlook calendar. I currently use Outlook 2007 on my desktop with Windows XP, have BB Curve 8530 Version 5.0 with Verizon and use BB desktop software version 6.1.0.35.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4sI use Google Calendar.I do not use iCloud.My calendar is fine and syncs perfectly between my computer (Lightning) and my iPhone 4sBUT when I go to the pull down notification screen on my iPhone 'recurring events' are duplicated. See above for a screen shot of my calendar settings and my pull down screen I can't work out why. As I said they show up as a single entry on the iPhone calendar and on Lightning and Google but not in the pull down notifications.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was given a BB Curve 8310 to attempt a repair. When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".
View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed the BB desktop manager for Mac yesterday, and this morning connected to remove some apps, create some space, and install all the updates. In the process of this it mysteriously just stopped doing anything right after it said "database cannot be backed up" and shut off. Now it's flashing red twice, pausing for about 2 seconds, and repeating the flashing. I pulled the battery and sim even though I was sure that wouldn't do anything, plugged it back into my laptop, plugged it into the wall both with and without the battery, and nothing has changed. The desktop manager doesn't not recognize the device at all.
I'm using a Curve 8330. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed totally? Also, and I know this is a long shot, but what are the odds that I can restore the device and save the data that's on it?
I've had my 8330 Curve with Verizon since November 2008. Very happy with it. I also happen to still be using OS 4.3.0.127 (202), which is what the unit came loaded with. I never bothered upgrading because I would always hear of people having issues or DM only backing up your contacts and not your apps, lower music volume, etc. I don't really need Docs To Go, but HTML e-mail would be nice and the biggest thing is trying to improve these BBM delays I constantly get when trying to send a message. I'm thinking an upgrade to the latest BBM might help change that.
Of course, in order to do that, I need to upgrade to 4.5. So I've decided to do it, but not before I ask for feedback here. I've scanned dozens of other threads here, all with varying opinions. It's been long enough. Is it wise to do this and, if so, what is the latest OS for VZW (is it .138)? What risks am I really running here? Need a reality check on this.
I don't know if this is possible or not so I thought I would ask here, is it possible to alter the way the menu functions in the blackberry curve? in example, what I want to do is like when I send a sms text message and when I hit the trackball and the menu options come up, the send button is highlighted, and what I would like do is modify it so that the check spelling is highlighted first and then send button is right below it, is it possible to do this or is this an internal Blackberry Software modification?

I added a recurring event to my iPhone calendar. It is an event the originated on my work Outlook account that i forwarded to my personal email then added to my calendar. The event isn't synching across iCloud for some reason. It is only on my phone, so I want to delete it. There is no "edit" button on the event and, thus, no option to delete it.

Last week I received two jokes by email from a friend who has been sending jokes for years. I read them and deleted them from my BB inbox, my Outlook inbox and my Apple Mail inbox on my various devices. They are now arriving on my BB several times a day. I checked and they do not appear on my email server on line and they are not being delivered to my other devices, only my BB. My friend is not re-sending them. Why and how I can stop this?

I plugged it in for about an hour but the sign would not disappear so I did a battery pull. Radio turned back on, but now the phone will not charge. The lightning icon still shows up by the battery but it is stuck at 5%. Any suggestions?
