BB Torch :: Puzzling Recurring Emails - How To Stop This
Aug 23, 2011
Last week I received two jokes by email from a friend who has been sending jokes for years. I read them and deleted them from my BB inbox, my Outlook inbox and my Apple Mail inbox on my various devices. They are now arriving on my BB several times a day. I checked and they do not appear on my email server on line and they are not being delivered to my other devices, only my BB. My friend is not re-sending them. Why and how I can stop this?
facebook email and internet has stopped working. this has happened before but usually rectifies itself after a few hours. its been down for 7 hours now, and i need my phone for work. its really starting to effect me and annoy me etc etc

This is about opening from a POPUP, not directly from the calendar. In OS4.x, opening a popup reminder always asked if I wanted to open the series or the occurrence. In OS6.x it just opens the series without asking. Therefore, if I need to reschedule the appointment, I have to go into the Calendar app, where opening the appointment does ask if I want to open the series or the occurrence as it should. I shouldn't have to do that. I skipped OS5.x, so I don't know what it did.
I put my email account on my blackberry so i would get emails to my phone, but i decided i don't want to get them on my phone anymore. I made it so that when i checked my messages it was just phone calls basically but i still get the little icon at the top of my phone that says i got a new email.
How to prevent emails that have already been read & deleted from my wife's Ray re-appearing later (sometimes days later) as new ones in the notification disc on the email icon & in the inbox? It happens on both Hotmail & btinternet accounts in large enough numbers to be a real timewaster deleting them all again & again. (I have to say this doesn't happen on my iPhone - when they're gone they're gone.)
I sold my Blackberry Storm recently and now receive the email below every 30 minutes. Can any tell me how to stop it? I have no Blackberry software on PC at all and had removed my Blackberry membership. I have spoken to the lady who bought my phone, but she says she doesn't recall doing snything that may have triggered the emails either.
I have a user that setup her personal Blackberry to receive Calendar and Contact information from her Outlook at our company. According to her she stopped doing that a while back. However, she receives over 100 emails a day
How to stop emails that I send from my Galaxy S5 phone from being sent to my own inbox via CC/BCC? I see there is a setting, but it doesn't appear that I can stop the emails.
I was recently given a curve 8310 and it is driving me crazy! How do I stop my emails from downloading onto my Blackberry - under options there is NO filed to untick!
How do you tell RIM to stop blocking incoming emails? The forward I have from another email account is now being blocked by RIM servers (it's been working fine for a year)
There was an update to my phone about ten days ago. Now when I try to reply to any message I get "Cannot Send Mail. A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient xxx@xxxx.com was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying". This has never happened before in the year I have owned the phone.
This is very strange, for the past few weeks now my device stops receiving emails in the afternoons. Sometimes it's from noon-11pm, other times it's a few hours say from 2pm-5pm. I just can't get my head around it. I'm still collecting mail in my PC inbox but it's not getting pushed to my device and they all come in at once later on. This is just a regular pop mail account like mail.mydomain.com. I've had the same host for years without problem and a blackberry for about 5. It's a blackberry bold 9000 (I've had since Jan 09) and on the Rogers network in Canada.
I want my emails to come in to my S2 only occasionally, eg when I'm away from home for several days. I've got my 'Account settings' - 'Email check frequency' set to 'Never', but they are still coming in.
This is probably a simple one but any help would be appreciated.I am receiving my work email to my BB which is great, however some day's I am in the office at my desk, and on those day's I do not need to get my mail on my BB.
Is there any way to "pause" the receiving of emails while I am in the office, and then I can manually start receiving emails again once I am not at my desk, short of deleting and installing the account every time?
For all those who liked reading about Steve Jobs' emails to people, as obnoxious as they often were, I'm sorry to tell you but they are about to end.
Now that class action lawsuits are springing up all around Apple (one even using a SJ email to a customer as part of the supporting evidence), I can assure you that Apple Legal is putting the brakes on Steve sending out any more emails. He will protest for sure, but the lawyers always win.
received a phone call asking why im not responding to the contractors emails never received them told him, checked laptop they were on there but my phone stopped giving me my emails checked passwords and info but unable to get any new emails even had wife send me some
After I upgraded to Nokia Belle on my N8, my phone will stop receiving calls, messages, emails and can't even browse the internet. It behaves like I'm not connected my mobile network. I will have to switch the phone off and switch it back on to be able to receive calls again. Every other installed applications work so far they don't need to access the network. The strange thing is that, you won't notice anything. If you are someone that receives calls a lot, you'll just notice that you haven't received any calls or SMS or emails. This happens everyday, sometimes 3 times a day.
When this happens, it never makes it to my outlook on PC, which is where I address my email. Most fixes will say go to settings on "incoming mail" and check "never" delete from server, S6 does NOT have this option.
I have an iPhone 4sI use Google Calendar.I do not use iCloud. My calendar is fine and syncs perfectly between my computer (Lightning) and my iPhone 4sBUT when I go to the pull down notification screen on my iPhone 'recurring events' are duplicated. See above for a screen shot of my calendar settings and my pull down screen I can't work out why. As I said they show up as a single entry on the iPhone calendar and on Lightning and Google but not in the pull down notifications.
I set up a recurring event on my calendar. I know longer want this but how do I delete it? When I had a recurring event before it gave the choice to delete the occurrence or the series. Now when I go to delte the appointment it doesnt give me that choice. it just says delete or cancel.
I have a recurring alarm appearing every day until forever in my calendar. I would like to delete it altogether but can't seem to do so. When I choose "delete" it says:Delete recurring alarm?
- Delete the series - Delete this occurence
But neither works, sometimes that even creates another identical alarm instead of deleting it. how to get rid of this?
I added a recurring event to my iPhone calendar. It is an event the originated on my work Outlook account that i forwarded to my personal email then added to my calendar. The event isn't synching across iCloud for some reason. It is only on my phone, so I want to delete it. There is no "edit" button on the event and, thus, no option to delete it.
my blackberry curve has stopped working again, this is the third time that the fault has developed and this time it lasted a week, each time the device gets returned I'm assured that the fault has been rectified. So far its had the software upgraded, its also had the keypad replaced and an internal service and its now broken again
I have been onto vodafone and all they can do is repair the device again but there getting nowhere with it as each repair only lasts a week is there anyway I can get this replaced through blackberry as vodafone seem to be completely rubbish at resolving this one. I don't even mind getting a refurbished unit or an older model, just something that works. I have tried redoing the firmware, I have also done numerous battery pulls but I'm getting no luck
