I am a busy mom and my kids often have appts that run 5-20 days at a time. On my od curve I was able to schedule recurring appointments on the new curve 8530 model the opton is not available. Is there a solution to this? ( I sure hope so! )

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my first blackberry today. It is a white blackberry curve 8530. I am adding all my personal settings to it and as I was trying to add my email it wont let me. The only option it is giving me is to use a work email with a Blackberry Enterprise Server. I have no idea what that is. All I wanna do is have my msn email address set up. I havent activated it with a service yet. I am going to be using virgin mobile. Could that be why its not working?

the second one now thats a different story. the first one is new the second is second hand and the password and firewall is locked (small red padlock). i have tried to back step the rim and i am now reinstalling the rim from o2 but the divice is still locked. please please could some one in here point me in the correct location of a fix. password and firewall dont give you the option to disable. well lost now.

I can spell check but can't compose.I can't delete the message threads either. That option appears but doesn't function.Any ideas? Very frustrating! Up until the Blackberry Curve was perfect.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI typed in full email address in "To" field and then some text in the body. When ready to send, I press that "Menu" button and got a list of options on the left-hand side. Everything except "Send" Can only save as draft. However,
(1) if I go to contact list first and select someone's email then I can send. No problem.
(2) also, SMS provides "send" option so no issue there either.
(3) receiving emails works fine.
Did "resend service books" numerous times and battery pull too.
I did a search, and I seem to be having the opposite issue many others have had. I am trying to setup a Blackberry Enterprise Server email address on my Blackberry 8530, but I only have the option to setup a personal one in the Email Setup Wizard. I do have a black berry data plan setup, my personal email is working fine on the blackberry, but I need the enterprise option to work with my work's email. I cannot find any support to detail why this is happening.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had a pearl for a few years and just upgraded to the curve a few days ago. The problem is I can't reply to emails. After I receive an email I can select reply and type in my response. I then press the menu key and the only options that come up are "help, save draft, flag, Add to:, Add CC,,etc" I can fwd the email and I can send a new email. For some reason I can reply with my hotmail account no problem but not with my gmail account. This all worked fine on my pearl.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI need to be able to lock my blackberry with a password and I had to be able to just hold down the A key to do this, but after I downloaded the software upgrade to 5.0.0.508 locks the keyboard, not the phone. Also it's darn near impossible to unlock the keyboard with the mute key because I have a case on my phone. I have to pull the case off to get it to unlock.How can I get it back to just the password lock when I hold down the A key? I've tried to go into speed dial keys and update it there, but it won't let me change that one.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy fiance's iPhone 5 has an album that is taking up a lot of space on the phone and the phone will not give me the option to delete any of the pictures on it. I can select each photo in the album, but the trash can icon does not show. The only 2 options I get is to Send or to Add To. All the photos on our PC with Windows 7 installed, so we are okay with deleting them from the phone.

Not sure where to post this, but my wife and I both have the 9700. Yesterday hers quit working. The phone works and sms works.Anyways my issue is this, I am using it for personal use, but cannot send/receive pin messages, my bbm doesn't send/receive invites, and it won't let me setup a personal email.When I click on setup/email the only option available is to add an enterprise email and asks for the enterprise password.Any ideas as to why this is happening or ways around this so I can use my bbm and setup my personal emails to automatically send to my phone like I had before? Mine still works perfect. Any ideas on what needs to be done to get her email set back up and bbm working again ?

I just bought a new Torch and am unable to set up personal email (internet). I have read the postings and have doen the follwoing but to no avail:
1. Re-installed the DM
2. Reset handset
3. Updated and downgraded the softwareon the handset
4. Changed SIM Cards
5. Security wipe of email and contacts.
Unit works fine but I cannot set up my email. I do not have an enterprise server at my work so I do not need to activate it but this is the only option I ever get when trying to set up emails.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

I looked online before posting and saw many people being able to solve this through going into settings>advanced options>applications and then finding and deleting the app however these ones don't appear on the list - how do i delete them? I restored old settings from a backup re Desktop Manager, but now there are messaging problems. One, my setup folder doesn't have an e-mail setup option. Two, in "Email Reconciliation" option, only chloice I have is to change the e-mail account on "Message Services" drop-down. Related to that, if I'm in "messages," my Options screen lacks "Reconcile Now."

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been receiving absolutly no help from my local SPRINT representatives and I am about ready to throw my blackberry out the window.I received a replacement phone for my blackberry that has a missing part and I was able to sycronize all things from the old blackberry 8330 onto the new blackberry 8530.problem is that I am not getting my emails now! When I go to set up wizard, I am not given the options to set up new accounts or to delete accounts, just to sign in and when I do, the log in and passwords are not correct even though they are.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought a 8520 last month and I am using the telephone with the italian language. By mistake I had cancelled some pre-installed apps like DocsToGo and I reinstalled them by ising Desktop Manager. At the same time I got the chance to cancel the languages I don't need. Since then I have problems with the date format: date format should be in the european standard (DD/MM) but it always appears in the US one (MM/DD). This happens only on the desktop, clock, and phone call list. Otherwise sms and calender are correct. I have 4 languages installed at the moment on the device (according to the language option list): Italian, English, English (UK), English (US) and German. With all those languages I have the problem with the date, only if I choose German it's correct. I have been advised to update the firmware, but unfortunately it didn't help.
I have also unistalled some third party programs but it also didn't help. Theme is the standard one and no new one has been installed. This is quite an annoying issue, even though it doesn't dramatically affect the usage of the phone. I did a backup before installing the DocsToGo apps.

But, I tried the freebie version first to see if it made any difference. It did. I normally get a minimum of 8 hours of mid-level usage on my phone. J.D. has increased that by at least a couple of hours and doesn't seem to be having any of the goofiness associated with task killers.
View 9 Replies View RelatedHad trouble uninstalling Nobex Radio Companion it required restart of phone to complete uninstall which i did but on restart phone would not start.Removed/refitted battery and started ok but i now have 3 new apps which i cant delete - virgin music sync,bubblebash2,and gameloft which i did not download and if i press menu for each item there is no option to delete/uninstall.When i connected phone to computer and checked with desktop software the apps dont show up.

- Delete this occurence
But neither works, sometimes that even creates another identical alarm instead of deleting it. how to get rid of this?
my blackberry curve has stopped working again, this is the third time that the fault has developed and this time it lasted a week, each time the device gets returned I'm assured that the fault has been rectified. So far its had the software upgraded, its also had the keypad replaced and an internal service and its now broken again
I have been onto vodafone and all they can do is repair the device again but there getting nowhere with it as each repair only lasts a week is there anyway I can get this replaced through blackberry as vodafone seem to be completely rubbish at resolving this one. I don't even mind getting a refurbished unit or an older model, just something that works. I have tried redoing the firmware, I have also done numerous battery pulls but I'm getting no luck
Are there any weather apps out there that actualyl shwo the weather on the main screen without going to the app?
