Starting today for some reason, I can only compose text messages but can't send them because the option just no longer is there. I can spell check but can't compose.I can't delete the message threads either. That option appears but doesn't function.Any ideas? Very frustrating! Up until the Blackberry Curve was perfect.
I typed in full email address in "To" field and then some text in the body. When ready to send, I press that "Menu" button and got a list of options on the left-hand side. Everything except "Send" Can only save as draft. However,
(1) if I go to contact list first and select someone's email then I can send. No problem. (2) also, SMS provides "send" option so no issue there either. (3) receiving emails works fine. Did "resend service books" numerous times and battery pull too.
I did a search, and I seem to be having the opposite issue many others have had. I am trying to setup a Blackberry Enterprise Server email address on my Blackberry 8530, but I only have the option to setup a personal one in the Email Setup Wizard. I do have a black berry data plan setup, my personal email is working fine on the blackberry, but I need the enterprise option to work with my work's email. I cannot find any support to detail why this is happening.
I had a pearl for a few years and just upgraded to the curve a few days ago. The problem is I can't reply to emails. After I receive an email I can select reply and type in my response. I then press the menu key and the only options that come up are "help, save draft, flag, Add to:, Add CC,,etc" I can fwd the email and I can send a new email. For some reason I can reply with my hotmail account no problem but not with my gmail account. This all worked fine on my pearl.
I need to be able to lock my blackberry with a password and I had to be able to just hold down the A key to do this, but after I downloaded the software upgrade to 188.8.131.528 locks the keyboard, not the phone. Also it's darn near impossible to unlock the keyboard with the mute key because I have a case on my phone. I have to pull the case off to get it to unlock.How can I get it back to just the password lock when I hold down the A key? I've tried to go into speed dial keys and update it there, but it won't let me change that one.
Had my BB on Orange 1 week PAYG. It took a week to bring my phone number from previous carrier, Meanwhile I was given a temp one. The number appears when I press send but although my number has now been transferred, the temp number still appears when I press send. Don't remember whether I input the number when setting up or whether it appeared automatically when the phone read the sim card. Please is there a way of me entering the new number or do I need to wait for Orange to do something, or tell Orange?I'm sure there is a very simple answer.
I am a busy mom and my kids often have appts that run 5-20 days at a time. On my od curve I was able to schedule recurring appointments on the new curve 8530 model the opton is not available. Is there a solution to this? ( I sure hope so! )
I've ported over my old number to orange and all seems ok but When i press the green phone button and the list of recent calls comes up the number displayed in the "my number" line at the top of the screen is the number i had before my number was ported over. I've contacted Orange and they sent me a text to update my settings. This didn't solve the problem. I have noticed when i do make a call the correct number is displayed on the right hand side of the screen (in call).How do i ge the "my numnber" line to display my correct number?
For the last 2 weeks, I've been receiving a call from a "private number." The calls come at either 10 or 11 AM and also at 2 or 3 PM like its happening on the hour. They are disconnected from the other end after 3 seconds...there is no one on the line, nothing computerized, no static, nothing. Anyone else having these issues? I have the latest VZW software fwiw.
Got a bold 9900 with software version 7.1.0 bundle 1149 and my carrier is vodacom South Africa. My phone will auto answer private numbers without ringing at the exact moment the call come in. Went through the settings and there is nothing wrong. Auto answer is deactivated in call options.
I have a new-to-me device, after my original Curve 8530 had to be sent back to the carrier. I restored old settings from a backup re Desktop Manager, but now there are messaging problems. One, my setup folder doesn't have an e-mail setup option. Two, in "Email Reconciliation" option, only chloice I have is to change the e-mail account on "Message Services" drop-down. Related to that, if I'm in "messages," my Options screen lacks "Reconcile Now."
I have been receiving absolutly no help from my local SPRINT representatives and I am about ready to throw my blackberry out the window.I received a replacement phone for my blackberry that has a missing part and I was able to sycronize all things from the old blackberry 8330 onto the new blackberry 8530.problem is that I am not getting my emails now! When I go to set up wizard, I am not given the options to set up new accounts or to delete accounts, just to sign in and when I do, the log in and passwords are not correct even though they are.
I took a postpaid fee by my wireless provider, to be able to install email account; I'm also connected to my private wifi; my goal is, after this first month, only use my wifi (or other wifi), with my BB 9300; all seems correct; BlackBerry Internet Services is on in wifi, I have Internet, I receive tweets, my email adress is OK... but no emails at all!! Why does I receive all wat I need, with wifi except emails???
If a contact in my favorites has more than one number associated with it. Every time I try to call that person a window pops up with the available numbers. So far so good, but then when you press the number you want to call you must also choose between "mark as default" or "just once" EVERY TIME.
For most of these contacts choosing a default number would be more trouble than it's worth because the number I want changes depending on time of day etc. I would just like to skip that step entirely.
I just got a iphone 4s and am having problems with my imessage. I can turn it on using my apple id but my mobile number does not appear anywhere for me to choose it as an option. I keep getting "waiting for activation." The same thing is happening with facetime. I don't have the option to choose a mobile number.
