I upgraded my Sprint 8330 to every single type of 5.0 upgrade, and it doesnt have any change of appearance like those i've seen in the videos.Ive wiped my whole phone, and tried that way. Made sure i deleted the vender file, but if its just because i have sprint then i completely understand

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy old bb curve 8310 was sitting in my drawer since last september. I had upgraded to the 8900 september of 09, and I was just being noisy and pulled out the 8310 well I turned it on and it had the little 'x' in the top right corner, saying there was no service (yes my SIM was inside and placed correctly). So I took it out and put it back into my 8900 and all worked fine. But then the 8310 didn't even say 'SOS' in to top corner and there was no connections at all. I then replaced the antenna thinking that was the problem but apparently its not bc it still won't pick up a signal. Now it restarts every time I touch it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my Verizon 8330 to Nathanix 5.0 Hybrid. I like the features of this OS, but now the Application Memory is almost full (I keep getting the screen that prompts me to select apps to delete) and it is running slow.
When I unlock it, it takes quite a few seconds to "boot up"; the hourglass is turning, but the keys and trackball don't do anything. This is really annoying if I recieve a SMS or email and want to check it really quick.
Also, it has been freezing up a few times a day, and I end up doing battery pulls.
I really like some of the features so I'm not sold on going back to my old OS, but this is annoying.
i did a reset and my os seemed to have changed. i dont have the "all' folders and "search" universal on top. icons on the options menu and most menu are on a list view. how do i change it back?

I don't need it all the time but it would be useful when making working calls when on the road so that they don't have my personal cell # and nobody ever answers " unknown" so *67 isnt the key.
I also am not really interested in spoofing my number with a fake one or creating a Google voice (or similar account) and then having two phone #'s to worry about.
I've had my Samsung Seek since February and it's a pretty good phone, the best Boost Mobile has to offer second to the Samsung Prevail. I'd like to edit some of the system sound files and edit the theme and just open it up for customization. My girlfriend has a MyTouch 4G and my brother has a Samsung Prevail and I've rooted both their phones. I wish the Seek was as customizable as Android phones but hopefully you guys can help me out. I tried doing a search and nothing came up so I decided to post this topic. How can I go about editing the firmware to change system sound files and appearance? Can anyone link me to a how-to or explain the procedure to me? I'm not on the level of a developer or anything like that, but I can follow instructions pretty well and I can figure stuff out.I searched Google and found this, is it the right tool? How do I use it properly and not brick my phone? Will my service be interrupted once I'm done?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my 8330 the clock on the main screen won't change time, it just sits their with the exact same time. If I go into option and then date/time the time in their is correct. If I update time in the menu, the clock on the main screen will change but then it stays at that time. I have not installed any apps lately. Running 4.5.0.169 software.

When I had a recurring event before it gave the choice to delete the occurrence or the series. Now when I go to delte the appointment it doesnt give me that choice. it just says delete or cancel.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've gone into the browser > options > configuration and to change the default browser, I only get Google, Yahoo, and 2 others (which I don't care about).
I want to:
1) change the default to Google.CA - not .com (everything is returning US results even though I am located in southwestern ontario - NOT near the border)OR
2) change it to the google mobile local.
Also... using Rogers I can't seem to change the default "home" page from Rogers, so I never use the "home" page LOL. Any ideas on how I can do that? (I have the curve 8310)
I went to help on the security options screen on my 30 and general settings, hit menu but there is no change pswd option.

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen I first got the Xperia 10 the standard english keyboard had the question mark and exclamation mark on the front screen, as well as an option to select a range of different emoticons.All of a sudden I now have a really basic looking keypad, and I have to go to another screen to access ? and Also, the word prompter was much bigger on the previous keyboard, and there was an arrow option.Now I can't go to a certain point when texting using arrows either, which is weird.I have tried looking up manuals and all it tells me to do is select standard keyboard, which I have done - there don't appear to be any other options to change the look and feel of keyboard.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem (and so do all my colleagues) with BB Bold 9780.When someone, who's phone # and the name etc is stored in my Address book calls me and my device is locked (it gets locked if not in use for 10 minutes) what I see on the screen is the phone # of the caller, but no name. If device is not locked - the name of a caller appears along with the #.This is very uncomfortable, because I do not remember the # of all the people in my address book, so when there is no name - I don't know who is calling.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to the new version of BB (I think version 5?) two days ago.Yesterday, I couldn't find my BBM icon.Took out the battery, etc.Didn't come back (even though it was listed in the application list).I reinstalled it via the BB App World and then got my contacts through backup.Today, it's not letting me send BBMs and if someone sends me a BBM they get an X. Everything else seems to be working fine (Im' getting emails, etc).I also did a soft reset (pulled the battery out)nothing changed.
Anyone come across this issue and know how to resolve it?
So, unfortunate circumstances for a first post here. I'm afraid my WiFi chip is dead and hoping someone can help me realize it's not.I have a Curve 9300, purchased back in April with the fabulous OS 5 on it. My husband and I bought matching phones.
Historically, I've had some WiFi issues here at my house, which could be traced back to a crappy D-Link router. Devices were being "kicked off" the network when more than two were trying to use it (xBox, phone, laptop, etc) It always seemed like my phone had the most trouble staying connected here, but it would always acknowledge that the network was there (it would show up in the list of networks most of the time), and if I went to OTHER houses or public WiFi Hot Spots, I could connect without a problem. About a week ago I upgraded to OS6 (if I had paid better attention to my software update checkboxes, I wouldn't have done it, man I hate OS6) and ever since then, my Curve won't even acknowledge the EXISTENCE of my WiFi network, even after I re-entered all the network information manually. Thinking it was our (straight-from-hell) router, I bought a new Linksys model and set it up... same problem! Since then I have tried changing every setting, manually entering network data repeatedly, even connecting with the WiFi Protected Setup button, and it's just not working. My husband's Curve, meanwhile, is connecting just fine.
I recently made the mistake of upgrading my OS on my Telus BB 8350i Curve. I have had many issues with the new upgrade but the one that is driving me crazy is the battery drain since the upgrade. Previously I got almost 2 days on a full charge, and now I can't get 6 hrs. Have tried everything, battery pull, resets, took it to the Telus store, they gave me a new phone and a new battery.still no change.it must be some kind of setting or something that changed in my profile?

Once I was finished with the backup and the upgrades and was able to disconnect, I had to rearrange my icons. During this process I noticed that all my SMS messages were not labled with a sender but just the phone number. Noticing this I quickly checked my contacts and there was about 50 out of 250 contacts listed. I have tried to restore from the back and this resulted in even less people listed in my contacts!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded the software on my BB and I have 3 e-mail accounts that I have been using with it. For some reason it randomly selected one as the default to use when sending out messages, etc. from any application. I have changed it to the e-mail I want (Options>Advanced Options>Default Services>) however this doesn't fix my problem. I even deleted the e-mail address from my blackberry and in my calendar it still shows a default that is not what I put in the options. The wrong e-mail is still set somewhere because when I go to use Viigo it tries to send it from the e-mail address I deleted!
