I Recently bought a Sony Ericsson Elm and transfered all my old numbers across from my w810, however it now lists/sorts them by surname: name
E.g. David Jones now appears as Jones:David/M
Is there any way to change the appearance of my contacts so that it is displayed and sorted by 1st name instead of last name.
I have a few issues with my W595. I have taken a back up of all my phone contents using PC Suite but being a belt and braces sort of chap, I really want a hard copy of all of my contacts. I have been able to do this easily with other phone versions of PC Suite but I can't see how to do it with the W595 version. It is very important that I do this because the issues I am having with my phone, (it keeps losing all of the contacts and call history as well as stored text messages).

I select a contact and it gives me 3 options, 'call', 'message' and 'view in contacts'. If I select view in contacts is brings up an error message saying 'Contacts: Memory Full. End some running applications and try again'. I have no applications running at all and this is my only request. Do you know how to resolve?

But if I type in my home number and ring it, it comes up with ringing home. Yet if the contact weren't saved on the phone it would come up with random number ringing and not saying calling home. When I turned off my cellphone and turned it on again, I found that contact names don't appear in messaging (inbox, sent, etc), instead, they were shown as numbers (how do you expect me to memorize all the numbers @_@). I tried to restart it, sometimes it worked (the contact names appear), sometimes it does not.But when I tried to call, the names appeared Does anybody know what's wrong with my hazel?

I switched the phone back on, no difference at all. I used Rodriguez HD V.4. Did I do something wrong? I was expecting a dramatic change to the sound volume but nothing noticeable changed.

I am using a2 uploader and whenever i place the camdriver0.dat into the ifs/settings/camera folder, i close down a2uploader by clicking shutdown, then when i turn my phone on after reinserting the battery i can tell the actual camera image is different, but the menu is still the same. I cant go to manual focus or any of the features that cybershot xperience offers. I have also tried replacing the en.lng file into the correct folder (forgot which one it was, but I know it was exactly the folder the tuto told me to go into). Can anyone please help me? I really want the manual focus.

My pain is the OS which is Symbian S60 5th Edition which I hate more than the darkest hour. I wish if Sony Ericsson could change the OS from Symbian S60 to Android what is the possibility to such so? is it need some hardware to be change? I feel pity for my Vivaz as it works using Symbian while my brother has Xperia X10 Minipro works with Android 1.6.

I've had my phone for about 5 months now and everything's been fine. But a couple weeks ago, I tried to change some of my contacts' names by adding emojis or changing their full names to nicknames I like to call them. About 30 seconds after changing one of them, I saw it change back to what it originally was as soon as I opened my messages, so I went back to my contacts list and saw that all of the ones I had changed went back to what they were before.Â
The problem now has gotten worse, seeing as whenever I try to change someone's contact name or add a new contact and put some emojis to their name, a minute later the emojis will be completely cleared out of the name or if it was an old contact, it will change to something totally random(the emojis could just change to some different emojis, or the name will change back to what it was before, or if I had 3 emojis the last 2 will be deleted etc.). This is also extremely annoying because when it randomly decides to change back to what it was before, things like their contact picture will just randomly change to an old one or just clear out overall. It's also really weird cuz when I pull down to "iPhone search" on my home screen and try to look my contacts up, some of their names will appear as what I tried to change it to but then in my contact list be completely different.Â
I've tried everything from restarting my phone to deleting the contacts and recreating them (still takes off the emojis or some other weird stuff) It's just really annoying cuz I have some contacts with the same names & need to be able to differentiate themp.

I recently bought a nokia n95 (the silver european one) and I have this sony ericsson k510i and I have too many contacts to fit them all on a SIM card so I was wondering is there any alternate way to get the contacts transfered from the SE to the nokia and please note that the k510i does not have a memory card :/
