My phone went missing and I decided to get something different. Is there any way to get the phone numbers and anything else that is in my last sync without having my phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I had an older Curve, and now I have a brand new Curve 3g. The older phone has malfunctioned, and I can't use the keypad, but it still recongizes the software when plugged in, and i can charge it - this is why the data couldn't be transfered from my old phone to the new one at the Verizon store. So, I want all the contacts, my to-do lists/memopads, etc transfered into the new phone using Blackberry Manager on my PC (Vista). So i selected the 'Device Transfer Wizard" from the main menu, and followed instructions - i get an error message that tells me, basically, I "need to remove some applications from my existing device because there is not enough space on the new device to accomodate them:" I don't get this - the new phone has 256mb memory compared to 32mb in the old phone, and I don't even have apps on there except facebook (I tried to delete my apps on the old phone and all it showed me as having was Facebook.So, I tried un-checking various boxes on the screen that asks what i want to transfer, and even with them all un-checked it still tells me there is not enough room to transfer.Am I doing this wrong? i just want my contacts and to-do lists transfered to the new phone - I don't know what this thing about the "applications" and such is about but I just want my data transfered.I will say that the Blackberry Manager application that I have is very slow, non-intuitive, and generally a huge pain in the **bleep** to work with - I would think that a slick tech company like Blackberry would have a far better program than this "Blackberry Manager".. I am impressed with the Blackberry phones but dread using that Blackberry Manager every time I need to (such as when putting anew ringtone on my phone).

For my peace of mind, I would like to see some of this data (addresses and phone numbers) just to insure that I did the back up correctly. Is this possible?

A sync between the iPhone and MacBook has occurred since then, which of course makes matters worse.If I restore my MacBook from yesterday's Time Machine backup and then do a restore on my iPhone (which will use the backup file created before all of my data was deleted) will this restore my phonebook entries?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy IPhone 4 connected to my mac today. Took a call, then looked through my phone and all the phone numbers have lost there contact name details. It seems that the problem is related to Sync as my contacts are located via microsoft outlook. But sync details are turned on and they are not syncing. Have backed up office 2011 and reinstalled fresh, and still not syncing is happening. So that would say that this is not an office related software issue. I'm lost to backup all and start from scratch.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI turned on the "contacts" feature in the iCloud menu in settings on my iPhone4. I ended up with a lot useless email addresses from my yahoo contact list that was cluttering up my phone contacts (actual phone numbers.) I thought I could undo this by turning off the contacts feature in iCloud. Instead, it wiped ALL of my phone number information in contacts, and left me with just the list of my email addresses, which I don't need. I am desperate to recover all those phone numbers!

It happened while I was driving for 2hrs on a highway, with the phone resting on the empty passenger seat, not touching the phone. Lost all data, all apps, all pics. Very frustrating. After 3 days of research (visiting Verizon store, calling Verizon, calling Samsung, internet research), the possible cause may the following:
About 2-3 hours before driving, the phone did a scheduled automatic update, which took more than 30 min to complete. This all happened in a signal-weak area. Tech support said, although the update completed, it may have had some flaws, and when the phone detects that, it may resort to a factory data reset to avoid greater functionality problems.
Unfortunately, the end result included functionality problems, most notably that the phone calendar only synched partially (!!) with my desktop Outlook calendar, and promptly I missed two important appointments.
When a scheduled update comes your way, make sure you backup all contacts, photos, data etc, before allowing an update to perform.

After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

After a hard reset of my N8 I tried to restore my contacts from OVI Sync.But for some strange reason contacts that have only "Phone (work)" as a number loose the number (all other details are restored). But they end up without any phone number Contact that have additional info (like "Mobile phone") don't loose the "Phone (work)". Also some of the "standard" settings are lost (as they are when syncing with OVI Suite).Very annoying since you then have to choose number or address when calling/smsing.

However, I got stuck on step one because I have not yet used the Desktop Manager, and cannot figure out how to get past the initial DM welcome screen with my broken phone.My phone won't currently connect to DM because the phone can't properly start up. I was able to sync fine before I formatted my hard drive. Now, when I try to configure my sync settings, the, "Folder is missing..." error pops up when I click Finish (the last step). This happens for every setting I try, calendar, address book, memos, tasks.It seems that this is quite the problem, many threads with this question, but no clear answers. Can anyone walk me/us through a solution for this problem?
When I upgraded my desktop software it found a software upgrade for my phone, when that was done my BBM is missing from my phone. I restored a backup file to the phone but BBM is still gone. How can I get this back?
