View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that when the Blackberry loading page start up and the little status bar reaches full, it takes a few seconds longer to bring me to the home page. Before, it would fill up, then like 2 seconds later the carrier splash page would come up and then my homescreen. Now, it stays on the black Blackberry loading page for at least 10 seconds before the carrier logo comes up. Is this normal? I don't my phone to die on me or something.
View 14 Replies View Relatedi bought this bb curve 9320 on 15 Aug 2012 from mobile store, since then i'm facing this issue of ringer going off n device reboot all of a sudden, got this checked twice with redington service center, according to redington official software needs to be updated, but they are themselves are not sure whether it will solve my problem or not, infact they suggested to use the device on 2g mode only, have checked the version, it has a latest version installed i.e 7.1.0 bundle 1319. Request help. I'm very disappointed the way blackberry provide customer service and cud not believe that this is actually happening, 15 k price tag not worth for this kind of device

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm updating my BlackBerry Curve 8520 device software version from 4.6.1.272 to 4.6.1.314. I used the BlackBerry Desktop Software and clicked the "Update my device" button in updating my BlackBerry Curve device software version. The process was started last Monday, November 15, 2010 but until now is not yet finish (Thursday, November 18, 2010). Is this normal? I cannot disconnect my device because it said that "During these steps, do not disconnect your device or interrupt this process as it could make your device unusable."
View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my blackberry software overnight on my device (curve 9330) and when I woke up in the morning there was a constant white screen with a little diagram and 561 error message underneath. I followed the instructions to update the device software on my desktop and had the latest version (6.1.0.35).The device does not connect to the PC at all and a battery reset on the device did not help.It is frozen with the white 561 error message screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried things on the internet, but no success.I've installed an app and remove from BB which doesn't remove icon. Some say the BB has to be Rebooted to clean up left over things. I find this unusual that a normal user wouldn't know how to uninstall apps properly especially having to reboot.I want to be able to restart (reboot) my BB without pulling the battery.
BlackBerry Curve 8530 OS version 5.0.0.734
my blackberry curve 9300 always freezes and I have to remove the battery to reboot.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor about the past two-three weeks, my Curve 8530 has started randomly rebooting - during calls, not during calls - I have not identified a pattern about when. When it comes back up 5-10 minutes later, the battery was always completely drained. I ordered a new battery and fully charged it. Day one with the new battery was uneventful - no random reboots, no loss of all battery charge after one 15 minute phone call, although the battery was low by the end of the day.
Today is day two with the new battery and I had another random reboot, however, this time at least my battery wasn't drained when it came back up. What causes these random reboots? Is there any way to get them to stop?
I am with Verizon and already did the *228 programming update before the new battery.
I've got a curve 8520 and earlier today it was playing up and so I decided to re-boot it by taking the battery out. It seemed normal and I'd left it for a while but when I came back to it, the re-boot hadn't gone past about 2/3 of the way. I've tried several different things, plugging it into the computer, and the wall, and also taken the battery out several more times and each time it still doesn't go past 2/3.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow can I get the same effect as a battery pull with out actually doing it or loading an app? I have tried the QuickPull app and it IS NOT WORKING. I can get it to download but it wont run. I know there has to be some quick way to do it. I have an otterbox defender case on it and its a pain to take it off.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently got my bb curve 8520 but I have noticed that it would reboot randomly without me having to do a battery pull or the alt-shift-delete method. It has reboot twice randomly I am I am very confused as to why it does that and when I rebooted it it started up normal but when I checked it again it rebooted on its own.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI posted about a problem with my battery losing up to 30% battery on reboot but got no answers so am hoping somebody will test their phone for meWhen my battery drops to just below 50%, if I reboot by pressing and holding the power button for about 8 seconds, on reboot, my battery has dropped to as little as 13%, even if there was 48% left prior to rebooting.I originally thought this was happening after tethering but it has turned out, it does it regardless of how much or how little I use the phone and even without tetheringI am on stock 2.3.4 XEU, manufacture unlocked and wondered if some kind soul would be kind enought to see if they can replicate the problem. It needs to be the 9100, complete stock and not rooted really as I am trying to determine whether it's a hardware issue or software issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBattery dischrges rapidly. And yes, I do all the right things for battery life management. It even discharges when the BB is turned off. I replaced the battery already. I think it may have been caused when I upgraded to the new 6 OS. Has this happened to anyone and is there a fix?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe phone doesnt stay on. Unless the charger is in the phone, it says, "battery drain, now shutting down". I've bought a new battery and that doesnt change it. Sometimes I play around with the phone and the battery is not low battery and works until I take the battery out of the phone. Then it just goes to low battery again. I dont know what needs to be changed or what needs to be done.

View 4 Replies View RelatedToday, I would try to open my e-mail/messaging after a message came through, getting to the icon was VERY slow, along with it would not pull up the next screen so that I could see what messages came through. I pulled the battery and sd card, and it still happened.

View 6 Replies View Relatedwhy the battery drains so much when taking it off the charger and prevent it from happening. When I took it off the charger it immediately jumped down to 98 and then within a minute jumped down to 95.
View 24 Replies View RelatedAnd my s5 is running HOT. I can't put my finger on it. I went from 100% battery to 11% in less than 6 hours on standby. What processes may be draining he battery? Location is off, battery doctor and CM security take care of all junk and background apps, sync is disabled. I'm shocked!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI understand that a hardware reset can be done on a X10 mini (which I have done that on my other phone) due to the fact that the battery is built-in. How about the X10 ????
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using Blackberry Desktop software to switch data from old Tour to new Tour and realized mid-way through the switch that I don't have the latest Desktop software installed. The device switch feature "Task in Process 'is going on 3 hours at this point and I'm afraid to stop it and restart it given the warning that the device may become unusable if you disconnect. Should I just disconnect it anyway? Download the latest software and try again? I don't think it should be taking 3 hours to complete this switch!
View 7 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my BB Appworld App on my Torch 9800, and when it told me that the device needed to be rebooted i selected reboot now, and the device will not reboot, it just starts and as the status bar creeps along it ultimately just goes back to attempting to reboot again. This goes on continuously. I have taken battery out and sd card and it still does the same thing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else experienced this? It seems to take a very, very long time to retrieve the device model information. It is extremely quick up to that point, and then when the "round circular M" appears, it seems that it is stalled for some reason. I know I have more than 100 photos and a few videos, but should it take up to half an hour?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was unable to update my iOs by just using my phone, so I plug it to my computer on itunes but the internet connection here is quite poor, so I have to wait for 4 hours to complete my 802.8mb software update download, I plugged my phone in the computer at almost 75% battery charge, so if i wait until the software was fully downloaded my phone will be plugged for almost 3 hours and will be over-charged. does an iphone 4s battery be overcharged? or is it okay to plug it in a long time even if the battery reached its 100% charging level? and does it affect my battery life?
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1
Sprint uploaded lollipop update, camera stopped working. did a factory default hard reset, now it is stuck in a recovery reboot loop. it starts to S5 screen turns off and restarts over and over for five days now?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe dreaded fast battery drain finally starting happening to me the past couple of days. Last night I checked the battery usage and noticed something called 'RILD' was using up 14% of my battery life. What is it? Can you get rid of it? Why was it appearing last night but today after power cycling my phone it's no longer on the list of battery uses?
In addition I noticed that it seems to be taking much longer to charge my battery now than it did before. My car charger seems to be ineffective at charging even though it appears to be working correctly. The light on the charger is lighting up and my phone's indicator is showing it as being charged. But after 30 minutes of charging it hasn't budged the battery meter one iota.
Luckily, I have a friend's battery until my replacement phone arrives tomorrow, but there's no way for me to transfer my contacts over. Is there any way, short of taking down each contact by hand, that I can back up my contacts?
View 14 Replies View RelatedAfter installing 5.0.0.822 update, I did a reboot (alt+right shift+del).Usually, the Bold take about 3mins to reboot, however, it only took about 20 seconds. I saw the Blackberry status bar flash for only a second.I felt the phone did not really reboot. I was also noticing some funny errors when accessing pics or ringtones.I checked the memory and saw the Device Memory as "device memory cannot be read."
2 "fixes" I found:
1. reformat device memory
2. reboot again, either alt+shift+del or battery pull
Have you noticed this problem as well? I found another thread of this happening on .681 without much help either..
Device Memory cannot be read
I have fully wiped the Bold and reinstalled 3 times. I can reproduce the error everytime.I guess I can avoid the problem by doing a battery pull every time instead of alt+shift+del...but that's a hassle.Suggestions? Maybe this is just an inherit flaw for OS 5.0 since .681 and .822 are both showing the same symptoms.
I downloaded an update and when it asked to reboot the device it just keeps rebooting. It gets to the end and starts over.
