my daughter has the curve 8520 and today when she turned the phone on the status loading bar gets to 3 quarters full and then freezes and cant do nothing....ive tried the battery pull and the soft reset with alt control and delete buttons and still no joy it still does the same so not only do i have a phone that cant now be used i have a moody 13 yr old thats not got her blackberry.

So I was thinking about trying to wipe it and re-installing a newer OS. I have not done this for this type of phone.

It keeps trying to restart over and over again. We don't even get to the menu. The screen on my blackberry is white, and pushing a button on the phone only brightens the screen. I'm reluctant to disconnect it because the last device I had tried and tried to upgrade failed part way through and had to be traded in for this one. Anyone know what to do?

My bb 8900 has frozen on the vodafone logo. I have tried taking the battery out but no luck. It just stays on the vodafone logo. How do i completely reset everything? I do not mind if all my data gets deleted. I just want it to work again.

The screen is only on when I put the phone in the charger, but my problem is also that the unlock key at the top is locked, so even when there are lights and energy in the phone I can't unlock it, and therefore I can't use it at all. I've tried pulling the battery out and in again about 3 times. I've tried taking both the battery and the sim card out. I've tried connecting my phone to the computer, which it can, but it didn't help me since the phone is still locked. I've tried resetting it by pressing ALT + CAP + Del. but that doesn't work either.

It required me to reboot the blackberry so I did and now that it has loaded up I get a message saying 'To start using your Blackberry (R) smartphone, you will need to confirm the languages that you use.' and a highlighted button saying 'Continue'. Thing is, I can't press any buttons or scroll through writing or anything. No buttons, though I can use 'alt' and 'caps. There doesn't seem to be a signal either. I take the battery out and put it back in but when the Blackberry loads up again the same screen comes up. I know it has updated because the loading screen is different.

Put it back, turned it on and no results. None of my keys are working. If I press alt or shifts it shows on the right upper corner of the screen that they are being activated, but nothing else happens. I've been trying for hours. I tried the old Alt+shift+Del, I took the sim out, the memory card. I left the phone without battery for an hour but no use. And also my speaker icon shows star insted of curves and my Antenna isn't working either.

Yet when the back light goes out and I press a button. The screen lights back up, but I still cant use any buttons. when I click on the option to check for upgrades to my facebook app from the facebook app on my curve 9330 OS 6, it goes to a URL but does not do anything after that. I currently have 3.0.0.17. Do I have the most recent version of this app for my OS? Is this an FB issue?

I turned it off and on again, but it would only fill up three quarters of the bar on the loading up screen. I then took the battery out left it for a while put it back in, and it has done exactly the same thing. What I can do to get my blackberry working again.
