BB Curve :: Frozen Up Now Startup Screen Keeps Reloading
Mar 17, 2012
My bb frozen up this morning so I turned it off and took out the battery, now when ever I put the battery back the little red light just comes on and the startup screen keeps reloading and that's about it.
I downloaded my lookout virus scanner.Worked great.Did an upgrade from BBapp world and after reboot it starts and the application permission pops up and everything is frozen. My animated screensaver is moving in the background and if I press the alt or caps key the symbol comes on and off but nothing moves and I cant do anything. The phone signal never turns on and the time freezes to when it first starts. I have pulled the battery atleast 20 times and have done the alt caps del reset a bunch too. I email the company of the program and filed a help request but it being the weekend I think Im screwed with them. Can anyone help me out how to get around this I just wanna get my phone back this has been all afternoon.
Woke up this morning to find my 9800 Torch had ran out of battery it was completely dead. When I tried to charge the phone the startup screen came up as normal but it froze when it got to a certain point, I took out the battery and replaced it after 30 seconds, the phone started to reboot and then froze at the same point.I have reinstalled the OS onto my device from Blackberry desktop and have tried this several times today but it is still freezing at the same point, after about 20-30 minutes of leaving the phone it eventually very slowly came on!t the moment my phone is completely useless to me as it has froze again.
I have a iPhone 3G.So I made the mistake of upgrading to 3.1.3 firmware, I had unlocked and jailbroken with Cydia and Blackra1n. So i waited a while until there was some ways to do it to 3.1.3 and used Redsn0w to jailbrake which worked and tried to unlock with Sn0wbreeze and it didn't work, I then turned the phone off and the next day I have turned it on and I think its bricked. It just has the sn0wbreeze symbol, computer wont recognize its plugged in and I have held down hold and home to rest and it does nothing.
Today I attempted to upgrade to the new 5.0 OS via Desktop Manager. The backup was completed and software installed. The process stalled on the reboot portion. My phone turned on, and I saw the blackberry screen with the loading bar below. The loading bar filled up and then my usual AT&T World Phone orange screen came up (which usually lasts for about 5 seconds before the home screen comes up). However, the orange screen lasted over an hour. Since the software was already installed I did a battery pull. The phone started up to the same AT&T screen and stops. The backlight still dims as usual, and comes back up on a button push but its stuck there with no home screen, now for another 3 hrs. It won't allow me to try to wipe or reinstall the OS because the phone has to be started to do so, and it says it can't connect to the phone (but it does recognize my device when its plugged into the computer). I have searched the forums for similar problems but haven't found any others with my problem.
Yesterday I tried to turn on my phone after charging it. It vibrated and the backlight lit up as it usually does when the phone turns on, however, the Sony Ericsson logo does not appear and it stays frozen in this state. I have tried removing the battery for a few minutes but it doesn't change anything. I also tried connecting to PC Companion, which intermittently detects the phone, as if it was being continuously connected and disconnected. I cannot do an update or anything to it from the computer.
A few days ago I had a frozen screen on my 9300 curve and someone told me to press the mute botton on top of phone and it did wok but only for a week, now the same msg. appears on screen and the cursor pad is frozen along with screen.

My curve 8310 that i got yrseterday keeps frezzing every 2 min it was on 02 and i had it unlocked to use on vodafone i have put the latest os on and tried the next one down but as soon as i put the phone down for longer then 1 min it will just frezze on the trackerball but i can press the caps lock and the num lock and they work .ive treid wipeing the phone on bbsak and then loading the os then doing the security wipe but it still frezzez up on me i cant think what else to do
In my thread of "application installation issues", it seems to be determined that my carrier who I got the phone from, is blocking the install of applications as I get a 910 error, application authorization failure, when i try to install an application from: [URL]. After some searching, I've come across BBSAK, which I use to wipe the phone and reload the oS. I've also come across the tool "vendelete" which deletes the vendor.xml files.
So I do the following: 1. Uninstall the original carrier OS from pc. 2. Install OS from different carrier to pc. 3. Use vendelete to get rid of the xml files which it says no xml files were found. 4. Use bbsak to wipe the oS. 5. Reload the OS.
But when the phone boots up, it still shows the sign of the carrier which I don't want, so I presume nothing has been updated? since when I try to install the application again, I still get the 910 error.
My daughter was downloading a new 'theme' from an APP. It asked her to reboot and she selected 'now'. She now has a box frozen at the front of her screen and even taking the battery out has no effect.
I have a new(well, was display model) 8310 & just got a 2gig data card for my new phone & loaded some songs & pictures onto it(nowhere near half filling the card). When I went to unplug it, it was frozen on the home screen!Tried a battery pull, to no avail. It booted up & was frozen again.
Came back to it bout 40 mins later & it had "Do you want to turn on Mass Storage Mode? You might not be able to access some media files in this mode." The trackball worked & I chose "No".Phone appeared to work, chose a ringtone I'd just loaded, no worries. Then went into my pictures... It only showed a few of my photos in thumbnails and froze again! When after another age, it decided to work again, all my pictures (about 30 but reduced to under 200kb before loading) were visible in thumbnails, but most of them were not in proper colour - only in red & green!
Next thing I tried was plugging it back into the computer, deleting & reloading the pics. I also chose 'convert for optimum playback' this time and when loaded & the phone asked about 'Mass Storage Mode' I chose 'yes'.So now it keeps freezing still, for shorter times without apparent reason, as if I've overloaded it(??) and most pics have appeared correctly, but some are still in green/red only.
Yesterday evening I updated my blackberry curve 8520, it then needed re booting and since then it has frozen, the screen and the keys? Was working perfectly before with no problems. I have taken battery/sim card out but still nothing. I have also tried to use my blackberry desktop but it is still trying to connect.
When N96 starts up, it only shows a white screen with a "Nokia" word, but below picture is shows "Nokia Nseries" on white screen, what about your phone?
At first it was restarting 20+ times a day after continuous use, That i could just about deal with as i am due an upgrade after 2yrs. However, one time after i plugged it in to charge it would continuously reboot everytime it got past the startup screen, then it decided to stick on a plain white screen for a few hours. I let it run down on battery to see if this would help but when i went to use it again it started with the usual "Sony Ericsson"screen plus the coloured swishy display but then it just stays on a blank/black screen. It is backlit so it's not turned off. I would normally just let it be and wait for my new phone but it has all my contacts etc stored on the actual phone and not my sim.
My grandson changed the start up screen on my iPhone 4S (ios 7.1.1) and doesn't remember how he changed it. I would like to change it back to what I had. How to change the start up (or boot - not sure what it's called) screen?
my iPhone 4 is now stuck on starting itself up, the screen lights up, apple logo appears, it vibrates and then repeats that all over again. Prior to this my phone had a message on it saying it could not make or receive calls, which is why i turned it off in the first place as most problems seem to be resolved by that. Earlier today, before all this my phone was working absolutely fine and no problems at all - there seems to be no explanation to this !! I have tried holding down the home and lock button as well but this does nothing.
Child got hold of my iphone4, ios5, and the opening screen has been enlarged so I cannot see the slider to open phone. How can I resized the screen to show the whole thing. I cant even do a hard reboot.
I have an XPRT that I obtained from Sprint 30 days ago. Like phone but having issues with screen freezing up when phone turned on. I travel and must turn off phone when getting on plane. Once I get off, I turn on XPRT and it appears to boot up but then freezes or the screen goes blank. I pull the battery, re-insert battery, and power on. Same thing will happen again so I pull battery and go through same cycle. Usually after two cycles, the phone is fine but it can take 4 or more. I took the phone back to the Sprint store where it was purchase and it happened to the tech while he was trouble-shooting this problem. He did not have an answer and he looked at widgets and aps and saw nothing unusual. All apps or widgets are either from Android market or Motorola. Phone has been charged using Motorola supplied charger. Sprint store took back this phone and game me a new one. Seemed to work ok but just go back from trip and same issues. I turned the phone off last evening and turned it on this morning. It would boot up but took 4 cycles to quit either freezing or blank screen. This is getting to be a painful solution. I do have the latest software installed.
I was receiving multiple texts and my phone froze with the indicator light still blinking. I pulled the battery, and now my phone loads up to 3/4 of the way and just freezes. I tried a soft reboot, and multiple battery pulls nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
I've got a BB BOLD 9700 and I woke up today for it to have an all-white screen, so I turned it off via battery as it was unresponsive and now it won't load past 3/4 of the load-up screen... does anybody have any ideas of what I can do?I've looked around on other forums with advice on what to do with a 'nuked' BB, but they all say you've got to have a Windows PC and I've got a Mac!
I just dropped my cellphone and it turned off. when i tried turn it back on, appeared a white screen and nothing more. the keyboard is normal and the screen blinks between white and black. I tried to update via SEUS and flash with a2uploader tool and aerix application BUT nothing happen.
My phone is stuck in some sort of loop and keeps appearing to restart, then it just flashes the startup screen repeatedly until it dies. The battery is draining at a rate of 3-5% a minute. Started when the auto-push update happened about a week ago. I was able to get to the Factory Reset option screen, but I do not want to perform that because don't want to lose my data. There was no option for clearing cache partition.
