I was given a BB Curve 8310 to attempt a repair. When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an error 201 message and my device is caught in endless loop. SPent 1 hour with VErizon last night- and computer will not recognize my device (my guess is that is the endless loop is interfereing) we went to the "wipe" option but to no avail. ANyone have any ideas before I punt this thing and get an I PHone 4 S (and spend a couple of hundred dollars)?

View 1 Replies View Relatedbelieve the source of the problem to be a faulty install of ICS plus a later rooting, as the phone would intermittently go from Android Phone to Unable to Recognize USB Device, to just not being able to recognize the phone. I've uninstalled KIES along with the drivers and installed them back again to no avail. Is it possible to flash the phone with a working Android version without using the computer - through the SD card?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOK in the past (as in last week) I have been able to connect my BB curve to both my laptop and my desktop without issue using the BB desktop manager, and happily synch diary and address books.
This week my husband has decided he wants to install and run microsofts active synch so he can update his old work phone with his photos and music. This was not a problem on our old PC (8 years old). However I have recently bought a P4 dell desktop, and active synch was not already loaded. I'd asked him to wait until I'd run ghost and got a back up of everything but he obviously could not wait.
Since uploading MS active synch my PC no longer manages to connect to the BB curve, so I can't do any synchronising, or updating of software through it. I can however connect and update via the laptop. The laptop does not have outlook, so it's not keeping my diary or address book up to date. Grrr.
My Blackberry Curve 8530 desktop software will recognize photos on the media card in it, but it will not recognize videos. I can watch the video on the phone, but it doesn't show up in the desktop software.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have blackberry curve 8310 and it has not been used for a little while. I just recently decided that I wanted to use it again however when I plugged it in i am getting a symbol of a battery with a red slash through it??? It has now been plugged in for a few hours but nothing has changed
View 3 Replies View RelatedHad to replace the SIM card on my Curve 9360 today and now it won't recognize my BlackBerry ID or password. It just says "please wait" and then does nothing for literally hours. I can log in to the BlackBerry website fine so I know my login and password are correct. My cell phone provider says it is a BlackBerry issue. The log in screen gives you 10 tries to log in before it wipes your phone and I'm on try #8.

I've tried my computer and my boyfriend's computer, and it doesn't work on either. When I plug it in to the USB, it charges, so I don't think it's a problem with the cord. The troubleshooting portion of the BlackBerry desktop manager isn't much help, as I don't know how to do?

View 8 Replies View RelatedAbout two months ago I bought the Blackberry Curve 3G from Amazon. I bought it unlocked so that when I go back home (I'm from Holland and I'm currently in the US for a year) I can take it with me and use my old sim card. The phone worked fine up until last week; the battery died and when I turned it on as it was charging, I got a message saying the sim card was not available. I turned the phone off again, unplugged it and opened it to see if the sim card was properly inserted. It looked fine so I turned the phone back on: same thing. I've been very careful with my phone, never dropped it, never got wet etc so that can't be it.
It's not the sim card because I tried to put in a different card and that didn't work either. When I tried those two cards in a different phone, they did work.
I contacted Amazon and the company that I bought it from; they told me to contact Blackberry. What can I do??
I have been successfully connecting my 8330 to a desktop PC running XP for quite a while. The device sw is v4.5.0.175. I recently got a new Lenovo T410 laptop, running Windows 7. I have downloaded the DM software (v5.0.1) and verified that my device SW is up-to-date, but the laptop is still not recognizing that the device is connected (via USB). I've tried it in all the USB ports on the laptop, and also followed all the steps detailed in KB13146, with no luck. I can't find anything in any of the forums that reference Windows 7.

1. Turning Mass Storage Mode Support OFF
2. Checked what shows up under Control Panel - Device Manager (I'm on Windows 7): Under Portable Devices, shows "E:" (I believe this is the media card that's installed in the BB. Under USB controllers, shows "BlackBerry Smartphone".
3. Launching Rhapsody in "Run as administrator" mode.
4. BB shows up under my Computer only if I turn Mass Storage Mode Support ON. Shows up as removable disk (E:). If Mass Storage Mode Support is OFF, nothing shows up under my Computer. After all above steps, Rhapsody tech recommended I contact the device vendor to troubleshoot and to update the firmware of my device driver. Checked for updates using Desktop Manager and it says no updates are needed.
I have a new laptop with Windows 7. Whenever I plug in my BB to the computer, the BB desktop software starts up & says " connect your blackberry device". When I troubleshoot, nothing has helped. I have tried downloading drivers & reloading the software.
