Attempted to upload software update and upon reinstalling I get the message "Application loader was unable to connect with your device" Phone is completely dead. Have tried removing battery but get same message. As someone who is past his 60's and not too techno savvy
View 2 RepliesI received an e-mail to update one of my e-mail passwords. After going into "setup" , then "e-mail" the screen pops back to the main "setup" screen. When I attempt to exit the screen freezes and then I have to remove battery to reboot.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was excited to receive my e-mail yesterday regarding my available Lollipop Z2 update availability. Sat down, opened PC Companion on my Windows 7 laptop, made a backup for settings (no photos or apps), and then proceeded to receive the update.

PC Companion asked me to keep phone disconnected and that it would notify me when to connect (nice too)...

I started the download, but apparently the laptop went into sleep mode (not plugged to wall), which was another reason not to have phone connected (battery drain due to Z2 charging until 100%)

The rest is blurry, but when I woke the laptop up, it stopped downloading at 51% and kept extending the duration timer.

Proceeded to restart the laptop, but when I attempted to connect the phone... nothing. It charges fine, but is never detected by laptop. The Wireless Media Transfer option was still working, but it would refuse to download Update (as if USB connection was needed). Tried installing on another PC (with admin priviledges) and no go.

Phone never started update... works perfectly with that exception. MTP, MSC, USB Debugging, nothing works). Helium doesn't work. Nothing!!!

The Lollipop update was not destructive (no erasing of phone data), but it seems that I will probably need to reset phone.
I have a Blackberry Curve 9330 (I think) that's about 3 weeks old. I downloaded two ringtones from Verizon and they played fine until yesterday. With no changes it now says "Invalid ringtone". When I attempt to play thru the music icon I get "An error has occurred attempting to play media." However, thru various maneuverings I can get the two songs to play but there's no way to restore them to ringtones. I've tried rebooting several times but nothing. I've searched just about every blog on this website and haven't found an answer. Interestingly, I can play UTube and just about any other media. Also, when I click "Options" in any app for info the only screen I get is to change wallpaper. Clicking "Options" from the home screen gives me the option to change ringtones, display, networks and connections, etc. but trying to change the ringtones results in the "Invalid ringtone" warning. I'm starting to hate this Blackberry!

Proud and all, I just recently purchased a media card to start storing and listening to music.I am now unable to play any sort of media, sound or ringtone. The media card seems to not have anything to do with it. I also don't think it is file format, because videos that I can take with my phone are not able to be viewed.I have a BB 8520.

After this it stopped updating and told me i needed to reset my pc, i did this and afterwards the update stopped running, i hate to reset my phone and reinstate factory settings to get it to work.

Asks to unlock sim then gets stuck on a page saying that it is ready to use then apple logo comes on followed by original page with slider stating to slide to configure phone, never ending loop, tried resetting phone - no change. I tried to sync phone with desktop but no change. I don't want to restore factory settings on the sync page because? Will I be able to retrieve backed up data somehow after resetting?

View 4 Replies View RelatedLast night I did the update to my phone as i kept getting a msg in the drop down tab telling me to do so.Anyway half way through the update i got a msg saying an error has occured pls restart update.......however the phone is now not working at all.When it comes on i get the sony ericcson across the middle and it then goes to a half black, half green (with slight pattern on the green section) screen and turns itself off after a few seconds.I am LOST without my phone. Have tried connecting it back again, but once it automatically turns on and this strange screen appears it turns off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated through iTunes and it had an error at the end. ( forgot the error code). It told me to reboot which I did and now all the phone say is connect to iTunes. I connect to iTunes and the computer chimes like it was plugged in but iTunes does not read it. Everything works fine when I use my iPad, which I updated through Wifi. I have rebooted computer and phone many times. iTunes won't even launch if phone is plugged in first. Windows 8.1 up to date. iTunes 11.2.2. iPhone was 7.1.1. View 9 Replies View Relatedthis morning I took my phone off charge and it crashed like I'd taken the battery out but I hadn't.It got stuck on the O2 loading page and wouldn't turn on so took the battery out and it did the same thing getting stuck on the O2 screen. I found that if you turned it off and on with the power off button it would turn on.After it turned back on lots of the icons were missing, BBM, Browser, Facebook, Emails, Profiles icon (for changing from vibrate to silent etc) and other things that I can't remember just know there's more than that missing as the folders and menu are very empty.I can now get to BBM and the browser using the switch applications menu and they work fine so the applications don't need reinstalling the icons have just disappeared.
I've looked for them in the folders and checked the 'show all option' and changed the theme back to the original and still nothing. Also done lots of restars taking battery out and waiting etc. I haven't upgraded anything recently so can't have been that changing any settings.Also I don't have the cable to attach phone to the computer to back it up and reset to factory settings
Really hoping there's a different way as the applications are there and work fine just need to find the icons?
my blackberry froze yesterday and came up with a white screen so i took the battery out to reset it and now it wont turn back on. it comes up with the loading bar but gets 3/4 of a way through and turns off. iv left it off all night and tried again this morning and its still doing the same thing. is there anyway it can be fixed?

Then I restore and updated the phone with itunes but know this message appear " There is no SIM card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate." The Man who sold me this iPhone told that this phone is from America and I thought it would work here like any other phone but in this case it doesn't work at all.

Out of no where, I noticed that my phone rebooted itself without me initiating a reboot. The progress bar makes it around 60% or so then the screen goes dark and starts the reboot process all over again. I might add, the phone was working fine all day today inside of my home with no water damaging environment
