Jun 12, 2010I just updated my mobile phone and all my messages was gone.So I did a restore all my messages and setting and now the phone cannot start.how can I fix this?

Aug 24, 2010As the title said, my ovi suite crashed during the installation process of the new software ( 31.0.005 ). I did a backup of my phone, but don't know if this and how this is accessible? My phone wont start now.. I don't know what to do.

Jun 8, 2010As I was updating my N900 to the newest firmware, my computer crashed (not because of the install, I was running other hardware intencive programs.) and I'm 100% sure it wasn't finished installing the firmware when it had crashed.
But when my computer crashed the phone seemed to running normally and when it was finished installing it worked fine. Is it possible that it didn't finish?Either way just to be on the safe side, how do I reinstall the update to be 100%?

Oct 26, 2014I was downloading an update on my HTC One via the mobile network when it just hung on me. When I tried to restart it , it just hangs and the screen goes white and then it can't be turned off until the battery fully runs out. I've tried a factory reset but to no avail.

After this it stopped updating and told me i needed to reset my pc, i did this and afterwards the update stopped running, i hate to reset my phone and reinstate factory settings to get it to work.

Mar 19, 2012I tried updating software to 5.1 on 4s phone, now cant get phone to work. Asks to unlock sim then gets stuck on a page saying that it is ready to use then apple logo comes on followed by original page with slider stating to slide to configure phone, never ending loop, tried resetting phone - no change. I tried to sync phone with desktop but no change. I don't want to restore factory settings on the sync page because? Will I be able to retrieve backed up data somehow after resetting?

Oct 15, 2011Last night I did the update to my phone as i kept getting a msg in the drop down tab telling me to do so.Anyway half way through the update i got a msg saying an error has occured pls restart update.......however the phone is now not working at all.When it comes on i get the sony ericcson across the middle and it then goes to a half black, half green (with slight pattern on the green section) screen and turns itself off after a few seconds.I am LOST without my phone. Have tried connecting it back again, but once it automatically turns on and this strange screen appears it turns off.

Jul 1, 2014I updated through iTunes and it had an error at the end. ( forgot the error code). It told me to reboot which I did and now all the phone say is connect to iTunes. I connect to iTunes and the computer chimes like it was plugged in but iTunes does not read it. Everything works fine when I use my iPad, which I updated through Wifi. I have rebooted computer and phone many times. iTunes won't even launch if phone is plugged in first. Windows 8.1 up to date. iTunes 11.2.2. iPhone was 7.1.1. Mar 12, 2010Today my JB'd 3G on 3.1.2 went into a funky state and I attempted to reboot. Since then I've been stuck on the Apple logo at start up and nothing.
So, i put the phone in DFU mode and Itunes 9 is giving me the option to "Update & Restore", HOWEVER, I dont want to do this because I want to stay on 3.1.2 for obvious reasons. I also have been reading stuff about SHSH but I have no clue what this is so one can assume I never did anything prior regarding SHSH.
When itunes has the pop up on the screen saying "update and restore" can I hold "shift and click "update&restore" to choose a 312 ipsw, or is that option only available if restoring without being in DFU mode.

everything was working fine until I updated the Ovi Suite to v 2.1.1.245 then phone wouldnt sync anymore. I restore the computer back to the date before the Ovi suite was updated taking it back to v 2.1.1.1. now the phone still wil not sync. any ideas ? (Im syncing with the usb cable). I often get a messege telling me to set my phone to "set my phones usb mode to ovi suite or PC Suite" which I do of course but no success just fails to sync evrytime now. wish I had nevver tryed to update the ovi software now.

May 21, 2010I'm still pretty confused and with some of them out of date I'm not sure where I stand. The phone crashed yesterday and I need to try and rescue video of my godson's first steps which wasnt backed up!
It had half battery at the time. It has rebooted by itself in the past but dunno how often as I dont keep watch on it. I did notice over the course of the day that the widgets/shortcuts on the desktop had seemed to stop working, but didnt take the time to restart it.
Got a new battery (another 35Euro!) and had them both charged just in case. Here's whats happening. Dunno if anybody can decipher it:
- when I switch it on with the battery, I get the NOKIA logo, backlight and steady blue status indicator, goes dead after 30secs
- Battery out, usb in: status indicator one flash orange. Thats it until I put the battery in again and I get a vibrate and NOKIA logo without backlight. After 30 secs it dies and repeats this cycle automatically
- if I switch it on with the battery in and plug it in while the backlight is on, it again vibrates and has dark logo, except now orange light stays steady every second cycle. If I take the battery out, the orange indicator stays on.
I dunno what firmware is on it, but I dont remember updating it in about two months. I wonder if flashing is a suitable thing for me to try or is my phone a gonner?

Jun 19, 2010I was updating my Nokia 5530 XpressMusic through Nokia Software Updater. Then suddenly the application crashed! -_-".The phone was stuck on a pure white screen and didn't do anything new for five minutes. I eventually took out the battery. When I reinserted and turned on screen doesn't turn on, the vibrator just starts and doesn't stop. I've removed the battery for about 15 minutes and tried again but no luck.What are my options with support? The phone is new so should be under warranty.
