I'm still pretty confused and with some of them out of date I'm not sure where I stand. The phone crashed yesterday and I need to try and rescue video of my godson's first steps which wasnt backed up!
It had half battery at the time. It has rebooted by itself in the past but dunno how often as I dont keep watch on it. I did notice over the course of the day that the widgets/shortcuts on the desktop had seemed to stop working, but didnt take the time to restart it.
Got a new battery (another 35Euro!) and had them both charged just in case. Here's whats happening. Dunno if anybody can decipher it:
- when I switch it on with the battery, I get the NOKIA logo, backlight and steady blue status indicator, goes dead after 30secs
- Battery out, usb in: status indicator one flash orange. Thats it until I put the battery in again and I get a vibrate and NOKIA logo without backlight. After 30 secs it dies and repeats this cycle automatically
- if I switch it on with the battery in and plug it in while the backlight is on, it again vibrates and has dark logo, except now orange light stays steady every second cycle. If I take the battery out, the orange indicator stays on.
I dunno what firmware is on it, but I dont remember updating it in about two months. I wonder if flashing is a suitable thing for me to try or is my phone a gonner?
I just dropped my Lumia 800 phone on the floor and now the screen is black, phone seems to works as it makes sounds, vibrates and connects to Zune software. I urgently need to rescue my contacts from that phone, unfortunately I havent set up live account in the beginning so I dont have them online. How can I get my contacts to my computer, etc without being able to see what phone is doing ?
I was downloading an update on my HTC One via the mobile network when it just hung on me. When I tried to restart it , it just hangs and the screen goes white and then it can't be turned off until the battery fully runs out. I've tried a factory reset but to no avail.
So I restarted my phone a few minutes ago. When it powered back up I get a warning: "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gaps has stopped". I hit ok, but the warning just pops back up. It stays off long enough for me to power off and back on again, but that's not working.
Yesterday I downloaded a new app from the play store, and after about 10 minutes of messing around with the app, it locked up my S6. So i tried to kill the app, no luck. Did a soft reset, vibrated and powered down. Upon reboot, the screen flickered the "powered by android" splash screen and went through its normal boot with the screen black. Tried to get the screen to turn on, but now it only flickers with a green vertical line, and then turn the screen turns right back off... Everything seems to be fine on the phone, ie, i can take pictures(auto upload to dropbox), screen shots, and even answer any incoming calls. But the screen wont turn on. Waiting for the battery to drain to see what will happen, when its dead and i try to plug it in.
the play store in my galaxy S5 crashed and i had to clear its data, cache and finally uninstalled it. by so doing i somehow installed an older version of the play store. how do i return to what i originally had?
Oh no. I have no idea what's happened but my wallpaper and all my widgets and apps have disappeared on my phone. Suddenly they have disappeared. I am getting notifications and have set up a wallpaper again, but all the icons have either diappeared or changed and nothing is as it should be. How in earth do I get it back? And how can I get back the missing icons (eg the apps icon has gone)?
I have had my G3 for about 2 years now, last week my phone screen went green then rebooted and when the phone turned back on it displayed a menu to either reboot or go into dload mode. If you choose to reboot the phone it would loop back to the same menu. I brought my phone to sprint and they said there was nothing they could do and that the phone had crashed. Now the phone turns on and goes to a blue screen and shuts off after the LG startup screen. I got a new phone but the issue i am having is that the phone has very important pictures and videos on it. Is there anyway to recover these?
My k800i has been absolutely fine for the 4 or so years i've owned it but recently trying to start the golf game it came installed with has crashed the phone sending into an auto restart.Today instead of restarting, the phone crashed and had a few pixels on the screen in dark Grey but wouldn't change so i had to remove the battery. Now whenever i turn on the phone, the screen display is completely white and the phone vibrates once. I have tried removing the memory card, letting the phone sit for a few minutes before trying again etc all with no success. After googling this problem it seems fairly common but I didn't want to download different software that could damage it permanently. Does anyone know a good solution to this?
1) sometimes software crashes (any, not related to a specific title) , just disappears ant tile screen is back. Today the phone completely shut down in a second and only removing the battery bring it back to live.
2) In standby, there is a sound like it is switching the speaker all the time on and off.
Was using my phone today and then after about 15 mins I went to use it again and the home button would not work. Had to turn off then turned back on and nothing was different. Did this a few times as I spend a lot of time on my phone and once I was in an app then I could not get back out so I had to keep turning on and off. After a few hours of this the phone crashed and made me reset on iTunes. Did this and it still doesn't work. Phone is a a couple months old as I used my insurance after the last one went swimming.
Tonight a friend and myself were JUST talking about backing up our files on cydia, so I open cydia to look around and boom.. Phone is froze. Reset it and it has the wonderful plug into itunes..I try to jailbreak and it fails now. *Yes, its tethered because its newer.. BUT its still 3.1.2. I went to use itunes to restore and it wants to put 3.1.3 on there.. NOT good.I rely on the jailbreak to use my phone, now its dead. Is there a way I can fix this thing? I have a mac and a pc I can try things on.I hope I can get it working, or else I am totally screwed.. Just bought the phone for 750 dollars last month, and now again I am stuck with nothing. I feel sick to my stomach.
Two weeks ago I bought a new Sony Ericsson Aspen for my daughter, While unlocking the phone today the phones operating system crashes. All attempts to switch off the phone failed so my daughter removed the battery and tried to restart the phone. Without success. The Sony Ericcson logo is shown accomplished with a short vibration. This continues in an endless loop. The only way to stop the phone is to remove the battery again. Pressing the rest button has no effect, the described behaviour continues.
My phone was run over by a car. i brought it to a cell phone repair shop to try and extract the photos from the vacation we where on. i buy a new screen get it installed, my motherboard has crashed and phone wont turn on. I am wondering how i can get the photos off. Its a droid turbo once it fails to start up the screen remains off but it vibrated every 30sec.
I just updated my mobile phone and all my messages was gone.So I did a restore all my messages and setting and now the phone cannot start.how can I fix this?
Just got my X6 couple weeks ago with Facebook already installed.having used this on a regular basis it seems to have crashed the screen froze up and my phone wouldn't work without removing the battery turning off etc.Since then i have removed the app that was already installed and tried to re-install the facebook app from the ovi store with no luck? How and where from (download link) can i get this app back on my phone..?
I am using Nokia X2. I had updated my phone sometime back and it has the following software details:
V08.25 19-05-2011 RM-618 (c) Nokia
Few days back I downloaded a theme to my phone. It worked for 1.5 days and after that it automatically restarted my phone and after that my phone was automatically formatted. It was like a kind of trojan horse attack on my phone. After this, my phone's software was affected and some of the tools like Calculator and Games were lost. I thought to do a factory restore (soft as well as hard format) as well, but nothing restored those lost applications to my phone. As of now, I have lost many applications that came with my phone when I had bought it. I even lost 2-3 themes that had come with the phone.I tried updating my phone again with Nokia Ovi Suite so that it may update my lost applications but it says that my phone is already updated. What to do? How to get back those applications?
So I took a video of me shooting a paper ball and slightly missing a trash can from my Galaxy S6 using the slow motion feature. I took that video and transferred it to my computer to edit it and put Chariots of Fire as the background music. I saved that file, keeping the exact same file type (MP4) and transferred it back to my phone. However, now when I view it on my phone, the video is the fraction of the size even though the dimensions still say 1280 x 720. When I press the full screen button, it enlarges but only vertically. I've tried converting it to H.624 and I'm normally pretty good at figuring this stuff out but I've hit a wall.
I was updating my Nokia 5530 XpressMusic through Nokia Software Updater. Then suddenly the application crashed! -_-".The phone was stuck on a pure white screen and didn't do anything new for five minutes. I eventually took out the battery. When I reinserted and turned on screen doesn't turn on, the vibrator just starts and doesn't stop. I've removed the battery for about 15 minutes and tried again but no luck. What are my options with support? The phone is new so should be under warranty.
As the title said, my ovi suite crashed during the installation process of the new software ( 31.0.005 ). I did a backup of my phone, but don't know if this and how this is accessible? My phone wont start now.. I don't know what to do.
As I was updating my N900 to the newest firmware, my computer crashed (not because of the install, I was running other hardware intencive programs.) and I'm 100% sure it wasn't finished installing the firmware when it had crashed.
But when my computer crashed the phone seemed to running normally and when it was finished installing it worked fine. Is it possible that it didn't finish?Either way just to be on the safe side, how do I reinstall the update to be 100%?
Okay, the video problem only happens when I use High resolution Video Mode( Tv and Widescreen Mode). It always lags when I play it. What happened? Is my phone capable to play High Res Video?
I just got a new iPhone and I tried to purchase an app. A Notification popped up and said I had to answer security questions...I forgot the answers and to change them I have to send an email to a rescue email I never made... how do I change the rescue email
