Jul 13, 2011My Driod X crashed. I lost most of my contacts and all the installed apps. Is there anywhere to recover the apps installed instead of going to market one by one?

Motorola Droid 4 :: Crashed During Sleep Mode?
Jul 6, 2012My phone had an 80% charge last night and the nightime battery extender mode was on (as it is every night). Five hours later I woke to the flashing green light so I tried to check my messages. The screen would not come on. I knew the phone hadn't powered off because of the green light. I called from my home phone but there was no sound either. I looked online and found how to force a reboot (power on and volume down button at same time). The phone came on and said it still had a 50% charge. It did NOT show my missed calls! I called Verizon and they tried to say it was a fluke thing and not to worry. This has never happened before and the phone is only a month old. I rely on the phone as an alarm so this is especially disturbing, as well as the unknown missed calls.

Jun 1, 2015My phone was run over by a car. i brought it to a cell phone repair shop to try and extract the photos from the vacation we where on. i buy a new screen get it installed, my motherboard has crashed and phone wont turn on. I am wondering how i can get the photos off. Its a droid turbo once it fails to start up the screen remains off but it vibrated every 30sec.

Mar 19, 2012I tried updating software to 5.1 on 4s phone, now cant get phone to work. Asks to unlock sim then gets stuck on a page saying that it is ready to use then apple logo comes on followed by original page with slider stating to slide to configure phone, never ending loop, tried resetting phone - no change. I tried to sync phone with desktop but no change. I don't want to restore factory settings on the sync page because? Will I be able to retrieve backed up data somehow after resetting?

Oct 15, 2011Last night I did the update to my phone as i kept getting a msg in the drop down tab telling me to do so.Anyway half way through the update i got a msg saying an error has occured pls restart update.......however the phone is now not working at all.When it comes on i get the sony ericcson across the middle and it then goes to a half black, half green (with slight pattern on the green section) screen and turns itself off after a few seconds.I am LOST without my phone. Have tried connecting it back again, but once it automatically turns on and this strange screen appears it turns off.

Jul 1, 2014I updated through iTunes and it had an error at the end. ( forgot the error code). It told me to reboot which I did and now all the phone say is connect to iTunes. I connect to iTunes and the computer chimes like it was plugged in but iTunes does not read it. Everything works fine when I use my iPad, which I updated through Wifi. I have rebooted computer and phone many times. iTunes won't even launch if phone is plugged in first. Windows 8.1 up to date. iTunes 11.2.2. iPhone was 7.1.1. I didnt record the full update number/version.I gave the ok to download and install after reading the warning that it might take up to 7 minutes to complete.It has locked with the red dot "M" logo for 30 minutes.What should I do now? Sep 20, 2011So, two days ago, I retrieved my Triumph from my coat pocket and was greeted by a black crash screen with green font listing my phone's information (hardware/software version and model numbers, RF band id, productID, MEID number, ESN number, BT Address, WiFi Mac, and Battery ADC). I have no idea exactly what caused the crash. The phone would not respond to a power down, so I had to remove the battery. After subsequent attempts to reinsert the battery and power up (with varying amounts of time between power ups from two minutes to an hour), I arrive at the same error screen each time, after the big "M" splash loading screen. I've had this phone for about a week, and am still pretty unfamiliar with Motorola phones or the Android OS.

Sep 14, 2011I have an R2D2 Droid 2 that I (foolishly) flashed over to the standard Droid 2 system version, in order to run the Gingerbread build for it that came out a couple weeks ago. At the time, I was convinced that the R2 would not be getting a GB build, so I jumped the gun.
Now that the official R2 GB has been released, I would really like to get back to stock. It's kind of the whole reason I bought this phone instead of a regular Droid 2. Unfortunately, along the way I've managed to lose my stock image for the R2, and AFAIK there has never been an SBF released for the R2.
I've been trying for at least a month to come up with a solution to this problem, have scoured the internet (and noticed a lot of people that have had the same problem), and have pretty much run out of ideas at this point. I also know that rooting and flashing aren't necessarily condoned by Motorola in general, but does anyone have any other ideas on how I could get back to stock R2, Froyo or GB, at this point?

Feb 27, 2012The update has made the wi-fi next to unusable. I have removed the Wi-Fi connection and re-entered it. Power cycled the phone, done a battery pull. Nothing fixes the issue. Try running a speed test it either fails consistently with "network communication failure" or the bandwidth is horrendous. I never had such issues before the update. The issue is not only at home even at work. I was wondering if others were seeing such abysmal performance. I have NEVER rooted my phone. I wish I had and switched to community ROM, they seem to be doing a better job than a corporation like Motorola. I just wish Motorola never updated this phone, every update has caused the phones performance to deteriorate. The Droid X could have been a worthy successor to the Droid but Motorola just screwed it up. I have been a loyal motorola and verizon customer for close to 10 years now. When my contract gets done one thing is for certain I will never ever be buying another Motorola device nor will I ever recommend a Motorola device ever again.
