BB Bold :: Locked And Keyboard Won't Respond?
Jun 23, 2011So my blackberry bold is locked and the keyboard won't respond. I've tried removing the battery but when it reboots the keyboard locks up or the screen just goes black. No water damaged has occurred.

Apr 13, 2012I have a Bold 9700 with a dead keyboard. Any attempt to type either doesn't work or some random characters show up. I can't delete/press enter/anything.I have a new 9900 that I'd like to transfer the 9700's contents to. The trouble is, I can't enter the 9700's password (which I know) to unlock the 9700-with-dead-keyboard. Also - hte content is encrypted.Is there any way around this? Can I somehow enter the password via bbsak or mcp or something? Or some other tool?

Mar 14, 2011I may have hit a wrong button or series of buttons. Now I can't enter my password to unlock my Tour phone. Some of the keys such as the "S" and "H" keys, including the "del" key are not working. My numlock is not on and this is my only phone. Is it possible I accidentally changed a setting? I only have 5 password attempts left.

Before that I did not perform the upgrade for about a year.Since this last upgrade I have a problem with clock not being updated when the keyboard is locked. This only happens when the keyboard is locked automatically (because of the inactivity). If I lock it manually then the clock is normally updated.This is so frustrating that I will change the phone for sure if it's not solved very quickly with a new software update. The clock is one of the core features of the mobile phone and such a bug can get you in troubles very quickly.

Pretty much I have not been able to update any apps, but that didn't bother me too much until i recently start to lose data connection and i need to perform battery pull to reconnect - and even then I lose the data connection soon after. I have gone through password reset process but still blocking me with the message: Your account has been locked. Please try again after the lockout period has expired or call customer service.Any suggestions other than a call to technical desk. I've been researching forums and seems to be the case that lock is indefinite. Incidentally, I didn't see the option after 10 tries to enter word 'blackberry' but it was late at night and frustration had kicked in. Possibly I missed that.

Feb 7, 2012I have a 9360 with OS7 firmware. I took the SIM out of this phone to use in another one (I'm a software tester). When I returned the SIM to the 9360 and restarted it I'm presented with the forced Blackberry ID login screen.
Here's the problem, the radio has been switched off. But now I'm locked out, so I can't turn the radio on. I can put in my BB ID password all day and it doesn't matter because I don't have a connection!
How do I turn the radio on so I can get past this absurd login (btw, awesome QA on this RIM, why is the radio off while attempting a forced login? I absolutely refuse to wipe my device.

Jul 22, 2011I just got my Curve 9300. This device has an OS that is new to me, I used to have a Pearl about a year ago. I've set up my personal information to show on the lock screen so that if I ever lose my phone someone who find's it can contact me. However, when I lock the screen, it dims down / shuts off and when I press any button, I get a message saying "Keypad is locked. press the Mute...". If I don't unlock it, the screen shuts off / dims down again. So basically, I never get to see the lock screen message I've set up, it's always hidden. I didn't have this problem with my old Pearl.

Jun 30, 2012I have a blackberry curve 8530 and while I was texting today my phone kept sending the message before I pressed the send button, after a while I figured out it happened anytime i pressed on the p key. So like I usually do when I have problems with my phone, I turned it off and back on. Then when it came back on and I was asked for my password, (which contains p's) my password kept sending as soon as I hit the p and it came back as incorrect because I was unable to finish typing it. I am now locked out of my phone and don't know how to fix it.

The screen is only on when I put the phone in the charger, but my problem is also that the unlock key at the top is locked, so even when there are lights and energy in the phone I can't unlock it, and therefore I can't use it at all. I've tried pulling the battery out and in again about 3 times. I've tried taking both the battery and the sim card out. I've tried connecting my phone to the computer, which it can, but it didn't help me since the phone is still locked. I've tried resetting it by pressing ALT + CAP + Del. but that doesn't work either.
