since I switched to BlackBerry version 6, I can't the page which enables me to turn switch between wi-fi and wap, before I made the switch there was an option called something like "hotspot" or something and also the option of switching to my actual operators wap access, I've spent many frustrating hours searching for this page but still no luck.
I've paid my operator for the internet but it feels like I'm wasting my money if I can only use it via wi-fi at the moment.
I just got my s5 and during the setup, it is stuck on asking me what wifi to connect to. Well, I don't have wifi and it won't let me go past this screen. What should I do?
My xoom is stuck on 3.0.1, and will not update at all. It tells me update is available, but when I do it, it fails every time. This is a wifi only model, and I'm in Texas.
I'm optimizing my home network to get a better WIFI speed because i'm trying to use my Z3 with my PS4 and i've seen that the most of the portable devices stuck on 65MBPS. I've tested this:  - Xperia XS: 65mpbs - Xperia S: 65mbps - Xperia Z3: 65mbps - Samsung Galaxy Ace 2: 65mbps - Sony Tablet S: 65mbps - Dogee: 135Mbps - Dell Alienware PC: 270mbps - Compaq PC: 135mbps  I see that some devices can reach up to 135Mbps and faster then i think that is not a wifi problem. The cheaper phone of my home (dogee) get a better wifi speed. Are the Xperia Phones limited to 65mbps by hardware or similar?
Two days ago, all of a sudden (The phone often forgets wifi networks, I was using the Wifi password recovery & backup app, but that can't be the problem, I use it all the time), but all of a sudden, after a reboot, my wifi is turned off. I already found that to be strange, but then it became even stranger: when I tried to turn it on, it kept on 'turning it on' but never actually turned it on! (the switch is still dark gray in the 'on' fase). I tried to figure out why it was doing this, the last apps I installed were Tasker, Autovoice and secure settings, so I uninstalled them, no difference. I tried disabeling my xposed framework, no difference.
I tried wiping Cache and Dalvik cache, no difference. I accedently (swipe to wipe is dangerous!) completely wiped my phone, but still no difference. Then, using the Nexus Root Toolkit, I reverted back to stock and unrooted. Then finally, my wifi came back on . So I slowly installed everything again (stupid me had no backup) and the wifi kept working for a day.... And till now it's been off, not willing to turn on . It must be some app I installed I guess. I also tried to change kernels but again with no succes... Oh and my mac-adress is also nowhere to be found, is that normal when the wifi is turned off?
I'm new to the sony franchise and I'm very impressed with the Z2. The only problem I have is that my wifi keeps dropping on my phone and then it gets stuck at "obtaining ip address". What I've done is: reset my router, "forget" the network on my phone, reconnected the wifi. I've also rebooted my phone, this connected to the wifi successfully, but disconnects after a while again. I disabled stamina mode and all other power saving options, but nothing worked.
To turn my wifi on i use widgets, it gets stuck mainly on obtaining ip address. For it to connect quick I must go into settings to wifi for it to work. Why is this happining? I have a solid wifi connection. Is anyone else having this problem. Just to refer my knowledge to others classify me as a hacker.
I have several wifi devices (laptops / tablets) that connect without a problem to my home WPA2 secured wifi network. The photon detects this network and will connect to my home network, BUT ----Implied Profanity Removed---- there are many occassions when it will try to locate the router and try to connect but always loops with "obtaining IP address" -The only solution I have for the photon to connect is by manually rebooting or turning off/on the router, disabling photon wifi > re-enable photon wifi > select my home network and it will connectI have a static IP address for my main router connection and have assigned a DHCP range from : 192.168.31 - 192.168.254 with a lease expiry of 24 hours.
The router and my bandwidth (24mb down / 1.5mb up) has been going strong for a few years. What setting am I missing here or need to modify? I never had to reboot or reset my other wifi devices to ever connect, and I just changed the DHCP range to the above again today. I had a channel setting of "6" and changed it to "11" now also...Once the wifi is connected to the photon, it will stay connected for the most part, but if I leave the home or perhaps overnight the wifi gets disconnected resulting in me having to reboot the router, disable photon wifi, re-enable photon wifi for it to connect
So ever since yesterday I've been able to use WiFi. I was chromecasting something and while it was casting my phone went through a reboot, thought nothing of it since its happened lately. Well i think it did it a few times. Well I check my phone after my show is over and my WiFi is off., and I can't turn it on. I rooted my phone last night since it was unlocked already from when I had it rooted before. It's on Android 6.0 right now. I was getting a logcat error in reference to the wifistatemachine.
Phone reboots by itself, now that has stopped but the WiFi won't connect. Go to settings and phone stuck in WiFi turning on and the on/off slide is greyed out.
was stock 3.2 and today when i turned it on i was stuck at DC screen. Found stock img on moto dev site. Flashed stock 3.0 and that booted up fine, thought i was safe, went to do auto update to 3.1 . Download and install went fine, when it rebooted it would not boot up again. I'm back stuck at the dual.core logo
This is my second Triumph, while 1/2 of my issues were resolved because I got a replacement, the following are issues that are happening with both phones and I'm not sure if these issues will be fixed, or if there is something I can do on my end.
Phone volume - No matter what, the volume is low.... the other phone was way lower, on this one I can hear people, but its like my volume at 50% on my intercept. When the phone is being used as a phone, it sounds like the speaker is blown, on top of it being low. Speakerphone sounds ok, but still volume is low.
Bluetooth - I have tried this with 3 headsets, so its not the headset. When I connect, it will disconnect on its own sometimes reconnecting, but most of the time it doesn't. It will show the icon that it has a connection, but it doesn't (even if I turn the headset off, it still shows the icon is connected). And of course, volume, if its down to 50%, I can't hear anything.
Phone Dialer - If I try to use this to dial the phone, it sticks. So I have to press a 5, then wait for 10 seconds, then press a 2, then wait for 10 seconds, etc. Using speed dial.
WiFi - I have a strong wi-fi connection. It's a cable modem. But when I select my wi-fi, it says its connected, but I get connection errors when I try to get e-mail, go on you tube, etc. I have to restart my phone and then connect to get it to work.
I don't have much installed on the phone, and I have 893 mb remaining. I don't like my battery life getting killed, so I turn off my 3g and everything when I'm not using it and don't have apps running in the background. Battery life is lasting around 36 hours on a charge.
This is an iPhone 4S. I have stupidly inflicted this on myself. Here is the situation: I haven't synced my iPhone for several weeks. I tried to install the latest version of iOS via wifi which I have done many times before with no problem. This time I ended up with the phone stuck in recovery mode. If I connect via cable to iTunes, it tells me that I will need to use recovery and restore. I would very much like to attempt to save photos and contact updates done since the last restore.Â
I have a blackberry Curve 9300 running v5.0.0.846. The Wi-fi is always greyed out for open Wifi connections at airports, hotels, etc. I did manage to get it to turn white once but that was for a WEP-protected connection where I connected manually. Are there some settings that are incorrect? (e.g. the APN username and password is blank in TCP/IP menu).
Not picking up signal, not recieving calls, Keys not working or the roller bar. Took battery out while power was on, left it 30 mins and after that it stll wouldnt work, Tried the alt, shift and delete, still not working. What is wrong with it?
there are dozen of blackberry curve users having this same problems. but never did i see anyone giving the right solution. is this really a common problem for blackberry 8520? they dont even know how to solve this problem yet WHAT's happening!? removing the battery for 5min and putting it back again DOESNT WORK! upgrading the OS DOESNT WORK! im really getting annoyed.
It is under a year old and I've had no problems with it until last week when the 'alt' symbol started to show on the screen and stay there. With a few clicks of the alt key and waiting patiently for up to 10 minutes, the symbol would disappear.
I started to use my alt key less and less in case there was something stuck under the key.
Today I didn't even press the alt key when the 'alt' symbol appeared on the screen and I've been left with a useless phone for the majority of the day. I can't do anything with it and I can't get the 'alt' symbol to go away.
I've removed the battery, waited for a few seconds and then re-inserted the battery, but even when the phone resets, the symbol is still there. It's driving me insane.
I have tried everything, but for the last 4 hours my phone has been stuck on sos. I cannot find my network server when i manually try to select it and ive taken out my battery and sim card and restarted my device!
My BB was rebooting after installing an update of BB app world but suddenly stuck and the reboot wasn't continued...I pulled out the battery again and again but the reboot is stuck...
tried downloading upgrade to OS 7.1, but my BB 9360 stuck in backup, it doesn't work, I can't use DM either, it doesn't connect to the BB, I don't really know what to do, everything I've tried is useless. I tried an hard reset but each time it starts over the backup and it stops on 14%...
My BlackBerry Curve 8520 got wet a few days ago, it's since been left to dry out with all parts removed on top of my Virgin Media box. I checked for damage today & it appears to be working fine, apart from the fact that it's stuck in alt mode.Any suggestions on how I can get it out of alt mode? The button doesn't appear to be stuck. The 'alt' icon in the corner changes to '123' when I select the left shift button, but when deselected it changes back to alt mode.I've done a few battery pulls, removed all third party applications & re-installed its OS. To be able to type normally with letters I have to either hold down the 'return/back' button, 'X' 'V' or 'B' button, or the '$' button. Whilst holding these I can select whether I want 'alt' or not, but then it returns when I let go anyway
was in the middle of updating my blackberry and it came up with a message saying it had failed, so I unplugged my phone and from then onwards it gets stuck on the reboot screen and I cannot use my phone. All that happens is that the white bar at the bottom (the one that shows how much longer the reboot is going to be) , when it gets to the end instead of starting up my phone it just stays like it and nothing happens for a while. Then a white screen comes up and says " app error 200 "
I bought my blackberry about a month ago and one of the problems that i keep getting is that sometimes, i can't scroll up while viewing a text message. The window doesn't move past the third message (as that is all that will fit on the window) and I can't see the previous messages.
About a week ago I did a battery pull on my Curve, the phone "started up" but got stuck on the loading Bar about 70% into the process. My Desktop Manager does not recognize the phone, so unable to do a software update.
I have a BB Curve 9300. it's about 7 months old and am using OS 5. I had an application update for an application 'Economic Times'. It's a news app and was using it for a month. After the update it asked for a reboot so i clicked on reboot now. It was rebooting normally, and then it got stuck on the Welcome screen (the white screen where it just says BlackberryTM along with the blackberry logo). I tried to reboot it again but it gets stuck on the same screen. I don't know what to do. I've rebooted it many times but each time it gets stuck on that Welcome Screen.I also tried to wait it out hoping it would come but waited for half-anhour and it was still stuck.
