'welcome!
preparing device for first time use...
this may take 3 or 4 minutes...
please wait...
It spins for 30 seconds and reboots back to the welcome screen for about 30 seconds and continues to do this over and over and over again. i have tried factory resetting it...re flashing stock roms...Oj7,Ol1, OL1, and still keeps rebooting after about 30 seconds into the setup.
When i get to the wifi setup screen (no wifi available) it wont let me continue with setup without selecting a wifi network...there isnt one around so cannot continue with the setup, is there no way around this ?

I would like to conserve my data allotment by using wifi whenever I can.Â
Also, would be great to be able to talk or text over wifi rather than using up my minutes.Â
Is there a way I can set up my iPhone 4s to automatically switch when it detects a strong wifi signal?

I am wondering is there any way to active my email through WiFi? I do not know why I can not? When I go through setup wizard, it makes nothing only ask about my GPRS.

My friend is with Roger and he managed to setup his email via a wifi network, and I was wondering if this was possible for me too.
He told me to turn off my network, and have it so I'm only connected via Wifi, and then setup my email, but everytime I try, it tells me I have no network, and says I need to connect first. But since my network doesn't have an email data plan, it doesn't work.
I'd like to connect this new iPhone up to my WiFi and retain the same security (WPA2) I'm using with my other clients.

I cannot recall if my WiFi here ever worked since my network carrier here has a promo wherein I pay 50php for 1 day of internet usage. But then, I realized that we had WiFi here at home, well not always. But the main problem is, it doesn't work on my bb. It reads my WiFi router(linksys) but the WiFi icon doesn't turn white. it's always gray.
That's odd because when I'm scanning for networks and I connect, it always says "WiFi setup complete" But it doesn't show a check mark, it just shows a dash mark. I tried to look for a problem and when I go to services status, my Blackberry internet service is not connected. But I have an active profile of linksys.
I can't get a wifi connection set up on my bb curve 8520, just keeps telling me no connection found when I do a search.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using my blackberry bold for quite some time and suddenly I just can't connect to the wifi. I mean whenever I check the box for turning wifi on, it wont turn on and when I do wifi setup wizard it says "unable to turn wifi on". I did clean reload of BB OS, I even did a downgrade for BB OS, I erased all the data and set everything to default but yet no results. I am already subscribed for BIS plan, its just frustrating to watch myself upgrading and downgrading and erasing datas for the past 4 hours just for turning on the wifi....
View 3 Replies View RelatedI acquired in Hong Kong the BB Bold 9700. I was told it is not a locked phone, and that I should be able to use it where I live. Indeed, as a phone, it is not locked, and I can do all phone functionality. However the following functions are not available and I wonder how to fix it: When I try to set email accounts, it only lets me the option to set enterprise server based email accounts; it does not let me the option to set Internet based personal accounts as appear in the manual I am also unable to use the device over WIFI networks; I can register them, connect and set them, but the actual browsing over the connection is not possible.

I've paid my operator for the internet but it feels like I'm wasting my money if I can only use it via wi-fi at the moment.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm optimizing my home network to get a better WIFI speed because i'm trying to use my Z3 with my PS4 and i've seen that the most of the portable devices stuck on 65MBPS. I've tested this:
Â
- Xperia XS: 65mpbs
- Xperia S: 65mbps
- Xperia Z3: 65mbps
- Samsung Galaxy Ace 2: 65mbps
- Sony Tablet S: 65mbps
- Dogee: 135Mbps
- Dell Alienware PC: 270mbps
- Compaq PC: 135mbps
Â
I see that some devices can reach up to 135Mbps and faster then i think that is not a wifi problem. The cheaper phone of my home (dogee) get a better wifi speed. Are the Xperia Phones limited to 65mbps by hardware or similar?

View 1 Replies View RelatedTwo days ago, all of a sudden (The phone often forgets wifi networks, I was using the Wifi password recovery & backup app, but that can't be the problem, I use it all the time), but all of a sudden, after a reboot, my wifi is turned off. I already found that to be strange, but then it became even stranger: when I tried to turn it on, it kept on 'turning it on' but never actually turned it on! (the switch is still dark gray in the 'on' fase). I tried to figure out why it was doing this, the last apps I installed were Tasker, Autovoice and secure settings, so I uninstalled them, no difference. I tried disabeling my xposed framework, no difference.
I tried wiping Cache and Dalvik cache, no difference. I accedently (swipe to wipe is dangerous!) completely wiped my phone, but still no difference. Then, using the Nexus Root Toolkit, I reverted back to stock and unrooted. Then finally, my wifi came back on . So I slowly installed everything again (stupid me had no backup) and the wifi kept working for a day.... And till now it's been off, not willing to turn on . It must be some app I installed I guess. I also tried to change kernels but again with no succes... Oh and my mac-adress is also nowhere to be found, is that normal when the wifi is turned off?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the sony franchise and I'm very impressed with the Z2. The only problem I have is that my wifi keeps dropping on my phone and then it gets stuck at "obtaining ip address". What I've done is: reset my router, "forget" the network on my phone, reconnected the wifi. I've also rebooted my phone, this connected to the wifi successfully, but disconnects after a while again. I disabled stamina mode and all other power saving options, but nothing worked.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have several wifi devices (laptops / tablets) that connect without a problem to my home WPA2 secured wifi network. The photon detects this network and will connect to my home network, BUT ----Implied Profanity Removed---- there are many occassions when it will try to locate the router and try to connect but always loops with "obtaining IP address" -The only solution I have for the photon to connect is by manually rebooting or turning off/on the router, disabling photon wifi > re-enable photon wifi > select my home network and it will connectI have a static IP address for my main router connection and have assigned a DHCP range from : 192.168.31 - 192.168.254 with a lease expiry of 24 hours.
The router and my bandwidth (24mb down / 1.5mb up) has been going strong for a few years. What setting am I missing here or need to modify? I never had to reboot or reset my other wifi devices to ever connect, and I just changed the DHCP range to the above again today. I had a channel setting of "6" and changed it to "11" now also...Once the wifi is connected to the photon, it will stay connected for the most part, but if I leave the home or perhaps overnight the wifi gets disconnected resulting in me having to reboot the router, disable photon wifi, re-enable photon wifi for it to connect
I tried to update my Iphone 5 software over wifi.Â

What can I do to make it work again?
So ever since yesterday I've been able to use WiFi. I was chromecasting something and while it was casting my phone went through a reboot, thought nothing of it since its happened lately. Well i think it did it a few times. Well I check my phone after my show is over and my WiFi is off., and I can't turn it on. I rooted my phone last night since it was unlocked already from when I had it rooted before. It's on Android 6.0 right now. I was getting a logcat error in reference to the wifistatemachine.
