I have tried everything to get this to work. But the facebook app will not work on my blackberry. When selected I can only see options to see reviews, screenshoots, and featured view. No other options exist. I think its because unlike other apps, I don't have the option to run on install and therefore see and accept the terms of service page. I have tried deleted, downloading from various sources etc etc.

Is this an issue with my calendar I can alter?
I've tried to use places on fb but it doesn't give me the option. On share my location with facebook the writings grey and its not available. I've tried upgrading the fb but it says my device isn't compatible or something like that. I have a 8520 curve, everyone else i know who has the same phone and network 02 can use theirs and its frustrating that I cant use something simple on it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently reinstalled the Facebook app because my old one could not locate my place to do a check-in. The new app will only display in portrait, which limits me to using a tin keyboard (not why I went with a Storm). It also will only scroll in reverse and the touch screen is very uncooperative. No other apps are this horrible. Why can't the app display in landscape as the old one did, giving me the full keyboard and NORMAL scrolling?

Where have the rest gone and how do I get them back?
When someone is calling me the phone simply vibrates. There is no display of number and no option to receive or disconnect calls.

I have been using the HTC EVO for about a year now...I picked this phone up yesterday and I really enjoy the Photon. I have installed SPB shell for my interface because I just don't like the form and function of the UI that comes with it. Everything seems to be just great with the phone. The battery life is much better than the EVO. I have had moderate to heavy use of it today since 6:00am and after 9 hours of use I'm down to 30% of my battery life. I also have my corporate email set to push, with gtalk usage (without the video, i noticed that that issue was addressed), texting, voice calls and some internet usage.

I've noticed a few people posting on Facebook fan pages for Nokia N97 orig and mini that the NEWS FEED and WALL pages are blank, yet you can login and view other pages such as FRIENDS, PHOTOS and INBOX.When refreshing NEWS FEED and WALL, the page refreshes with no error, but does not display anything.I changed all my facebook privacy settings to defaults in case that was the problem, but no luck. Also confirmed that the NOKIA application was allowed to access information in my facebook account.

View 2 Replies View RelatedA hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
I'd really like to see some option for keeping the display on while using the Music player so that if I hear something interesting I don't necessarily have to handle the phone to find out what it is.Even if you only made this available under AC power that would be better than now.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recieved my Curve 8520 6 days ago and I am still waiting on my service provider contacting me about the Blackberry Tariff HOWEVER when setting up my phone using the Wizard Setup I did not have two options for the email setup, only Enterprise Email Activation...I have never had one, this is my first Blackberry. How do I apply the other option of Add An Email Address? Or does this mean that the phone has been used by someone else (even though it was bought from my service provider "brand new"), or a fault has arisen? What can be done?

There is no option to add any other email provider (hotmail)
I took Brand new 3g curve on 6th July 2011 with vodafone network and I am facing 2 problems. First when I go to setup wizard for email set up it shows only one option i.e. Want to use a work email account and not showing the other option. I am using Vodafone plan of 399 which covers all BB services second is when I go to main menu I am not able to find out blackberry application world icon any where and when I am downloading it, saying your device already have blackberry application wan replace it I say yes and again there is error.

But since then the only available network mode is 2G and '3G & 2G'. I don't av d 3G only option even though my OS is 7.1. And I have people around me using the same model but have the option on theirs. what can I do to change to & remain on 3G only.
