Apr 21, 2010I have had my curve for over a year now on my Orange contract. I have just been given a new Sim Card by my company. This Sim card is with Vodafone. I got my phone unlocked and the new Sim card is working fine for everything but emails. There isnt even an option to set-up the email accounts!!
I contacted Vodafone and they said that the phone had already been registered with an email server. Which it has beacause i was using it with my other Orange contract. All they could suggest was buying a new handset!! But surely that means if anyone sells their blackberry handset, the new owner wont be able to use email, this cant be right.
BB Curve 8900 :: No Reply Option On Old Emails
Feb 8, 2010I am looking for some help with one of our customer's phones. They have a Blackberry 8900 on T-Mobile and are unable to reply to certain emails. Recently, their email accounts were reset, due to a configuration error on T-Mobile's end. When we set her email accounts back up, her old emails are stored on the device in the messages folder but she is unable to reply to anything prior to the accounts getting messed up. New emails sent to her device are not a problem, those reply just fine and she is able to forward the old messages, just not reply to them.
She is running the latest device software for the 8900, I believe 4.5, we have resent service books and spoken in depth with T-Mobile's technical care department. No one seems to know how we can get this corrected so she can reply to her old emails.
BB Curve 8900 :: No Option Add Email Account
Apr 5, 2010i just became fan of blackberry. i am trying to set up the email i already have in my yahoo account. I am following the guide and i go to setup email settings. However, there is just the option of "I want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server". is there any other way to set up my yahoo account in my device?

Mar 6, 2010I've had my 8900curve a while now but I am only just connecting it to the computer and to the desktop manager. I want to sync it with my work outlook account and it works fine except it doesn't Auto Sync even though I have the option Enabled any thoughts? I can sync but I have to do it manually every time I connect the phone.

Jun 8, 2010When I sent emails, the sent mails show up in my BB 8900 "inbox". So, if I send an email to myself, both the mail (received) and the sent mail show up in the handheld "inbox". I could not find a set up option so that the send mail will not be listed in the inbox. Any idea? Thanks.
I have the following set up:
Messages > Option > General Options > Email Reconciliation > Delete on : Mailbox and handhel. Wireles Reconcile : On On Conflict: Handhel Wins
The delete works fine.

I have seen people that have their SMS inbox show contacts then when you open it, it shows the whole conversation between you and them, more like BBM. How do you change it from the regular way that shows every SMS you have to person by person?

Jan 27, 2010The first one i did went well with no problems , used 3rd party software for linking in with exchange.
the second one now thats a different story. the first one is new the second is second hand and the password and firewall is locked (small red padlock). i have tried to back step the rim and i am now reinstalling the rim from o2 but the divice is still locked. please please could some one in here point me in the correct location of a fix. password and firewall dont give you the option to disable. well lost now.

May 22, 2010I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?

Jun 29, 2010I recently purchased a blackberry 8900 and am trying to upgrade the software to the newest version (5.0 I assume). However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

Sep 14, 2012After i activated my enterprise account the contacts wont sync . I the Contacts there is no Lookup option to reply the available users.
When i activate the enterprise account using Desktop Manager the contacts are synced two ways (as there is an option on the manager) the look up option on the device is active and displays all the contacts on the server.
