BB Curve :: Add An Email Account It Only Has Corporate Option?

View 1 RepliesMy wife asked me for a Blackberry to access her work email. She works for the local school system and drives between different schools several times a day to treat disabled children. Parents sometimes email her to tell her that their kid is not going to be at a specific school at a a certain time and she ends up driving to a specific place for nothing because she couldn't access her messages. So I bought her a Bold last week tro help her with this problem.At a regular computer, she first has to log to the school's system website, then click on their link to gmail, enter an user name and finally a password. The website appear tiny on the screen and it's really slow to load. And there are some obscure security warnings in there IT people on the school system are clueless to help her.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I add my corporate account to the email app, it accepts my login information as well as the domain and server information. It takes me to the screen with the email options about push notifications and what not. I finish those settings and it takes me to my inbox. But nothing happens. Occasionally if I add it, it will say loading... with the spinning circle, but never loads. I have let it sit for hours, and it never syncs.
Now let me tell you what I have tried:
I have tried on 4G and on wireless
Adding from Accounts in Settings
Adding from the email app
Auto Sync data is on
Restrict Background Data is off
Once or twice it came up with the certificate issue and I noticed that the certificate was connected to a different website.
I have a gmail account, and msn account and a Verizon account. they are all connected and work fine all the time.
If I use an app called Cloud Magic it works, but that doesn't sync my calendar and contacts.
I think that is it. The phone is a Galaxy S5, 16GB / Verizon / Andriod 4.4.4 / Factory, not hacked or changed in anyway.
i just became fan of blackberry. i am trying to set up the email i already have in my yahoo account. I am following the guide and i go to setup email settings. However, there is just the option of "I want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server". is there any other way to set up my yahoo account in my device?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am a new owner of Photon 4g. I used to have a HTC touch. I am getting "login failed. please try again" message when I try to setup my corporate email.
1> I have tried using both domainusername and just username with no success.
2> Also have tried setting up gmail as corporate account and later changing to the desired account settings as suggested in other forums and it still shows the same error.
3> I have also tried unchecking "verify certificate"
I have a new BB working with t mobile but not with a plan only with refill and I don't know if this is a problem for to set an email account on my blackberry??, I have access to wi if in some places. If is not a problem I can tell you that I never see the option on my blackberry offer me to create an account or add an account on the BB only says in email setups this " I want to use a work email acc with a BB Enterprise Server." that is the unique option that appear on the phone. The icon for de email configuration also didn't appear.
I don't understand why this option not appear on my BB . I only want to see mi gmail acc with my BB. Thanks a lot!
I have just unlocked an ex-corportate Blackberry Curve 8520. However, in the 'Manage Connections' section, there is only the option to turn on and off my 'mobile network' and 'bluetooth'. I looked up the specs of this phone online and all of the websites claim that the phone comes with wi-fi capabilities and I assume that since this phone was released in late 2009 that it has wi-fi.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I am on vacation I do not want to think about work, so I don't want to receive corporate email. I've Googled this topic a bit, and everyone keeps saying you can turn the data connection off, but I still want internet access for Facebook, Google Maps, etc. Turning the data connection off would basically be like shutting off my internet at home, when all I have to do is close Outlook on my company laptop and not open it again until I want to receive email. Is there a way to temporarily prevent email from being downloaded to the Blackberry, while still being able to use data for other services?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just installed the newest OS for my Torch 9800 (6.0 Bundle 2647). I lost all of my passwords and email accounts. Just go to Setup, select Email Accounts and add all of my accounts back. When I go to Setup there are 2 envelope icons that say "Email Accounts" where there used to be only 1. When I click on either of them it takes me to the "Select the type of email account type:"
Here we have 2 options: Internet Mail Account or Enterprise Account. When I click on Internet Mail Account it takes me right back to Setup, so I select "Email Accounts" again, and then Internet Mail Account and again my phone goes right back to Setup. It just goes around and around in circles and never gives me the option of actually adding an email account. From setup to select type and right back to setup. I have taken the battery out to no avail.
I would like to set up email on my Torch 9800 but when I select email accounts in setup menu the next screen is enterprise activation and does not offer the regular internet email setup.

I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
Is there no easy way to remove a Corporate Sync Account? I am trying to remove the account I set up yesterday but the screen for remove account will not let me enter a username? As such, I don't even see how I can edit this current account from the phone. Is this not possible to do from the phone or do I have to do this from the company's Exchange server?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy corporate account (Exchange/Activesync server) hasn't synced since the update was installed Saturday, June 30th. It was syncing fine pre-ICS, however, post-ICS nothing. The screenshot reflects the message I receive when attempting to set up the account on the phone.
In troubleshooting, I have tried removing the account (only initially following the upgrade, account will not complete set up since) and adding it again.
Also, all other email accounts (gmail, earthlink, hotmail, yahoo) are connecting fine, only having problems with the Corporate account. Additionally, I need this to work more for the calendar sync than the email, especially since I separate my work/personal calendars via this account, Google, and personal version of Outlook.
I have a Motorola Atrix 2 and initially set up a Corporate Sync account several months ago. I had no issues with this account until last week, when my Exchange server migrated.I tried adding the new server name, but that did not fix the problem. Currently under E-mail settings, E-mail delivery, & folder sync, I would like my sent items to sync in the background as my inbox does. Every time I change it to automatically sync in the background, it reverts back to manual as soon as I leave my e-mail. Is there anyway to force this to sync in the background? Will this be corrected in the upcoming update?

The email still syncs correctly and believes I have my corporate sync account. However, in the Accounts list, the corporate sync account is missing. I attempted to set it up again and I get an error: "This account has already been added". The only thing I could think of is I had Touchdown installed prior to the update. Is there any way to purge the account without a factory reset?

I have my sync setup to keep the last 3 days. I also have a problem with forwarding e-mails w/ attachments when using the SmartForwarding feature, so I'm wondering if the issues are related.

I deleted the account, rebooted and readded the account back, however the account name now has a 1 after it (shown at the top of the email list) and the account does not show up under Settings/Accounts. Is it in a different place now? How do I get my contacts and calendar entries back? I am receiving corporate email, but not getting any notifications. Everything else on the phone appears to be working ok so far.

I also have a Google Apps account for which I only sync Google Drive, so that I have access to my Google Drive at work. However, everyone in my exchange Active Directory has a duplicate account in Google Apps.
In my google apps account settings, I have contacts and Gmail set to never sync. Sync is off. However, whenever I am typing an address in my email app for exchange, all of me Google Apps Active Directory email addresses also come up, which is problematic because they are all duplicates of the exchange email addresses, since the directories are linked.
I can't add my hotmail email to my iphone 5, it only has option to join outlook account????

My sim works in the phone fine but I am unable to set up my email as it says there is one already set up. Im no longer in contact with my colleague and not sure what to do.
