i have a blackberry curve 9300 and it's only a few months old and i dont have a recipt any more but my problem is that the scroll button is frozen and i can no longer use my phone

My blackberry is only 5 months old and things are already happening to it, it first was the scroll button it was not working at all so I tired taking out the battery for 5 mins but still nothing, now all it does is itself switches on and off and it tells me to insert my sim card when my sim card is inserted I would like 2 know what to do?

I dropped my blackberry in water but there was no damage to it, but now when I explain it to my network provider they think it's because of the water damage. I haven't got a warranty on it, so water damage isn't covered. They said for me to do a software update. I tried it and still no luck.

Normally, it's not too bad with a few attempts of taking the battery out then putting it back in, but last night, the screen went white - again - so I took the battery out and it said I had no battery though I had at least 40% on there. When I put the battery back in, and the phone began loading, the menu thing came up. I tried to click, 'unlock' and nothing happened. Seconds later, the screen went black as if the phone doesn't recognize my trackpad anymore. I am sick and tired of having a phone that doesn't work! I wouldn't be as mad if it was the first time, but the thing is, it's happened before and every time I go to the phone shop, they say 'oh, it's not our fault, we'll send it off for repair' and when I eventually get it back (2 weeks later) it works for 4 weeks, and I send it off again. I have sent the [hone of 4 times for 'repair' and each time, it takes 2 weeks; that's 8 weeks, or 2 months that I still have to pay 25 pounds in my contract for a phone that doesn't even work. That's 50 pounds wasted on the worst phone available. I got my current phone back in September (after fighting with my phone provider) and it broke in February.

Last night I was able to scroll over my icons but when I stopped at the "contact" icon and pressed it (to look up a contact), my phone froze. It seems to work on the other icons (ie. bbm, calendar, websearch, email etc) only the adress book seems to freeze my mouse. Each time it happens I have to turn the entire phone off and re-boot. It has happened at least 3 times today already!! Is there some solution I can use to maybe clean the mouse?

Today my little brother decided to enter 10 wrong password all at once and it reformatted and when it was done reformatting the terms and condition popped up and it just froze the trackpad wouldn't scroll down or anything and but everything else works.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI did an OS update from my computer and when that didn't work pushed a complete wipe and reinstall with JL_Cmder. That sorted out the WSOD issues however the trackpad will now only work as a push button and not to scroll. I sent it off to be looked at by my carrier and they said water damage but I'm 100% certain it's not having looked at the parts myself as well as having been ridiculously careful with it: basically just think they are trying to avoid a replace on warranty!
