The trackpad on my BlackBerry Curve 9300 has not worked for about 12 hours. I can't scroll or select anything with it. I tried placing a piece of tape over it but no luck.
View 1 Repliesbasically my trackpad wont scroll down. I have had this problem even when the blackberry was new. I dropped my blackberry in water but there was no damage to it, but now when I explain it to my network provider they think it's because of the water damage. I haven't got a warranty on it, so water damage isn't covered. They said for me to do a software update. I tried it and still no luck.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe trackpad on my curve 9300 keeps breaking. I cannot click or scroll at all. Normally, it's not too bad with a few attempts of taking the battery out then putting it back in, but last night, the screen went white - again - so I took the battery out and it said I had no battery though I had at least 40% on there. When I put the battery back in, and the phone began loading, the menu thing came up. I tried to click, 'unlock' and nothing happened. Seconds later, the screen went black as if the phone doesn't recognize my trackpad anymore. I am sick and tired of having a phone that doesn't work! I wouldn't be as mad if it was the first time, but the thing is, it's happened before and every time I go to the phone shop, they say 'oh, it's not our fault, we'll send it off for repair' and when I eventually get it back (2 weeks later) it works for 4 weeks, and I send it off again. I have sent the [hone of 4 times for 'repair' and each time, it takes 2 weeks; that's 8 weeks, or 2 months that I still have to pay 25 pounds in my contract for a phone that doesn't even work. That's 50 pounds wasted on the worst phone available. I got my current phone back in September (after fighting with my phone provider) and it broke in February.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAlright, so the trackpad isn't working, but at the same time it is. When I use it with my bare skin, it doesn't work, it takes many swips to do anything. But when I use it with say a piece of tape, or a cloth on the end of my fingers it works great and without a problem.
It's a used phone so swapping it is not an option, but is there some way to fix it?
my blackberry curve 9300 track pad just stopped working. i tried removing the battery and sim card, several times, to reboot the phone but it didnt work. later on i tried to re-insert my sim card, the track pad is moving up and down, left to right, but when i try using for clicking and opening sms or email for example, it couldnt possibly work.also, my email started coming in, but sms does not, it keeps on popping a message that my sim card messaging memory is full, when i no longer have sms kept because i deleted them to save space.

After a few tries or after restarting the device, it began to work properly again. Just recently the trackpad stop to work altogether. I don't know if this is hardware related or if there's just a problem with software since I saw error messages regarding "java" or something. Also, I don't know if this is related but the problems started just after I added lock protection to my phone.

I've got myself a new non BB phone, as the support from BB was pretty non existent, however i've taken loads of pics on the 9300 which are saved only on the phone itself, not the sim or card. When I plug it in to the laptop it's permanently 'stuck' on 'charge only', there's no way it seems to move it to 'sync media' or the other one! It would click but no matter what I tried it wouldn't move. I looked it up and it said it needed to be wiped, so stupidly I wiped my phone. But still, nothing. It would just click. With the 9360s its fine as if we downgrade to 7.0 the problem doesn't happen, but the 9320s come with 7.1 so there isn't an option to downgrade.
