I have had my curve 8530 for about a year and a half. I do quite a bit of texting and bbm'ing. Last night I was able to scroll over my icons but when I stopped at the "contact" icon and pressed it (to look up a contact), my phone froze. It seems to work on the other icons (ie. bbm, calendar, websearch, email etc) only the adress book seems to freeze my mouse. Each time it happens I have to turn the entire phone off and re-boot. It has happened at least 3 times today already!! Is there some solution I can use to maybe clean the mouse?
My scroll button doesn't appear to be working properly. Everytime I try and scroll up it goes down and sometimes it doesn't work at all and seems to be stuck.
My blackberry is only 5 months old and things are already happening to it, it first was the scroll button it was not working at all so I tired taking out the battery for 5 mins but still nothing, now all it does is itself switches on and off and it tells me to insert my sim card when my sim card is inserted I would like 2 know what to do?
My BlackBerry Bold 9700's scroll button isn't working properly. I have taken the battery out, and that didn't help. The film on my scroll button has peeled off partially - I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it not working properly. The scroll button does respond to my touch, but barely. It responds much better if I have a napkin or a piece of material over my finger. What could the issue be?
Every button on my phone is frozen and all i can do is scroll up and down, there is no water damage to it and all i can do is take the battery out. Its has done it twice previously but not for as long as it has this time
i have a blackberry curve 9300 and it's only a few months old and i dont have a recipt any more but my problem is that the scroll button is frozen and i can no longer use my phone
My scroll pad on by blackberry curve 8900 3g is keeps stopping working for long periods of time, i have obivously tried rebotting the device by taking out the battery when when ON and it has worked a couple of times but then it freezes again. The phone is only a couple of months old
My scroll on my blackberry 9300 has stopped working and has been like this for 3 or 4 days now. When ever i used to be outside my scroll anyway was very bad reacting to the wind!
however, RIM is not taking responsibility for fixing it. Yet another company willing to take my money for a product that they are unwilling to back. I have tried every suggestion posted to rectify the scroll issue. None of them work. I would like to get the name of the person at RIM to whom I can write a letter.
The trackpad on my BlackBerry Curve 9300 has not worked for about 12 hours. I can't scroll or select anything with it. I tried placing a piece of tape over it but no luck.
Just recently, when I go online on my BlackBerry Curve (not sure of the #, but I have a scroll button and not a trackball), I can't push the scroll button to select things. For example, I couldn't get help for the problem on my phone, because when I typed in my question, I couldn't hit the serach button to ask it!
Most links I am able to select by clicking the menu button and selecting "open link", but that doesn't work on submitting information like username/password on blogger or my bank or anything.

I did an OS update from my computer and when that didn't work pushed a complete wipe and reinstall with JL_Cmder. That sorted out the WSOD issues however the trackpad will now only work as a push button and not to scroll. I sent it off to be looked at by my carrier and they said water damage but I'm 100% certain it's not having looked at the parts myself as well as having been ridiculously careful with it: basically just think they are trying to avoid a replace on warranty!
the 'a' button has mysteriously stopped working on my keyboard which is a real hindrance. In case it was a software issue I tried to restore factory settings, but I have to enter the word 'blackberry' to do so, and I obviously can't type that!
ive had my blackberry for just over 3 days and the scrolling button has completely stopped working, i can not move left, rigt up or down, Ive tried taking the battery out whilst it is on and leaving it for a minute but this did not change a thing
My Curve 8520 's e button just stopped working, doesnt work no matter how hard you press. Sometimes will get assign speed dial to e or if i'm texting a capital E but it is completely random. Also at the same time when the screen times out it is unresponsive, the screen wont come up until you press any button many many times, found out that holding any button down will also make the screen reappear after a few seconds, also if you turn it off, the power button wont turn it back on, you have to take the battery out to get it on again, otherwise it works fine.
all the buttons have stopped working on my phone it started with a few of the not working like the n button the o button ect and the the other day all the buttons just stopped?
Your carrier: SPRINT Model info and OS version: Curve 8530 5.0 Bundle 1675 (just upgraded)
Apps and free space File free before and after a battery remove/replace. (Go to Settings, then Options, then status): 106575952 Did a battery pull fix your issue?: No Apps installed and their version if possible. (Go to Settings, then Options, then applications): None BT device model/version (you will have to look at the BT device): None Scroll pad works on and off, will not work on some menus. E key will work sometimes, usualt types an upper case E and not a lower case, will not type 2 E's in a row. Works ok when typing a 2. There were some other buttons giving issues a while ago and then it all went away and now this just started again out of nowhere. I tried backing up / wiping the phone, upgraded to the latest software and it is still giving me issues. The phone has never been exposed to any sort of moisture, I don't even use it in the rain.Another issue, possibly related, possibly not is that I get 1 vertical line and 1 horizontal line in my photos I take. This started out happening sometimes and not other times but now it is constant.
I fell in love with my 8310 when I first got it about 2 years ago. It has everything I could need. I am not a internet person but it has the memo pad for my fireman stuff, the right size buttons for texting since I have pretty large hands, and I liked the applications I had. Well my phone has taken the falls and the other day it fell face first into a rain puddle. I grabbed it up fast. The cell has dried and it still works except for the trackball and the menu button. Basically the 2 most important buttons. I took it to the store and the phones strip was still white and never turned red. They told me I am do for a upgrade. I love the 8310, its been great to me. So the question: is there a fix of the keypad I can just get off ebay or the other options were 2 cells I found. Not wanting to do the whole data plan deal and not all stoked about a 3g. The guy was trying to press the torch on me and I told him no thanks.
The cells that interest me are. 1) The 8520. I like this one cause it seems like its not far from what I had maybe a few new bells and whistles. I see it has wifi. 2) HTC Tilt 2
