View 14 Replies View Relatedi have a BB Bold 9700 V5.0.0.593 (Platform 5.1.0.147) my LOCK and MUTE button is not working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000 on the AT&T network running v5.0.0.464. I'm having a problem with the Mute button (on top). I use the button to put the device into sleep/hibernation/whatever. I have had this problem with three devices (all 9000's) and have had each replaced because I was told that it was a hardware error by the AT&T rep. However, I have done some testing on additional devices (corp. environment) and have been able to reproduce the issue, or more accurately stated, I have been able to observe the issue occurring on each device in my test group over time.Basically, when the device is new, the button works very snappy. Over time, looks like 2-3 months, the button begins to show intermittent issues and takes longer and longer being held down to activate the function (starting or sleeping). Eventually, this function has quit working on every device I've tested (out of the box devices with no apps beyond the delivered ones installed). Removing the battery repeatedly and on a regular schedule of once a week has not had an impact on the issue during testing or in Prod. Being new to supporting these devices I looked around and did some searching but haven't found a solution that has worked for our situation.

Where is the mute button to unlock my keyboard?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe only way to turn on the keypad is in the TEST of Hardware, if you go to the Next Step it turns off again. What I did was Turning on the Backlight Keypad in Test and then pressed CHANGE APLICATION (Something Like that I have it in Spanish) and then the Lights Keep up all the time. But if I go to the Music Player and I use "MUTE KEY" the Backlight Keypad turns off. (ONLY WHEN I PRESS MUTE ON THE MUSIC PLAYER)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8520. I just was searching the options page and then I believe I clicked the speed dial option. The lock keyboard option was 'a', and I clicked it and it locked the keyboard. I hadn't realized there was a lock for my keyboard (and had been searching for one). However, I can't get it unlocked. When I press the menu key, it pops up that 'keyboard is locked. Press the Mute button to unlock."
However, I don't know where the Mute button is, nor can I get it to unlock. My theme is precision zen (I believe) if that makes a difference.
how I can unlock my keyboard? how to successfully lock it in future? I guess I don't understand the speed dial aspect of the phone.
My home button isn't working anymore. It only works when I press it VERY hard but then it feels like I'm about to break it. I'm out of the 1-year warrenty as well.

I updated my blackberry 2 days ago and everything worked find, until I ran out of battery this morning. So I charged it and was able to go on internet to check my mails, BUT THEN a message popped up on my phone saying that an update has been successfully installed or something similar, and the phone just switched off itself.
Now I can't do anything with the phone, and it tells me I have no battery, but I have a battery ! How stupid is that ? It wouldn't be able to tell me I have no battery if I hadn't any battery! I can't even charged it !
This is basically the same problem as This post, with the red light showing and I have like 3 second of the progress bar and then it show the no battery logo!
I had a problem with the Power and volume button not working anymore? Did Apple repair this or we have to exchange the phone?

I have my 3 y.o. K750i here. My problem is the camera button is not working anymore. I tried taking off the casing and adjusting the button but still the same. What it does is you cannot go to autofocus then take the shot.It will just go back to the original window. Any help guys? And if I'm planning for a replacement. Can you give me suggestions? I want a simple phone like the K750i but has all the features.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi just bought the phone off of a mate knowing the problems but my g1 tottally died.so the only way i can make a call is threw a headset and also the ringtone speaker doesnt work so have to have my phone out all the time to see if i have a call/text :| when i open the camera i get "could not start the camera, close other applicaions and try oppening the camera again".
the lock and mute keys on top do not work atall and recently the volume key has stopped working. ive tried googling the problems but havent found much information on my problems. could it be the actual speaker. or the plastic midplate with the metal contacts on?im not too bothered about the camera and keys just the speakers soo i dont have to walk around with my phone in my hand with my headset in.
Every other button on my phone works apart from the Touch Button. I can't scroll, select anything! It picks it's time to work but it can go days on end without working and I cannot do nothing with my phone without that button..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Android phones so ... When having text notification sounds, on other phones I know there's a quick button to silence it let's say if it goes off and you're talking to someone. I know from reading so far the only "quick" way to do that is hold down the volume button. Is there literally no other button on the phone that you can just click to silence your notification, while having notifications have a volume. I have a hard time hearing so I tend to leave the notifications/ringtone volume on. With a lockscreen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased a blackberry curve 8530 on thursday, and have used it for one full day now. The mute button is EXTREMELY sensitive, but only from non-direct touch angles - so basically it goes into mute mode when I do not expect it. This is becoming a massive annoyance.
Is this a normal problem with these phones, or should I try to get a replacement? Will they make me go to RIM to have them send me a refurbished phone for my 1 day old brand new phone?
Does the samsung dialer not have any way to mute your microphone while on a call?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone lost all sound on Wednesday 16 May 2012 and then again this morning Friday 18 May 2012. The Mute Button was Off. I did a little research online and from what I could find out it seems to be an update issue. 5.1.1
Before doing the following I highly recommend you do an iCloud back up first. It takes 5 minutes max and then do this:
>settings>general>reset>reset all settings
This process takes about 10-15 minutes at the most.
I'm really quite irritated now because I've had to do this twice thus far and I'm expecting to have to do it again until this "bug" is worked out. Also my charging seems to have a glitch now as well. It may be an charger issue in and of itself but I really don't think so. Again I think it's the most recent update.

I constantly hit the mute button with my face during conversation. is there a way to disable it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can no longer go on the internet. I've had that capability for 2 years now on this bb (8530), OS 5, and suddenly it stopped working and asked me to sign in with my blackberry id but I can't now. I've done a security wipe, I've updated via pc with the bb desktop manager and I've reset the phone via CDMA screen (##231898). I've spoken to four live advisors at my provider's call center (Virgin Mobile) and nothing has I've tried has added back my data services. Now they say my only option is to buy a new phone as mine's out of warranty. with My phone works fine. I can receive and send texts as well as phone calls. But I can no longer set up email, go online, or go to app world but I'm still paying for unlimited data service. There's just the "hotspot browser" (for wi-fi) and I need the "internet browser"! There is just that one option now to choose from and there's no way to delete it either.
