May 29, 2012I had a problem with the Power and volume button not working anymore? Did Apple repair this or we have to exchange the phone?

Nov 29, 2014My nexus 5 after some random reboots on latest cataclysm rom started to have a problem that power and volume button were not working at all. I have done everything and even flashed it all back to stock with no luck. The power and volume buttons work perfectly in bootloader mode but dont work in recovery or in the rom.

My Lumia 920, which is also running build 10.0.10586.29, can have just the power button held down and once I swipe away the power off prompt, it works normally and stays on just like I want.I would like to use my Qi enabled car mount but it needs to push down on the power button, causing it to constantly restart.

Jul 5, 2012My buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.

Aug 4, 2015Yesterday the volume down button and power button started not working. This has happened before and usually if I turn it off and on again the problem is fixed. That's not working this time. The power button works about 2/3rds of the time and the down volume button won't work at all, it sometimes even lowers the volume by itself. Because of this problem, whenever I turn the phone off and on again it brings me to the fastboot page and puts my phone on safemode, which I can't get out of. I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, doing a factory data reset, and using recovery mode.

The best product to date i have used for tracking my gym session.I have noticed that everytime i press the power button, the volume increase and the music section starts ups. Very hard to track my gym work majority of the time as it stops the start button to work.I have updated to the latest version, no change in behaviour.Powering off is not an option as it automatically goes into bootloader mode, very hard to get it out of bootloader mode.

Apr 23, 2012my out of warranty iPhone 4 power button stopped functioning all of a sudden and it also no longer made that "click" when pressed. What did I do?I decided to open up the phone and tried to do this, (at 4:30 is what I did)[URL]It basically shows a guy who bonded a very very small washer to the bottom of the power button. I tried this and it didn't work, probably because my washer was a was too big, i filed it down a bit, still didn't work, so I just put it back together, i noticed a few things:After Reassembly, this happened: power button still does not work, and doesn't "click"iPhone camera app shutter does not open and the bottom right "camera/video" icons just flicker, I've concluded this is because of the front camera not working.the ear speaker for phone calls is now "crackly".I noticed my WiFi and network signal isn't as strong, maybe a bar less on WiFi and a bar or 2 less on network.
Temporary solutions:A walk around camera fix is that i installed "camera plus pro" and this allows me to take photos and video. If I switch to the front camera it freezes, again confirming the front camera is not working.What should I do next?So I obviously did something when i took my phone apart and put it back together. Mar 27, 2012I am pretty sure that after my up grade to 5.1, my volume + button stopped working. I think this is a software problem, because I can temporarily fix the issue by re-setting the network settings. However the fix is short lived, because as soon as I connect to a wifi network, the volume + button stops working again.
