IPhone :: Home Button And Side Button For Volume Control Both Are Not Working Properly
Jul 5, 2012My buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.

Motorola Xoom Unlocked :: Volume And Hold Button Are Not Working Properly
Dec 3, 2011I purchased my Xoom a month ago and haven't had any problems except when i turn it off it ma or may not start again so i leave it on all the time. I hold the on button and volume high button on for three to five seconds . sometimes this works and som times it don't. If i hold the two buttons for longer a message appears about start protocolect. I have no idea what this means.

May 23, 2012have had my iphone for almost 1 and a half years, and about 8 months ago my home button started wrecking; i would press it and it would either not open the iphone (take it off sleep mode to show lock screen) or the button would get stuck in and would start the voice control.. then about one week ago my vibrate button wasnt vibrating, even when i got a call or message or alarm... around one year ago, my camera started wrecking; like i would go into it and it would be blurry, and over the past year it has been getting worse and worse, and now i cant use my back camera at all.

IPhone :: Home Button Not Working Properly On 4S
May 11, 2012I have an iphone 4s one month ago. Sometimes when I press the home button when the phone is locked, the screen lights on for a second and after that, the screen gets off again and the phone continues locked. I have to press again the home button, so the phone show me the control to unlock it. Is this normal or this is the sign that my phone should be repaired before it gets in a worse state? Have other user observed this behavior in the 4s iphone?

Jun 23, 2014So today out of no were siri started appearing by itself several times and then the home button was not responding. There are some times when I push it and siri comes up other times nothing happens, it isnt stuck or anything and fingerprint id is still working it i've tried restarting,but it didnt work now i'm updating it to the 7.1.1 version to see if it resets or something.

Mar 27, 2012I am pretty sure that after my up grade to 5.1, my volume + button stopped working. I think this is a software problem, because I can temporarily fix the issue by re-setting the network settings. However the fix is short lived, because as soon as I connect to a wifi network, the volume + button stops working again.

Aug 5, 2015I honestly love the phone. I think it'd a great change to having used the LG G4 and past Galaxy phones.I have this issue though and I'm not sure if it's a big issue or if it's common. Sometimes when I press the power button the screen doesn't wake up until I press the power button a second time. Almost as if it didn't recognize the first press and did the second. It's only happened about 2-3 times in the last 2 days I've had it. I don't know if it's that I am not pushing the button hard enough or if this is a common issue? I thought I had seen something about this somewhere else but I can't find that post/article anymore. Should I get the device replaced? I am on T-mobile BTW.

Apr 21, 2014When you are playing a song on the factory installed Google Play Music app or any other app with an equalizer or when using a separate equalizer and you increase any of the bands in the equalizer, the overall volume of the song drops.
To easily reproduce the problem, start playing a song on the Google Play Music app, go to settings, select equalizer, select advanced. Set the equalizer bands to flat (in the middle settings for all bands). While a song is playing, raise any equalizer band and the overall volume of the song goes down dramatically, like by half. This is especially noticeable as you increase the 16k slider. This is not how equalizers should work. A working equalizer should amplify the band you increased but leave the volume on all other bands the same and thus not lower the overall volume of the song. This is happening with all equalizer apps I've installed (besides the stock Music FX and SoundAlive equalizers) and I've seen the exact thing happen with three other equalizer apps on this phone, so it seems like a specific Samsung Galaxy S5 problem.

If you put your finger on the button, you can wiggle it (move it) up or down or side to side.It is not in any danger of breaking off or falling off as I looked at a pic of a droid dissembled and it shows that the button has little tabs on each end like the home button of an iPhone. But it is still very annoying. Is this normal on the Moto Milestone/Droid? or a sign of a future problem. The button works as it should but feels loose.
2. SMS: I bought the Telus version of the Milestone and I have configured it for AT&T and can browse on the internet with 3G, Edge and wifi but I cannot get or send text messages. I seriously, 100% and completely agree with you. I really believe in the touch screen. I love it for everything I do on there. I don't think physical keyboards are easier like some people keep crowing, but GOD, the on-screen camera button is SO EFFING TERRIBLE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! It makes it so awkward to hold the phone and push the button. There is a level of deep-rooted frustration that pops up when using any piece of technology other than my iphone. The only time that frustrated feeling takes over with the iphone is when I have to use that on-screen button to take a picture. It's a pain in the ass, taking multiple pictures sucks, taking pictures quickly sucks, being unaware of my surrounding while i'm concentrating on threading the needle that is making sure i hit the button correctly sucks. It takes the fun out of photography, it takes the spontaneity away and negates the whole advantage of having a camera with you at all times.
Please somebody beg, borrow, or kidnap steve into making the Perfectly positioned to be a shutter button in a comfortable and funny way that just works. Volume button into a camera shutter / video start stop button when the camera button is open.or at least give me the option. I did some looking and the Camera Zoom 2 app has this as an option. Anybody know of any others? I don't like being stuck using a 3rd party camera app as I'd rather use the one that apple designed to work best with their camera. Maybe I'm just paranoid about other camera apps taking longer, and taking worse pictures, but I really want apple to make this an option.
