My volume button broke! I can increase the volume of my music but i cant decrease it! What can I do?PS I listen to music a lot so i need the button to work?
View 1 RepliesI just noticed this today that when I'm playing a song on my phone, the volume buttons act as the media player as well switching to the next song. I would often try to increase or decrease the volume, and I realize I can't. I tried a battery pull hoping that would solve the issue. It's frustrating how a person can't hear music at all, and having no use of the volume buttons. I am still under my 30 day warranty, I'm considering taking it back and exchanging for a new one.

When I insert the BB Torch into my belt holder and then try to increase the music volume it actually works. I tried calling customer support at AT&T and was told that I need to take my phone to the nearest AT&T store and have the BB software upgraded. Is there a fix for this issue? I am becoming frustrated with my purchase to the newest,"best" blackberry that RIM has ever sold. My opinion is that the device has fallen short of everyone's expectations and the lack of technical support leaves me feeling that RIM does not feel that they need to be held accountable for taking people's money for a product that fails to perform as they advertised. The product that I purchased fails to do all the things that I was believed it would do when I purchased it.

The best product to date i have used for tracking my gym session.I have noticed that everytime i press the power button, the volume increase and the music section starts ups. Very hard to track my gym work majority of the time as it stops the start button to work.I have updated to the latest version, no change in behaviour.Powering off is not an option as it automatically goes into bootloader mode, very hard to get it out of bootloader mode.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC one m8 two months ago and I've been using it very frequently. When I use it I see the volume bar increasing to max randomly. It's extremely annoying since I wear headphones. I tried some things out and found out that when ever I touch the volume up button slightly it raises the volume. You can feel the click of a button on any volume button that indicates that you are pressing it. I don't even push it to feel that. It's a light touch and it goes way up. My lower volume button is fine and it doesn't increase until I push past that click. What's going on? I've heard of loose volume buttons mine are firm and don't rattle.

For example, I open up media player, put on an mp3, but it is too low to be able to hear so I click the volume button to increase it but it just does nothing. I have threw my Blackberry once or twice in frustration since I got it for Christmas. I imagine this might have something to do with the fault but I don't know for sure.

View 9 Replies View Relateda while back my xperia mini started with this annoying (and weird ) habit to slowly decrease the volume on the left speaker when playing music. It starts out as normal balance but after a few songs the left is starting to go down to a very low level. Not muting it completely though. It doesn't replug the headphones or even restart the phone. When I give up and leave it for a while it returns to normal though...for a while. Do you think it's hardware or software based? Since it takes a while for the volume to go down I feel it can be difficult for a support to properly analyze it. I'm running stock android 2.1-update1. I've tried different music players but it stays the same.

I have updared my 5800 from v2.1 to v5.0 now i have a problem with music player that i can't raise or low the volume from the volume keys when i press these keys nothing happen but these keys are working to zoom in and zoom out in camera ! and when i open music player it searches for music and podcasts and this search never end and when i go back to home screen music player still have the old view.

Issue: After upgrading to version 4.6.0.282 the ring tone volume is very low, even when the profile setting has the tone set to High I often miss the call, I have tried turning on "Audio Boost" with no change, tried a hard re-boot, no change. Volume of calls are fine, it's the ring tones, I have the same ring tone in use as before the O/S upgrade so this hasn't changed, no other (new) apps have been installed, just the O/S upgraded. I can't find any sort of master volume control setting in any of the forums is there such a setting, how do I get the volumes back to normal?
the volume up button of my new Bold 9900 does not work anymore. I got the device 5 weeks ago (and its the fifth device for the last year ...). The irony is that this is supposed to be the replacement for my 4th broke Bold 9780. I really start to regret the switch from Apple to Blackberry. The products are good as long as they work - let me correct - IF they work. And the replacement process takes ages.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAt certain times, for example at the gym or a crowded bus, where there are a lot of loud sounds around you, the maximum media volume is not enough for me. I used to have Note 2 with the same problem, but I just rooted it and modified sound config file, but I really want to avoid rooting S6, since its a superior phone and i dont need any benefits root might offer.
So is there a way to increase maximum heaphone volume, without rooting your phone? I am using medium-range sony earbuds, hated the new Apple like S6 stock ones (by the way, what do you think of them?), and atm I dont have spare cash for a new model, so replacing the earbuds is out of the question. If not, what is the least-system-modifying root and sound mod? I want to stay as close to stock as possible.
Any way to increase this? I even downloaded new alerts, but the phone won't use them. Or I can't figure out how to make the phone use them.
