At certain times, for example at the gym or a crowded bus, where there are a lot of loud sounds around you, the maximum media volume is not enough for me. I used to have Note 2 with the same problem, but I just rooted it and modified sound config file, but I really want to avoid rooting S6, since its a superior phone and i dont need any benefits root might offer.
So is there a way to increase maximum heaphone volume, without rooting your phone? I am using medium-range sony earbuds, hated the new Apple like S6 stock ones (by the way, what do you think of them?), and atm I dont have spare cash for a new model, so replacing the earbuds is out of the question. If not, what is the least-system-modifying root and sound mod? I want to stay as close to stock as possible.

I just noticed this today that when I'm playing a song on my phone, the volume buttons act as the media player as well switching to the next song. I would often try to increase or decrease the volume, and I realize I can't. I tried a battery pull hoping that would solve the issue. It's frustrating how a person can't hear music at all, and having no use of the volume buttons. I am still under my 30 day warranty, I'm considering taking it back and exchanging for a new one.
I got my HTC one m8 two months ago and I've been using it very frequently. When I use it I see the volume bar increasing to max randomly. It's extremely annoying since I wear headphones. I tried some things out and found out that when ever I touch the volume up button slightly it raises the volume. You can feel the click of a button on any volume button that indicates that you are pressing it. I don't even push it to feel that. It's a light touch and it goes way up. My lower volume button is fine and it doesn't increase until I push past that click. What's going on? I've heard of loose volume buttons mine are firm and don't rattle.

How can I increase the ringing volume on my blackberry smartphone 8320? The manuals says to go to options-general options - etc. But there is no general options. I miss calls because I can almost not hear the phone ringing.
The volume on my new Nokia Lumia 920 will randomly go very low. So far this only happens when the phone has no need to make any sounds for a long period such as playing music or videos. It goes to like volume of 1/30, but increasing it to 30/30 does nothing to increase it. only putting it to 0/30 mutes as normal but still doesn't go past 1. I have had to restart my phone several times in order to temporarily fix this issue. My phone is completely up to date with the software.
My Cliq recently stop functioning correctly as a phone. I can make and take calls, but only if I use the head phones or put the phone on speaker phone. I have read on other forums that this is somewhat of a regular problem with lots of different phones, but none have a real solution. I have tried all of the usual remedies as far as shutting down/battery pull/system reset etc.

I got w830i with the increase volume key stuck. Cant press increase vol, but the decrease vol button is OK. I'm wondering anything i can do to increase the volume except having my w830i repaired?
The increase (top one) volume button on the side of the phone does not work. The decrease volume button work fine. For example, I open up media player, put on an mp3, but it is too low to be able to hear so I click the volume button to increase it but it just does nothing. I have threw my Blackberry once or twice in frustration since I got it for Christmas. I imagine this might have something to do with the fault but I don't know for sure.
When I try to increase the volume of the music by pressing the volume button it changes my song selection. When I insert the BB Torch into my belt holder and then try to increase the music volume it actually works. I tried calling customer support at AT&T and was told that I need to take my phone to the nearest AT&T store and have the BB software upgraded. Is there a fix for this issue? My opinion is that the device has fallen short of everyone's expectations and the lack of technical support leaves me feeling that RIM does not feel that they need to be held accountable for taking people's money for a product that fails to perform as they advertised. I upgraded a few days ago to the Razr from the X2. I noticed that the boot animation sound volume is so low I can barely hear it. Is this normal? Is there any way to increase the volume of the boot animation sound?
