I just got this Blackberry 8330 a month ago and am having problems. Two days ago, every time I tried to use it, it gives me this loading hourglass icon and it takes forever to get to the task. It acts like dial up internet. Even making a simple call takes forever. What can I do. It also sucks up charge. If I completely charge it up at night, it may hold charge until about 5:00 pm that same day.

I've taken out the battery and I've tried letting it finish loading after taking the battery out. Well after letting it sit for 2 hours with this loading screen up it still hasn't done anything. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a BB curve 8320, version 4.5.0.81.I have visited Tmobile, they replaced the SIMM card.I have a 4gb memory card, yet my phone is constantly in the "spinning hour glass mode" and unable to use.I thougth perhaps it was something to do with service in the Austin TX area, but it happened the entire week I was in Colorado and California.This makes the phone useless--what to do?The only solution I have found is to remove and reinsert the battery but this is a pain and soemtimes it does not work.My phone is spinnign right now. And yes, I do a quickpull on it nightly as suggested by T mobile.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
I live in Canada and when I cross oever to the United States i need to shut down my provider in order not to pay fees for roaming I`ve done this often in the past without any problems until yesterday.ver since i turned it back on, the hourglass icon pops up every few seconds which is extremely annoying My BB is only 18 months old but must say I seriously think i have a lemon. I`ve always had odd problems with it.Problems none of my friends have with theirs.This is really making me think of swithcing to Apple Does anyone else have this latest problem with their Torch 9800
View 3 Replies View RelatedHad quite a few issues after upgrading my BB to OS4.5, just when I thought everything is working correctly, the Memo Pad icon disappeared. It is neither hidden nor in any folder, I checked everywhere. The funny thing is, it is still syncing with Lotus Notes, so it's hidden somewhere. Wiped BB clean twice, and it will be back; however, once I installed the third party applications, WorldMate, Google Map, and CallingCardDialer, the Memo Pad disappeared again. I could do a Search and find the memo, but just can't find the icon.

My husband has the 8350 and he is notified under "messages" on his start screen that he has voice mail. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I'd really like to set it up like my husbands phone, but I would surely settle for an icon on my screen.

This morning...my usual mailbox icon (the world globe with the little envelope)...was gone...and replaced by a tiny orange collored envelope with a larger "invisible" envelope behind it (only visible when the cursor is rolled over to the icon).Any ideas on how to put it back the way it was? Ok I went to delete an app I had saved in my download folder but accidentally erased the actual folder. All of my apps were still there but not in a folder. I created a new folder but would like to have the original folder with the download icon on it. Does anyone know how do I get that or even what I am going through?

It shows up in the top right hand corner of the screen and looks like the service signal bar graph only reversed w/ the larger bars on the left and getting smaller moving right. They also have a white plus sign at the top of each blue bar, background is a black box. Anybody have any idea what this is for and why it only recently came about?

I've had two Blackberry, but I'm new to the community. I traded my Pearl for the Curve 8330 a couple of days ago. The new message icon is constantly showing up. It started with three, then four, and now six. I have read several forums and have tried pulling my battery several times. I have even deleted my e-mail account and set it up again. I have gone into all my folders to see if there is a message hiding somewhere. I can't find anything. Has anyone else had this problem? Aside from doing a factory restore and/or calling Verizon does anyone have any suggestions on how I can reset the counter? By the way, my carrier is Verizon!

I am no longer using one of them, so I deleted it using the email account setup application on the device, as well as going online to my Sprint BlackBerry account and deleting it there. The icon is still appearing on my device, and for some reason, is now the default account for sending emails. Since the account has, in fact, been deleted, emails don't actually go through from this account. It's a huge pain to keep remembering to change the account I send emails from. On a side note - I have also changed my settings to use a different account as my default account - it doesn't make a difference. The settings are right when I check them, but when I test them, the old (deleted) account is still the default. What am I missing?? How can I get rid of this account once and for all? I really don't want to wipe my device and start over...

View 5 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to see a combined list of my emails, SMS texts, missed phone calls, voicemails and just about anything else when I opened the Message folder icon on my Blackberry Curve 8330 desktop, but now when I open it, all I get is a blank white screen. When I hit the menu button, the menu pops up without a problem and if I click the track ball, it will open a message, but I can't see the list itself.Also, when I go to view folder I can access any of the individual folders and they come up just fine. The only problem is the combined message list you're supposed to get when you open up the icon on the desktop (or application menu).

My BlackBerry Curve 8330 is only a month old. For some reason, no matter what application I am in, or what I am trying to do, my phone will lockup all the time. I get the hourglass and cannot do anything for ten minutes or more, sometimes it never goes away; When I want to use my phone I have to do a battery pull, and I'm talking 10+ battery pulls a day, literally.I don't have very many apps installed, all my media is on the memory card, and I always close every app as soon as I am done with it. What could be the culprit?

It goes off and when I press the power button, the red light comes one, the backlit screen with the hourglass comes on and then it goes off again. View 9 Replies View RelatedI went to an adult site by accidnet and a pop up appeared. It was blacked out and I exited. Then when I went to facebook the loading icon just kept on spinning. It doesn't stop and it keeps coming back. I went to general settings and deleted my cache, history and cookies but that didn't work. I also tried restarting my phone but nothing. When I go to other web sites its ok but the only site its happening to is Facebook, the app itself is ok. What could be causing this?

Facebook for example even the appstore, when I open them I just get a 'loading' icon and nothing else. Do I have to restore my phone to it's original settings? View 2 Replies View RelatedI recieved my Curve 8520 6 days ago and I am still waiting on my service provider contacting me about the Blackberry Tariff HOWEVER when setting up my phone using the Wizard Setup I did not have two options for the email setup, only Enterprise Email Activation...I have never had one, this is my first Blackberry. How do I apply the other option of Add An Email Address? Or does this mean that the phone has been used by someone else (even though it was bought from my service provider "brand new"), or a fault has arisen? What can be done?
