My phone has recently developed a problem where some of the apps won't open or run properly. Facebook for example even the appstore, when I open them I just get a 'loading' icon and nothing else. Do I have to restore my phone to it's original settings? I really don't want to lose all my text messages etc.

I'm still new to Windows Phone and wondering if there's a way to open an App instead of a web page when clicking no a link.
For example, if I'm reading a Twitter feed and someone links to an Instagram photo, the link opens up in Explorer, not the Instagram App. Anyway to change this?
I went to an adult site by accidnet and a pop up appeared. It was blacked out and I exited. Then when I went to facebook the loading icon just kept on spinning. It doesn't stop and it keeps coming back. I went to general settings and deleted my cache, history and cookies but that didn't work. I also tried restarting my phone but nothing. When I go to other web sites its ok but the only site its happening to is Facebook, the app itself is ok. What could be causing this?

1st problem: I moved from german to sweden recently, and now whenever I get messages from my german friends and a notification comes at the top of the screen, i click on it and it goes to a new message instead of opening the conversation.Â
2nd problem: I also have to save my friends' numbers twice under mobil and iphone once with 0 and once with +49 because otherwise it just shows their number instead of the name i have saved in my phone.
my iphone 4 will load apps such as viber and what's app but when I try to open safari or news apps it says there's no internet connection. Restoring factory settings didn't work and I have full use of the internet when connected to wifi. My phone is also up to date with the latest software and carrier settings.

It is out of character for my iPhone to load apps & type slowly. iMessage crashes often & changing from app to app crashes the iPhone regularly. Is this issue common? I've updated to new versions, and when I plug into my CPU it doesn't reccommend a restore. I'm considering a trip to the Apple Store.

The background feature single-handedly killed every other smart phone on the market. I realize other phones can run apps in the background, but Apple did it properly.
To see one app roll off screen to the left as another quickly rolls on from the right is just simply pleasing to watch. App switching on the 3GS is hitch free, I'm excited to see how well my iPhone 4 will do with twice the RAM.
The loading icon never hide, I can still using the phone, but the icon always shows on top of everything.

Two days ago, every time I tried to use it, it gives me this loading hourglass icon and it takes forever to get to the task. It acts like dial up internet. Even making a simple call takes forever. What can I do. It also sucks up charge. If I completely charge it up at night, it may hold charge until about 5:00 pm that same day.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?

However, it still doesn't work. I have the same problem for many times and the only way to resolve it is to restore it using iTunes.

I have downloaded games to my new Iphone 4S 8 and when I try to open them, they won't open. I believe that this began when I downloaded I-tunes, moved my music from my computer over by using genius. After this is where I believe my problem may have began, my husband offered for me to load music from his I-pad to my computer and add it to the music that I had loaded to my i-tunes. From this time on my games will not open when I try to open them, and all of his apps have been added to my iphone. It appears that HIS apps will open on my phone, but mine won't.

All downloaded apps do not open. When I click the app to open, the app flickers and then returns to the home screen. I reset my settings, no luck. However, after I download a new app, re-authenticate my password, the other apps work. I just don't want to re-authenticate every time i open the app.

When I click on the app, it looks like it's going to open but then quickly goes back to the screen. I've tried turning off my phone, restarting it, and resyncing the apps on iTunes (where you check and uncheck the apps). Because I downloaded most of my apps on my phone, not the computer, the checking on iTunes only fixed the apps I bought on iTunes. I'm currently downloading the new update, 5.1.1, but still have 2 hours left. How can I fix the apps I bought on my phone?

I have restarted the iPad many times. I have restored the iPad, both from a backup and as a new iPad twice each. I have downloaded a bunch of free new apps or reinstalled old ones from the App Store directly. All of my apps are updated of course, and work fine on my 4S. They will not work on my brand new iPad. The apps that I have loaded from the App Store, so not the ones as part of iOS 5.1.1, have not worked since the first time I booted up and synced the iPad.
