BB Torch :: Length Of Ring Before Divert To Answer Phone?
Jun 22, 2011My Torch 9800 only rings about three times before diverting to the Orange answer phone - I need longer ( especially when trying to get it out of my jeans pocket ! ).
First Orange said there was an option on the answering service - no there isn't. Then they said dial in **61*my mobile number*11*20# then press the call button - no again just an error saying "supplementary service error. Unexpected data value."

BB Bold 9000 :: Is Possible To Temporarily Switch To Silent Mode?
Jul 6, 2010I had the option to switch my phone to silent for a period of time of my choice. After that the phone would switch back to normal. The benefit of this was that I could never forget to switch back to normal. For example at the beginning of a meeting with an estimated duration of 2 hours, I would program the phone to a 2 hours silent period and after that it would switch back to normal. This was so handy. Is that possible at my BlackBerry 9000?

Aug 1, 2014Im on an HTC ONE with Sprint and I am getting pretty annoyed with incoming text messages freezing up my phone and taking me out of the app I'm currently in.If I am typing an email in the Yahoo Mail app and I receive an incoming text message, the phone shutters/freezes and takes me out of the Yahoo Mail app and to a home app screen. And of course the email doesn't same to a draft for some reason. Incoming text messages pauses pretty much anything Im doing the phone: Skyping, Google Hangout, Big Fish Casino, sending a different text message, etc.

Jan 14, 2011today my friend phoned me and i answered but i could not hear them at all, so i thought it was due to signal loss. i hung up and phoned them, but once again i couldn't hear them.they could hear me perfectly.i received another phonecall today and the exact same thing happened.to try and see what was wrong i tried calling my voicemail to see if i could hear it and nothing.also, i can play music and ringtones perfectly and my alarm goes off as normal. and also i can hear them via speakerphone or headset.i've tried 4 battery pulls and they haven't worked.i am very worried about this as i am receiving a phonecall this week regarding an important career offer.i have a Blackberry Bold 9700, on carrier O2 UK with OS 6 software.

Jan 24, 2010my BB 9700 will only make/recieve calls with a headset attached. When I remove the headset during a call or before, the phone starts flipping between Headset and phone. I can't make or answer any phone calls with just the phone. My speakers work fine with music or other apps. It's just making or answering a phone call that makes the phone switch between headset back & forth. Does anyone know how to fix this or possibly why it happened? Is anyone having this same problem?

Jun 24, 2010I use the Phone Calls Only profile when I go to bed (I figure if it's important someone will call me, I don't want texts, facebook and emails waking me up).I used this profile on the Tour and it worked great.Just tried it last night on the bold and BBMs and emails were not silent, however, my sound settings are all identical to what they were on my tour. My understanding is the profile Phone Calls Only overrides any settings you have, and only makes noise if the phone rings. This was not the case.Is my phone defective, is do I need to do something else to set this up on my Bold?

Aug 19, 2012I was issued a phone from my job. As of today my phone currently is not sending/receiving phone calls and i cannot check the voicemail. To make it a bit more clear, i have no phone icon nor voicemail icon. if i use the keyboard to input a number and dial it, it does nothing. if i try to call through contacts my phone freezes. I cannot get into the ringtone options either.This is the third time this has happened to me within the last 2 months. The first time it happened they couldnt help fix the issue and i had to send the phone in for a replacement. last time I called up and they walked through getting the phone totally reset.
So now that it has happened again i have decided to get on the forums and explain the issue and hopefully they can figure out if this is a glitch in the phone, known issue or whatever.. My Blackberry is not my main phone, i have a personal phone i use all the time for entertainment and chatting. This weekend i did not charge my blackberry due to lack of not using it. i also didnt charge it when i was on vacation a while back and this had happened to me as well. Here is the only thing i do every time which may or may not be the cause..i forget to charge the phone. the phone drains the battery enough to shut itself off. when i find out its dead, i plug it in to charge it. a small battery icon appears with a electric bolt through it. i leave it be for about 10 seconds and i want the phone to come to see if i have any missed calls so i press and hold the power button a few seconds. the phone boots up and viola. no phone icon to be found. IMO, this should not normally bring up any issue but this is exactly what has happened all three times. As i said earlier, this is my second phone that has had the same problem. I rarely ever use this phone except to do company business so i am not downloading any apps or games. i use the company phone about 17 minutes a month and check my outlook sync'd calander and emails.

I've gone through the profile settings and alerts menus, and they all have vibrate set to OFF under the Silent profile. Battery pull has no effect. Anything else I should try?

May 6, 2012About a week or so ago, the handset stopped working on phone calls on my Verizon 9930. I would have to put the phone on speaker in order to hear the person on the other end. I just updated to the latest OS that was released yesterday (7.1.0.580) and the problem is still there. Can't remember what triggered the handset to stop working, as I didn't do anything different to the phone, or drop it, etc. I should add whether receiving or making the call, it doesn't work either way. Also I've tried soft pulls (alt + upper case + del) but not a battery pull. Figured the OS update worked the same as a battery pull.

Apr 3, 2010All of a sudden today my 9700 can't make phone calls. It lets me dial and connect but there's something going on which makes the sound cut out like every half-second. The one thing I installed today was a program called GPS Track (http://widgety.biz/GPStrack/) for collecting the GPS info and uploading it to TrailGuru.com. The problem started shortly after I used the program the first time, so I suspect it has something to do with it.I deleted the application, but that didn't help. I've tried a battery pull several times, I downgraded the OS from 5.0.0.463 to 5.0.0.296. Nothing seems to help. Right now I'm upgrading the software to 5.0.0.645, but I don't have great hope. Anyone have an idea?

Apr 2, 2010I am having a lot of problems trying to get my blackberry to function properly. Yesterday, I was going for a walk and decided to plug in my headphones into my blackberry and listen to some music. It worked really well until I pulled the headphone jack out and now when I make a phone call, the phone switches from headset to handset over and over again. I have tried resetting it, pulling the battery, etc. but nothing has worked. How can I get this to work properly?

Sep 10, 2010I have only had it a month and everything was fine until a few days ago.I think im going to go mental on this phone becasue its really annoying me.Quite often when attempting to make a phone call the message 'no circuit/channel available' will come up and i cannot make or receive phone-calls.After looking at various other threads i found that this is usually a problem with people on the vodafone network (which i am not on) and is something to do with 3G. Now, having read other threads, turning 3G off and using only 2G solves the problem, but then, what is the point of having 3G if you cannot use it, right? I also dont have the problem in my house as i use wi-fi to connect to my wireless router and boost the signal.

Jul 16, 2010Never had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.

Feb 10, 2010I live in Downtown Los Angeles, so reception isn't a problem. I usually always get full bars. However, when talking on long phone calls 20+ minutes with full bars, my phone will just cut off and say call failed. Then I have no reception, then it just comes back.
Is this a iPhone issue or a ATT issue? I have an odd suspicion it's my phone because it occurs so frequently, but Ive had difficulty asking the apple bar to replace my phone just because of reception issues.
