Today I played with speed dialing and accidently set my own number as the mailbox number(assigned speed dialing No. 1) and I can't seem to find any way to correct this(to chnage the assigned number). Can anybody suggest to me how to change the assigned speed dialing number For specifically No 1?And I also noticed something strange that everytime I call anybody on my list after dialling window message it is always followed with Active divert alert message window.I never noticed this before.how do I get rid of this annoying divert alert message eevrytime I call anybody else when there's no diverting that took place.Salvation entails eternal power which will make every tyrant weep.

I have an E71, this is my first Nokia cellphone. I'm learning now how it works. I always had Sony Ericsson. Well, this is my question:Why when I'm calling appear in the display "Divert call"? Everything is going well, i can phone normally, I just want to know what's that means.
I have a N73, I have a mail account on Google. I created a mailbox in my phone, configured it with all settings. I enabled Automatic email retrieval and the interval time was 2 hrs. All worked fine. I got the notification in first run. I noticed that my packet data connection was active for whole day, in result phone battery was consumed too early.
I just want to know these two things:
1. Why the packet data connection is active all time? Cant it active only on the retrieval hours. Not in the idle position? 2. Why the email alert notifications has just stopped showing NEW EMAIL
I am just missing my important mails due to this problem of notification.
I cant play saved videos that I downloaded from the internet. The only thing that works is to turn the phone off and then pull the battery for a few seconds. I'd rather not have to do this all the time.
I have a Bold 9900. Of late, I have had a problem wherein I am unable to hear the phone's ring. The phone vibrates and I can see a call coming in. When I answer the call, I cant hear the person at the other end of the line, nor can the other person hear me. If I try ringing someone, I cant hear their phone ringing, but I get the message that we are connected, but cant have any conversation. When I do a full power off and restart, its all back to normal.
In my new BB 9700, I get this when I try to play a Video from You Tube (Cannot Play Media while alert is active). Then I get an error message about not finding the web address. Anyone knows how to fix this and to play videos from you tube please?
I bought a Verizon Bold 9650 in June when they first came out. About 3 weeks after I received my blackberry, I started having some alarm issues. The issues are:
1) The alarm goes off, but no sound nor vibration is produced (it only shows the Snooze/Dismiss Dialogue) 2) Occasionally, it will start sounding off and vibrating 5 minutes after the alarm is scheduled to go off. 3) The same symptoms from #2 apply when i press "snooze".....
I have the latest software and have repeatedly reformatted the memory cards and wiped the device. Another issue I have been having is that when I try to play music it will sometimes say "Cannot play music while alert is active". I can get around this by opening and closing the camera, but I was hoping there is a more permanent fix.
I'm having an issue with custom alerts that are set with some people and the active profile setting. here's what's going on...i have custom ringers on a few family members and since some of the ringers are low in volume, i set the volume individually. today i had to go to a memorial service and i decided to make sure my phone was on silent so i don't have my phone going on in the middle of the service. i set my profile to silent, called myself using my dad's phone and what do i hear, his ringer! i did a battery pull...same thing. i tried to call myself using my dad's phone again, but this time using *67 and no ringtone, just showed that i had a call coming through. with no time on my hands before heading out the door, i just turned off my phone.
Now i found an alternative, but not quite a solution...i can have custom ringtones for people, but not change the volume and whatever profile is set will happen. is there a better way? did i receive a faulty device, although i think it's more a software issue.
I am trying to adapt to my new N78. When a call comes in, I press the green button to answer. Instead of answering, I get a menu asking if I want to answer or ignore the call. The result is two button presses required to answer a call.
When I place a call, I enter the number and press the green button. Instead of the call being placed, I get a menu asking if I want to call, and if the call is audio or video. Three button presses are required to place a call. Is there any way to answer or place a call with one button press? Can I disable video calling so that choice will go away? I do not need any 3G features.
I want to divert all calls and texts from my N95 to my Iphone 3G.I have managed to set up call forwarding with no problem but the text side is puzzling me.The N95 is on Orange contract (boo hiss).Do any of you guru's out there know if; A. I can do this from the handset. B. Is it a network feature. C. Do I need 3rd party software? (if so can you recommend) And finally if I manage to divert Text (SMS) would MMS follow automatically? (or is that another problem to solve?)
I have purchased a 5800 phone. I inserted a globe simcard into it only to find out that the calls are diverted to a number when it is busy, not answered, out of reached. I have cancelled/deactivated all the calls and choose to do so for each category busy, not asnwered etc. But when I clicked on the "Check Status", the divert is still active for the number above.
I just got a Nokia 701 and it works great so far but, for some reason the divert calls indicator won't go away. i opened up the Divert calls and I deactivated them all. (Though I am concerned about deactivating the ones for when I don't answer away from my voice mailbox.)
Does anyone know whether you can alter the amount of rings you can ignore before the N73 diverts to voicemail? So far I've only managed to answer my phone 3 times - the rest have either rung off or diverted to voicemail. People think I'm ignorning them!
I have recently activated a call divert if the phone is not answered. My problem is, when I deactivate this function, the record of the phone number that I have used is still appearing, how do I delete this record?
I have a 6300 ex T-Mobile which has been unlocked and is now on O2. I find that the menu option to "Divert all voice call to voice mailbox" gives an error "Request No Completed".The standard *#.code to divert works fine but I'd like to get the menu option working too. Is this because the phone still has T-Mobile details. is there a way to edit this and get it working on O2?
I have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.
i cant call my phone when my xperia active go to lock screen mode...it looks like i've shut down my phone but i'm not...is any1 here can help me with this matter...i'll already update my phone 2 the latest software update via pc companion....and 1 other Q is y r my xperia active always restart at random period of time
yesterday out of the blue the display on my active stopped working. i connected it to the pc and did a reset/reinstalled the firmware but still no display.i can play music using the original headphones and the headset controls and the home/menu/back buttons light up when i press the unlock key but that's about it.oh yes and i think i managed to unlock the screen even though it was totally back as i could could play/pause music and skip tracks using the screen controls (pressing where i guessed the music controls were).
Don't want to completely disable voicemail divert but the value on my KG225 (according to the menu) is "15 secs" for unanswered calls.Searching HF brings nothing up but can this value be amended to something else, like 30 secs? Nothing obvious I press will let me change this.
My Torch 9800 only rings about three times before diverting to the Orange answer phone - I need longer ( especially when trying to get it out of my jeans pocket ! ). First Orange said there was an option on the answering service - no there isn't. Then they said dial in **61*my mobile number*11*20# then press the call button - no again just an error saying "supplementary service error. Unexpected data value."
