After I updated my Nokia C5 (3.2 mp camera one) with firmware update 071.005 the sound while calling is barely audible , I have turned full call volume but still its barely audible in quiet environment. My cell is out of warranty. I have two Nokia C5, the sound of the other one with firmware version 062.001 is pretty good.
View 6 RepliesWith my new C5-03 I have several times that when calling or being called I can not hear the caller. The connection is there alricht: when switching on the loudspeaker I can hear, but not anymore when switched back to phone. I have reinstalled software with Ovi-suite without solution. And went to the Nokia Care centre: it worked for a week, and again same problem. Does anybody know more about this? Is it a mechanical failure or lose contact? Is this a known failure with C5-03, or other symbian phones, and most important is there a structural solution?

I noticed that when making or receiving a call, even with the volume set to 10 bars, when someone is standing next to me, he cannot hear the voice of the one am talking to. My friend has C3-00 with firmware V8-63, when he receives or makes a call, when you are standing next to him, you can hear the voice of the person he is talking to and you can reduce the volume in order for somone next to you not to ehar what you are discussion. Is it about the firmware or is it just my phone?I want to know so if I have to reverse back to V8.63 by flashing the phone or maintaining V8.71.

When I do on my newly purchased Samsung Galaxy S6, the volume is way too low to be able to understand anything. If I don't have any noise around me, it's fine, otherwise not. I have the volume all up. I tried this Volume+ app here: [URL] .... but it wouldn't change anything in the volume level.

Lately when placing and receiving calls I cannot hear anything put dead air. No ring tone when calling out, or the voice of the caller when accepting a new call. To fix the issue I have pulled the battery. However, a few hours later the issue will start again.
The sound of c6-00 is so worst that i need to check my cell after avery few mins to knw my calls & sms.. Earlier i was using n73 which had no such problems.. Unfortunately i lost it somehow which lead me to buy c6-00 but now i m having a worst time while using the cell... I wish that nokia administration could find a way to fix the biggest problem of the loudness of of sound on c6-00..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI DON'T want anything but NOKIA for my too-many-sim-problem (4 phones carrying at this time!).Bought C2-00 recently hopeing that I will be happyer with my 2 bussines number's (from 2 countries) being able to conect to Parrot CK3100 car-kit. But happines was premature, since C2-00 was unable to deliver decent sound level (I CAN NOT HEAR WHAT PEOPLE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF PHONE CONNECTION R SAYNIG!, changde first C2-00 for another one, also bought sim-free with original Nokia 2-year warranty) thru pre-built-in speakers in my Skoda Octavia. But in exactly same car with exactly same car-kit with exactly same settings and exactly same volume level my Nokia X6 or my Nokia N8 or my Nokia C5-00 deliver flawless volume level coming from people I'm talking to.
Btw same two C2-00 also delivered VERY -VERY poor volume level thru earpiece-speaker, and when I turned d volume up it was like my speaker-phone was ON (which in every situation was not) - everybody around me could clearly hear what was the other person whom I was talking to said.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had to make an emergency call using my N82. I did not know my exact location so I tried to use GPS while calling. The GPS was not working but there was an error messge like "No GPS signal, you should go outside" or something like that.I was already outside and waited about 10 mins for GPS to get a fix (typically the a-GPS find the location in seconds). It did not get a fix at all and I ended the emergency call. Immediately after that the GPS started to work. So I called to the emergency number (112) once again. But he GPS location was lost when I called and worked again when I ended the call. So it seems that the GPS of the phone is not working while doing an emergency call!
I just wanted to inform everybody that in case of emergency, don't waste your time trying to get a GPS fix while making an emergency call.Anyone knows if this is a known limitation or a bug?

Because the colour white makes marks more visible then the colour black. Because after long term usage, marks start to appear. I would prefer the black nokia n79 but the shop might not sell it. ( i.e. someone sent you an SMS with a telephone number, you have to WRITE IT DOWN for you to save it. call it, etc..., you can't just 'use number'...), I am very bothered by this because this feature is so basic that it is included almost on all mobile phones... and SHOULD be included as well. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been happily using N900 for Skype video calling.When I first received my phone I was told by my phone company that N900 supports video calling without using Skype(using mobile numbers to other compatible phones via the 3G network)My partner also has a N900 and is not able to make Video Calling either, where when we both had an E72 we had no problems at all.I called Nokia 2 months ago and they said that in Australia, they will have video calling to mobile numbers very soon for the N900. Can anyone at Nokia tell me when this is happening? This was one of the main reasons I bought the N900 as it is promoted to have video calling on 3G as well as Internet (Skype or other).I am keen to use video calling as I work with clients who don't necessarily have Skype, but use video calling nonetheless.

I checked again a few hours later (and I did not use the phone): credit is decreased !Checked again a few hours later: credit still decreases. this is becoming very expensive (few Euro's a day) so here are my questions:

Does Nokia 5230 have video calling option? Before I bought it, the store told me that it's one pf those phones who doesn't have a secondary camera, but it does have video calling. Is that possible and is that the case with this phone?It's actually one of the reasons that I bought it, so I'm kind of disappointed I can't find a way to use it.
Video Call Time up to 3.0 hours.so I'd expect it does have it.
Is it important that I bought it here in Slovenia?
I wanna know if the video calling is available on both N97 ("normal" and mini). Depending on the website, it's available on both or only on the "normal".
