BB Curve :: Music And Sound Doesn't Work
Feb 3, 2011my sound works perfectly fine, but it is just my music and songs that do not play. everytime i select a song it says 'unable to play content' on a white screen but if i played the same song on Internet it works. i've restarted plenty of times and deleted and added songs again nothing has worked!

Aug 19, 2010I am no longer getting sound from the phone - the ringer does not work and I can't play music.I have tried taking out the battery and it still does not work.The last sound I heard was the alert for a text message and it does not do that anymore. I can hear fine when talking on the phone.I would appreciate help with this as I have not found an solution that works yet.

Apr 11, 2010I have nokia 5800 with latest firm ware v40, when i do call to somebody, i can hear the sound, but on the another side, cant hear me speak, he/she said my voice so slowly. i think in the first time is network problem, but change mobile phone, its okay.... so i think the problem is my nokia 5800, when i test with recorder application, i found that its very slowly, i try with the same voice and same volume with another phone, its good, so i think i have problem with my nokia 5800, especially with microphone. can somebody help me what to do? should replace firmware ? or this is hardware damage?

IPhone :: No Sound Through Right Side Of Apple Earphones With Remote
Apr 8, 2012For some strange reason, when I listened to a podcast using the Music app through the Apple earphones with remote on my iPhone 4, the right side has no sound. However, when I pull the earphone plug out one notch, I get sound from both sides, but the remote controls no longer work. At that point, I was sure I had a hardware problem, but where it lay-- earphones or iPhone 4, I didn't know.
1. For my first step, I tried the earphones with another iPhone 4, and got the exact same results. That convinced me that it was a problem with the earphones, but then I tried them on our iPad and they worked fine!
2. That ruled out the earphones and got me wondering if both iPhone 4's earphone jacks were flakey or misbehaving.I had read about the old fuzz in the jack problem, so I used an air blower to clean it out, but it made no difference. I still figured that maybe both jacks were stressed in some way, although two of them?
3. Then I read that some people found different apps worked--and even specifically that running Skype could solve things. That didn't work. However, it led me to try various streaming apps (e.g., Portal to the Universe, NPR) and everything was fine-- sound from both sides and remote controls fully functional.
At that point, I was convinced there was something odd going on with the Music app.
4. Finally, it occurred to me to try other podcasts-- and even other episodes of the particular podcast. They all worked fine.

Apr 18, 2011When I bought my E63 I noticed that while on my previous phone the sound got all distorted when I tried to record a loud live performance, it sounded pretty good on the E63, even if the concert got loud. Since that discovery I usually record one of two songs of a show I visit as a souvenir. It's become quite a big thing for me.Now the E63 has a pretty mediocre camera, so I'm thinking about upgrading to a model with a better one. Of course it is essential that this new phone can record loud sound (110 dB and over) as good or even better than my current E63. I know that this is not a given from people with iPhones or phones from HTC: all they get is when they try to record loud sound is distortion.are newer Nokia models still as good at recording loud (rock and metal show) sound and is there some technical spec that I can check to make sure this is the case?

May 2, 2010for some new Sony Ericsson phones (I know the W995 has this problem for sure) there is no option to turn off the camera sound or the focus sound, even when silent mode is on. Here I am going to guide you through a solution to overcome this.What we are going to do is replace the sound files for the camera sound and the focus sound with a sound which is silent, using A2uploader.
1. Download this .rar file I have uploaded with 3 sound files, namely camerafocus.3gp, camerashutter2.3gp and camerashutter2_rer.3gp
2. Currently you can choose the following sounds
1. Camera shutter
2. Bear can opening
3.Tennis ball
4. Laser
The files in the .rar have been created to replace the Beer can opening sound, however if you want to keep this one, then change the number on the end e.g to replace the Laser sound the two files would be camerashutter4.3gp and camerashutter4_rer.3gp Although please note to replace the Camera shutter sound the number on the end is not 1, but is no number at all e.g. camerashutter.3gp and camerashutter_rer.3gp3.Now you connect your phone to A2uploader (see Tutorial on main website for how to do this) and go to tpa/presets/system/sound and drop all 3 files into this folder. If you want to keep the sound you're replacing right click on it and click 'read' this will create a folder ph_out with this file in it.4.Shut down A2uploader, switch on phone and bobs your uncle!You can also add other sounds, I created a Gavin and Stacey one here but I will happily accept requests for others.Hope this helps!
