I have nokia 5800, when i plug my headphones in my phone i can only hear in the right ear but the left ear doesn't work. If i plug only the headphones without the remote it works on both ears. I can't figure out how to make the remote work in the left ear, is it a phone setting problem or is the remote broken? Anyone else having this problem? I need the remote because if i only use the headphones without it it would be too short and won't reach my ear ......

View 5 Replies View RelatedFor some strange reason, when I listened to a podcast using the Music app through the Apple earphones with remote on my iPhone 4, the right side has no sound. However, when I pull the earphone plug out one notch, I get sound from both sides, but the remote controls no longer work. At that point, I was sure I had a hardware problem, but where it lay-- earphones or iPhone 4, I didn't know.
1. For my first step, I tried the earphones with another iPhone 4, and got the exact same results. That convinced me that it was a problem with the earphones, but then I tried them on our iPad and they worked fine!
2. That ruled out the earphones and got me wondering if both iPhone 4's earphone jacks were flakey or misbehaving.I had read about the old fuzz in the jack problem, so I used an air blower to clean it out, but it made no difference. I still figured that maybe both jacks were stressed in some way, although two of them?
3. Then I read that some people found different apps worked--and even specifically that running Skype could solve things. That didn't work. However, it led me to try various streaming apps (e.g., Portal to the Universe, NPR) and everything was fine-- sound from both sides and remote controls fully functional.
At that point, I was convinced there was something odd going on with the Music app.
4. Finally, it occurred to me to try other podcasts-- and even other episodes of the particular podcast. They all worked fine.

In recent days I've noticed a rather annoying quirk with the sound from my Photon. If I'm listening to music (Winamp, the stock app, or Pandora) and a notification pops up, I hear the notification sound but afterward the volume of my music drops down a lot. I'll turn the volume up, but as soon as the track changes my ears blow up when the volume level returns to what it was previously
View 2 Replies View RelatedYerterday, I had my HTC One connected to my car charger, and connected the phone to aux in (headphone jack). Suddenly the music stop playing and I saw the screen of my phone flicker twice. After that, I realized that the charger had gone bad (probably burned), and from that moment on, whenever I put on a headphone music doesn't play.
The phone recognizes that the headphone is connected because the headphone icon appear, but no sound comes out!! I tried it with Beats on and off and no sound comes out off it, but they work perfectly normal through speaker.
I have a HTC brand headphone but when I connect it to my Xperia Z3, No sound coming out from the headphone. But the sound coming out through the phone speaker instead. However, My Xperia Z3 headphone that come with the phone when I buy it works well with no problems.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI switch from GS4 to the N6. One thing that I am missing is the ability to have the alarm clock sound go to the speakers, when the headphones are plugged in.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use Spotify as my music app, every time I set a playlist going and skip the track, at the beginning of the next song either the sound volume drops slightly or a different EQ setting kicks in as the sound changes slightly, it happens within a split second of the song starting.
If I let the song play to the end and the next song comes on automatically it doesn't happen.
speakers on both side of the phone. can hear loud only on right side? is it like that ?

I took this shot after updating both my iPhone 4 and iPad with the latest SW releases today... If the signal bar cacluation Apple is recommending is appropriate for the iPhone, why not the iPad 3g as well?...and which is correct?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI got my refurb in the mail today and the left side of the screen sounds like someone spilled soda under the screen and it dried. So when I type, especially with typing in landscape it clicks and makes this weird sound like there is something sticky under the screen. Anyone else had this issue? I called Verizon and they are sending me another phone overnight...but still...
View 12 Replies View RelatedIt is my goal to own two iPhone 4s tomorrow morning at 7am via my local Apple store without a pre-order. However, my girlfriend and I are currently on a Verizon family plan and despite me constantly explaining how the iPhone will be the best investment she will ever make (I even used to have my own iPhone at the same time as the Verizon phone), she still needs more convincing that AT&T is at least pretty similar to Verizon's service and monthly bill.
Shortened story shorter (the point): I'm looking for some type of up-to-date comparison chart/website to compare the two. I tried Google but couldn't find anything worthwhile. I have a feeling if there's anything out there, MR would know.
I just thought of something else. Incase Apple is so busy tonight that they don't want to cancel Verizon and set me up with AT&T until they "officially" open the store (10am), can I still just pay for the two phones and set them up with our old Verizon numbers and new AT&T plan at a later time? Obviously I would do this to insure I have the phones in my possession and won't need to wait until they have new stock.
I have nokia 5800 with latest firm ware v40, when i do call to somebody, i can hear the sound, but on the another side, cant hear me speak, he/she said my voice so slowly. i think in the first time is network problem, but change mobile phone, its okay.... so i think the problem is my nokia 5800, when i test with recorder application, i found that its very slowly, i try with the same voice and same volume with another phone, its good, so i think i have problem with my nokia 5800, especially with microphone. can somebody help me what to do? should replace firmware ? or this is hardware damage?

My iphone 4 plays the same songs over and over in my playlist. there are plenty of songs that it hasn't played and it repeats ones that has already played. i see that there is an app called true shuffle pro for $4.99. but my should i have to pay for this when i have already paid for so much and this seems like an easy fix in the software. seems like once again apple continues. to monopolize its software so you have to purchase higher upgrade phones and apps.

I was never a fan alarm clocks, the awful alarms they sounds are certainly no way to start the day. My CD radio alarm clock is slowly starting to pack in and I figure my iPhone4 can do the same thing. Can anyone recommend an alarm app that randomly picks music from my library and plays it back until I make it stop? There seem to be pretty decent ones like iHome but as I understand it you pick what it plays - I quickly take a disliking to songs that wake me up too often and manually changing the playlist is a bit of a hassle.

I have a new iPhone 5S which plays music at a much quieter volume than the radio in the car with the stereo at the same level. My old iPhone 4S is fine and plays music very loudly, but both my new and previous 5S phones had the same problem. Even if I turn the car's stereo system up to full volume neither 5S phone produce loud music. I have a new Volvo XC60 and all the phones and the car have the all the most recent available software updates. I usually use the phone on Bluetooth but I get the same problem if I switch the input source over to iPod and Aux. The phone settings have Sound Check, EQ and Volume Limit all switched off and the Volume Limit set at maximum.Â

Got a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've been waiting to test this out for months now to see if this upgraded phone could pull the ultimate for my particular home theater setup. I use handbrake to encode my DVD and Blu-ray collection and since I'm not big on watching things on the go and would much rather have a great picture and 5.1 audio, I use the AppleTV preset and not the universal. Before neither the 3G or 3GS would play this format, but to my extreme happiness the iPhone 4 comes through with brilliant playback. This means that I don't have to bother with two different files again! I tested my most recent encodes and they are perfect.
