Jul 14, 2012I recieved a Blackberry message stating I needed to enter my email password on the account which I have been using. I have followed the instruction by entering setup and clicking Email Accounts. On that screen it allows to me two options Internet Mail Account & Enterprise Account. However when I try and click the Internet Mail account nothing happens, it does not let me use this option. I have tried the Enterprise Account and it says "Status: initialzing service" but nothing is happening. (been like this for 30mins)

Sep 30, 2011I have a Bold 9900, and have already setup an account with my carrier in regards to the BIS account/email (stc.blackberry.com) in my case. It was setup through the email client on the bold and not through the website (stc.blackberry.com).verytime i try to login it says username/password is incorrect, though i am sure it is correct. I had previously tried to create the account through the website, but an error of "Your account is not accessible via HTML browser. Please use your device to access BlackBerry Internet Service". That error occurs even if i use the Bold 9900 browser or and other browser for that matter. The email account sends an recieves emails, but i cannot access the settings via the website on the phone or pc.

Aug 3, 2012I have recently changed my email address and need to update this on my Bold 9900. I go in to Setup > Email Accounts and tap/click on Internet Mail Account, however it does nothing. I have previously used this feature to add/amend email details. It allows me to click on Enterprise Account, but when I click on Internet Mail Account nothing happens. Have rebooted device a couple of times and get the same problem.

Apr 18, 2012My BB Bold 9780 recently went under to software wipe outs and then had the software uploaded due to JVM Error issues and a blackberry 102 error. Since then i have not been able to get the email wizard set up to accept my password so that i can activate my personal email account. i have a data plan so that is not an issue, but everytime i try to log on i get this message "Sorry, unable to conigtue your session. Please log in again." i have tried this numerous time, have sent the registration again then rebooted to no avail

Jul 13, 2011I have a new BB Bold 9780 purchased a month back. I have BIS unlimited plan and should be able to setup 10 email accounts I believe.
The problem I have is with the 'Internet Mail Account' option within the Email Accounts in setup. When I click this option, nothing happens. The option doesn't respond to my click.
I know that I have workaround to setup email account through some links in internet and I have already setup my gmail account through the link. However, I would like to have the facility to add a new account through my mobile itself.
I suspect that the problem is due to an incorrect / failed update of 'Email Setup Application'. The version I have is 6.10.0804.1543
Is there any way to get this program updated ? or to get the 'Internet Mail Account' option working in my BB ? I am unable to delete the program through Application Management as the option of Delete is not present.

Please ensure your device has an active wifi connection and try again'. Why is this? Also, when i try to update to 5.0 it says I need a data package but it worked on my old phone. And because of this I can't download the app world. The signal goes to SOS a lot as well but I think my house blocks the signal. Currently it says 'gprs' with 2 bars beside it.

Dec 31, 2011I have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.
