Before someone bashes me for starting a new thread, Ive posted in other threads and searched EVERYWHERE on the net to no avail. Getting really frustrated. My problem is pretty much everytime I try installing a new OS whether its Official or leaked, the DM or apploader refuses to recognize it. I have like 4 different OS downloaded and not one of them is recognized. I am currently stuck on 5.0.0.545 and battery life SUCKS. If it helps, it is a BELL Canada phone but to my understanding any OS from any carrier can be installed onto any berry correct?Someone please help me install a new OS!!!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my Verizon BB Bold 9650 yesterday to OS6. I had it on charge during the upgrade process so it was fully charged around 10:30 pm last night. This morning it had shut itself off due to low battery. So I charged it again and made sure that WIFI and Bluetooth were switched off. I had it charged to ~50% at 9:30 am today and now, at 12:30, it's dead again.
I used to get at least 2.5 days on one charge with OS5. Now I seem to be getting about 6 hours total with OS6.
When I try to go into appsth emessage installing blackberry identity is still showing at 100. Even pressing cancel does not let me out of it.I have been online and created blackberry id but am still having the same problem

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to upgrade my OS through DM. I went to click upgrade after connecting my 9700, and it pops up "application uploader needs to be upgraded." I tried installing it as it advised, 5 times already and it still pops up the same message. I tried uninstalling and installing DM again with the latest version but it is still happening. Any clues on how to fix this?

I can´t write my PIN or something.When I connect BB 9780 to my computer a picture Phone<->computer comes up. But BB desktop can´t connect.How can I repair it? After several minutes of the bar "requesting" the message comes up stating " A communication failure occurred with the selected Mobile Data Service. The server may be busy, please try again later. If the problem persists contact your administrator." I have tried hard resets, taking out battery, and to delete Pandora.

I cannot install them from the desktop manager because the applications section has now been updated to only show the apps i have downloaded! So I did a battery pull and when its on, I wanted to delete and change theme but when I click Options or Setup it freezes and I cant do anything but do another battery pull and no difference. I did it several times already. I tried connecting my phone to my macbook and my desktop manager wont connect to my phone. View 5 Replies View RelatedDespite putting the very latest firmware on my 9700, the email Settings Application ( in Setup Folder - Email settings) still takes me to a browser based setup on the BIS . my old 8900 and my work 9700 has an application type interface.. Why is this a problem ? Because it wont let me setup gmail Contact sync .. Keeps giving me a message "To start xxxxxxxx@gmail.com contacts synchronization with your BlackBerry® device, complete the security activation on your device:
1. In the Setup folder, log in to the Email Settings application.
2. After you log in, the security activation starts. When security activation is complete, wireless synchronization of your contacts with your device automatically begins."
This does not work and I'm guessing because i dont have the latest email settings on the device.. I have tried re-installing firmware , wipes etc..

When I turned it back on there was an update for a new OS so I decided to go ahead and install it. It seemed to crash during installation so I pulled the battery. It went back right to where it was and much later seemed to be finishing up. Went to use it a couple hours later and was completely dead. Charged it when I got home and nothing. After awhile my light would go on red for just a moment upon plugging it in but then turn off, nothing else. Charged it overnight, still nothing.

I`m having this strange problem with my iphone 4 (gsm). When I update to ios 5.1.1 two things different happens.
1 - When I update directly from my iphone it says it can`t install it. that a problem has happend and it can`t be installed.
2 - When I update from itunes, in any computer, i`ve tried on 4 differente machines, two macs and two pcs, my Iphone bricks. The process starts but id sudenly crashes. And when I connect it to my mac, it says that my iphone is in restore mode and i can only restore my iphone to ios 5.1.
