View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I downloaded the official OS 5 and I installed it (using the instructions on this site) and it was running on my phone. I got an official version off of blackberry.com for my Curve 8520. After that I got some notice to update software but I think it went back to OS 4.6 and now when I try to reload OS 5 on it won't let me... it shows and asterick next to it in the Desktop manager and when I select it to update to OS 5. I wont do it.
What does the asterick mean? How do I get the asterick to go away? is the a way to scrub the phone and start from scratch? Can someone PLEASE help me figure out how to undo my mistake. I want to get OS 5 back on my BB Curve 8520.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working on rolling my own MDM service, and I'm trying to combine the SCEP and MDM payloads as the MDM protocol document from Apple suggests. I created my own SCEP web service in C# .Net and I know that the device can get a valid certificate when I just send the SCEP payload. However when I also include an MDM payload that points to the SCEP payload's UUID via the IdentityCertificateUUID key, I get the following error, "The enrollment server did not provision a valid identity certificate." This configuration is the one that is sent after the user chooses to install the initial enrollment configuration (step 1 of phase 2 in this diagram).The device doesn't appear to even make an attempt at connecting to my server, and thanks to server side logging I know that it never reaches my SCEP web service page. This seems to indicate that there's something wrong with the certificate I use to sign the payload. I've separately tried signing it with my SSL certificate (from a pre trusted root authority), my customer MDM push certificate (chained from our vendor cert), and my self-signed root certificate authority certificate (created via makecert.exe) that the SCEP service uses to issue new certificates (i.e. device identity certificates).I've looked at the output from the iPCU (iPhone Configuration Utility) when I create a profile with both the MDM and SCEP payloads, and it isn't a valid profile (I've even tried copying it nearly wholesale). However when I install the profile via the iPCU the error doesn't come up and it begins the SCEP enrollment process without issue.A side note - using a preexisting MDM vendor is not an option here.Below is the profile I'm using:

My problem is pretty much everytime I try installing a new OS whether its Official or leaked, the DM or apploader refuses to recognize it. I have like 4 different OS downloaded and not one of them is recognized. I am currently stuck on 5.0.0.545 and battery life SUCKS. View 3 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my Verizon BB Bold 9650 yesterday to OS6. I had it on charge during the upgrade process so it was fully charged around 10:30 pm last night. This morning it had shut itself off due to low battery. So I charged it again and made sure that WIFI and Bluetooth were switched off. I had it charged to ~50% at 9:30 am today and now, at 12:30, it's dead again.
I used to get at least 2.5 days on one charge with OS5. Now I seem to be getting about 6 hours total with OS6.
I have a Bold 9900 with OS 7.1, the desktop manager does not seem an option to install new languages​​?

I tried installing it as it advised, 5 times already and it still pops up the same message. I tried uninstalling and installing DM again with the latest version but it is still happening. I can´t write my PIN or something.When I connect BB 9780 to my computer a picture Phone<->computer comes up. But BB desktop can´t connect.How can I repair it? Or simply reset EVERYTHING to factory (out of the box)-settings?
