I recently got a BB Bold 9900. Everything works fine except for today when the bbm chat started showing "search results" and a blank page. I try to exit by pressing the return key but it exits me from the bbm chat and takes me to the home screen.
View 1 RepliesWhen I try to search in any of my personal email accounts, it lists the number of results, and the most recent date, but none of the actual emails display in the search window.This only happens with personal email, my enterprise email search functions normally.Also, I have a Facebook icon in the notification/quick access area that won't go away.I think I clicked in and out of the Facebook app too quickly and it didn't clear. Can these notifications be removed?

this may have been covered already but I'm new here (is that an excuse?).I can't get any search results with ovi maps on or offline, constantly say `No Results Found'. By manually searching the map I can then start navigation that but not by searching. At the moment I am reinstalling he maps via the map loader to see if that works.

speaking ... "Call Mom mobile" - This comes up w/ the display that's about to call a number, but it has the wrong number. The screenshot has the number blocked out and I aded "Wrong Number" on top of it, but so people could see what stage I'm at.This also occurs using the autocomplete when sending a text message. I type in "mom" and the WRONG contact shows up in the drop down below (wrong name, wrong number). *** It is important to note here that the WRONG contact that shows up in this case MATCHES the wrong contact that shows up w/ Voice Search.This used to work just fine, I've used it for months. But it's recently stopped working.
So, using "People" (which is listed as "Contacts" in manage apps?! - so, under Apps, only "People" is listed, no "Contacts" ... under manage apps, no "People" entry is listed, only "Contacts") on my phone - entry for "Mom" is NOT present. But, an entry using her first / last is there. The number is present, the wrong number is not.Getting online to check my contacts directly with google - there IS an entry for "Mom", with the correct number, the wrong number is not there. If I do a search for the wrong number, it takes me to the correct contact (not Mom), if I search for Mom's number, it pulls up the correct contact (Mom).
From the home screen if you go to "All apps" (btw.... I have 6 and a half pages of apps) and go to the second page of apps and hit the "Search" button at the bottom right hand side of your Atrix 2, it will result in a Force Close of the (process com.motorola.home). I have restarted my phone multiple time and have also taken out the battery. I have 3.7GB of free space on my Internal storage.

The phone works fine, but I'm having some problems with the maps.
Whenever I try to search for an address I get a (very) brief "searching online" progress bar, but every time I get "no results found", regardless if I'm searching for a full address or just a city.
I'm a little concerned about the calorie counts it's been giving me; they seem too high. Has anyone else had this issue? Could it be my unit, or was I just underestimating my calorie burn before?

(However doing a normal search will return a result.) I've tested the same search function on a separate 9930 attached to a different account, and had no issues there. I was wondering if there were any common fixes I could look into for this device. I've already done the reboot/pull battery, and bring the device backup.

However, when I search for the same app on iTunes on my mac, I can find that app. I don't want to synch my phone to my computer just to install this app.

I recently got a 9900 and have an issue every week to two weeks when I miss a call. The missed call for some reason deletes all of my email from my 3 email accounts. All that is viewable in my email is the missed call list. I remove the battery from my device and this resets the email.

Feels like Blackberry is turning more into Microsoft than apple. Instead of quality improvements, we get more powerful hardware that runs slower with unpredictable feature availability and an eye for $ for sake of purely $. FWIW, I upgraded to 9650 from the original Bold with AT&T in late 2008. I am nervous about how slow the 9650 will be in 2 years if its this slow out of the gate.
I'm trying to update the IMAP password on a 9700 Bold, a process I've done numerous times in the recent past. However, on this particular device, I cannot even get to the menu for email accounts. Every attempt results in the following ianane OS message; "Your device had a problem connecting to the server." I'm then required to either try again (a never ending loop) or cancel.
I suspect this has something to do with my provider (AT&T) because I had similar symptoms on another device (same model, w/o enterprise security policies). I was able to fix it on the other device by deleting the IMAP Service Books and then doing a hard reset. It doesn't work for the problem BB.
I got this blue chat sign, although I don't have any unread conversations I even deleted all the stuff in the "message" folder.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded to the Bold 9700 with 5.0 software. My issue (albeit rather small) is that my SMSs appear in my BBM chat screen. I followed advice posted previously and removed the contacts link and yes, the SMSs popped back into my SMS inbox. So you would think problem sorted. But here comes the interesting part : my husband has exactly the same bb, exactly the same software, his BBM contacts are linked to contacts, and his SMSs does not go to his BBM but only his SMS inbox. Confusing or what? Has anyone found a way of solving the issue without removing the contacts link in BBM? Alternatively, if this is the only way, how can I put a display picture in for a BBM contact after I removed the link?
Since yesterday my Blackberry service has not worked and have not received any information about the reason, cause or manner of failure resolve it, so I formally ask me what is the detail problem that occurs with this vital service for me.

I used Samsung galaxy, after I backup whatsapp, I copy the whole whatsapp file to my media card. When I re-installed whatsapp in my blackberry, it did not show any message to ask me if I want to restore chat history. I cannot find any button about backup and restore in the whatsapp of 9900.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I click on the folder on my home screen labeled "SMS And MMS", usually I see a listing, by date, of the text-message chat threads I maintain with various individuals (each chat thread shows up under the date on which the last sent or received text message occurred).This morning one entire chat thread listing disappeared from this main listing screen, despite the fact that all of the messages are still on the device (as demonstrated by selecting "Search" from the Blackberry menu while on the SMS/MMS main screen and then typing in the name of this particular correspondent). It was then after asking some members about this matter I've just known that any comment I wrote never appeared on their BBs, so nobody ever read any message from me. It happened within Group Chat only. It is completely okay with inter personal chat.
In trying to overcome this problem I have upgraded the OS from the original 330 to 442 and then to 536 without result. Perhaps to change any setting related to this matter?
