BB Bold 9650 :: Chat Thread Disappeared From SMS And MMS Folder

When I click on the folder on my home screen labeled "SMS And MMS", usually I see a listing, by date, of the text-message chat threads I maintain with various individuals (each chat thread shows up under the date on which the last sent or received text message occurred).This morning one entire chat thread listing disappeared from this main listing screen, despite the fact that all of the messages are still on the device (as demonstrated by selecting "Search" from the Blackberry menu while on the SMS/MMS main screen and then typing in the name of this particular correspondent). The tech people at Verizon couldn't figure out how to restore this particular thread to the main listing screen, so that I can use it as usual as a quick way to text with this person.

At random times when im texting someone, the sms thread will freeze and then i would have to press the end key to exit. after i press the end key if i try to reread the conversation the previous sms i receive doesnt show up....

I just set up my new BB bold with both my work email (BES) and my personal hotmail email (BIS). For some reason, when I send emails through hotmail on my phone, they do not show up in the sent folder on my hotmail account, when I access it on my PC. This issue does not occur with the work email. I did not have this problem with my previous BB curve, and all the settings appear to be the same.

My email folder/link to my business account just disappeared from my phone. 2 others email folders are still there.Is it just hidden because I hit a wrong key or do I have to redo the entire process?

How can I get a folder that puts all my calls in one place other then in the messages area? I upgraded from the 8330 and on there it had it's own special folder for call logging. Now on the bold it's combined in the msgs folder along with my emails.

Wondering if any of u have gotten ur verizon 9650? If so have u noticed ur trackpad left side being higher than right? I ask becuz as we all may know the sprint 9650 has that. Doesn't bother me...nor do I think its defect.

Since the latest lolly update, the "chat service" has disappeared as an option from the stock messaging app. The one where your texts were coloured yellow if they were being sent over the internet rather than an SMS. This is very frustrating, as I was just extolling the virtues of this feature to my wife who has the Z3C, I have the Z3. She raves about What'sApp you see. Now "Chat" is gone! It's not even in the settings menu as "enable chat service" anymore... Have deleted data from app etc to no avail. It has gone from both our 'phones BTW.

Im super siked the the 9650 has arrived and im ready to get rid of the 8330, but with every smartphone of mine i've always had a black silicone smooth skin and a screen protector so if i buy a tour 9630 skin and screen protector will they fit on the bold 9650 right?

When setting ring tone adjustments through the ring icon or when editing the contacts folder too quickly, the folder disappears from the main screen and is always replaced by the yellow pages app. I have searched all folders and it cannot be located. However, the info can be accessed by telephone or e-mail settings. If I pull the battery and reboot it is restored. Bell told me that it was a hardware issue, but replacing the phone still has the same issue. I have finger mobility issues, so I tried assorted battery pull and restart apps, but either they just don't work on the 9550 or they only work once. Hopefully when OS6 is released this will be remedies, unless any one can suggest one.

recently went into the properties on a picture folder and clicked hidden so the pictures were not displayed in the main folder as they were sensitive work pictures.The folder has now disappeared. When I try to create a new folder under the same name it says folder already exists. Where does it exist as I cant find it nor the pictures that are in the file. I dont have a memory card in the phone so I know it must be on the handset but when I search it cannot find

My phone is 3 days old and did not have issues until last night. The browser allows me to initally connect ot a webpage, but will not allow me to click on any links. The cursor switches appropriately when just navigating vs. hovering over a link, but the track pad will not regist any "clicks".Has anyone encountered this or know of the fix?

no matter what settings I use on the 9650 "Memory" settings. I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

Weird thing happened to my wife's Torch. Her emails stopped pushing so I re-sent the service books and now they work again.But now one of her email folders has completely disappeared but she still gets messages from that account seen in the combined Messages folder.I've tried battery pulls and deleting and re-adding the account but still no folder shows up for it, I can only see those messages through the "Messages" folder which is annoying.

All of a sudden one of my email IN box folders has dissapeared. All the email accounts are OK but one of them just says No Messages and the In Box folder has vanished. I can recieve messages and read them off the Messages icon but they wont appear in the In Box for the account.

today my e52 froze, was up to date (051.018) so i reinstalled the software using the nokia ovi suite. my phone turned on a again, no problem everything seemed oke until i noticed the folder 'internet' was now called 'web' and i can't put the shortcuts to facebook and Internet there anymore. a second thing that had changed is the folder gps disappeared. and now the 3 apps who were in there are just in the app's folder

I purchased the 9650 bold a few weeks ago. I do not do a lot of texting, but when I do, the texts are pretty long. On my old BB I hit the back arrow key and it saved to draft, (i would often have 4-5 texts in draft before I sent all out) If im not mistaken you cant do this on the new 9650?? Do I need to get an application to assist with this? ANy suggestions? Sorry if this is a rookie question but...Im a rookie when it comes to these phones.

When I upgraded my 9630 to my new bold 9650 I had a 16gb micro sd card in the 9630. I copied all of the files from my card to my computer, put the 16gb card in my 9650 and formatted the card. I then copied all of the files from my computer back to the sd card and put the card back in the 9650. All seems to be ok, I have my pictures etc. When I go to connect my BB 9650 to my computer I get a message on the BB that says: "Content rights do not match this device. Please insert the media card back to the right device." this only happens if I have the memory option set to "Auto enable mass storage mode storage set to NO" Any ideas?

Is anyone else having trouble using the "Vibrate in Holster" setting? My 8330 would automatically switch to vibrate when I put it in my holster that has the magnetic closure. My 9650 fits in the same holster but doesn't seem to switch to vibrate even though I have that setting chosen under my sounds profiles.

Just wondering if I get a Bold 9650 next week and I back it up with all my apps and settings from my backed up Storm2 9550 file will that happen successfully or should I just reload all apps from scratch?
BTW: I have SocialScope on my Storm2 will it be an easy transfer to my Bold 9650?

I have a new Torch. The other day my phone ran out of battery and when I rebooted, my "desktop" folder with my work email was no longer on the phone. I am still recieving work emails in my "messages" folder, but the email folder is nowhere to be found. My company has reactivated my account about 5 times and I have taken out my battery at least 10 and it still does not show up.

In Settings>Sound: the possibility to view the ringtones and notifications options has disappeared. Vibrations sounds can be viewed correctly with the button selection and preview option, however, in Ringtones and Notifications a file list is viewed which is /storage/emulated/0/ . The only other file list possible to view is /storage/extSdCard. No button/preview sound view available. Not possible to navigate from Ringtones and Notifications to the root system files where the default audio files are located: device/system/media/audio
The selected sounds for Ringtones and Notifications are correct and located in the default audio folders but can not be viewed. ¿?
