Tried deleting the app,removing battery while the phone was still on and even tried upgrading the OS to 6. But of no avail. Teribbly disappointed that BB has such issues with the most basic requirement of adding and editing contacts.

Uncaught exception: application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (4609) is not responding; process terminated.NOTE the bracketed numbers in this string changes based on the contact I try to access i.e it could be (4612)The phone freezes and I have to turn it on and off again! , before I can move off address page. Upon turning the phone on I get the above error.I have looked through the support forums and searched using the error, I have found similar relating to a traffic app but nothing relating to the address book.

I did a battery pull and my phone came back on, only to see an error message saying "error application uncaught exception" or something along those lines, and my SMS app had been deleted from my phone. i clicked "show all" and nothing came up. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop manager twice to update the software to see if that had any effect but it kept getting stuck on the back up on my computer, so I disconnected it both times. I tried to install the software update on my phone itself, and now its stuck on the back up data page (again) but this time on my phone. It says "social feeds 0%" and "overall back up progress 5%". I did another battery pull but its brought me back to the same screen and I cannot use my phone at all.

i'm having issues with the above error when trying to stream audio (*.m3u) over the cellular network. everything works just fine when connceted to a wifi network.i have full 3g reception and even Internet works fine without wifi. problem occurs on a bold 9780 with os 6.0.0.359 on a german cellular network. i didn't use to run into this issue with my old bold 9000.
