Jun 24, 2014I have noticed an issue with the Galaxy S5 that apparently only occurs with the Verizon variant. I work for a place called Wireless Advocates, we are the cell phone kiosk inside of Costco. I'm asking about this because I've had three customers come in to ask about this background data issue.
I'm not sure what triggers this issue but when I try opening up google play I get the "Background Data Disabled : Google Play Store Needs background data to be Enabled" error. It then gives you the ability to either quit or enable the data. If you press enable it takes you to the account screen in settings.
When I go to Data usage the option to "restrict background data" is greyed out. You can't even select it and it isn't checkmarked either. Just to clarify, accessing the internet and other things on the phone work perfectly fine. It's just the use of Google Play that is having issues. I called Samsung customer care and they aren't aware of this issue at all. Also note that force stopping google play, play services, removing the google accounts and adding them back and rebooting the phone haven't solved it. After the reboot the phone will appear fine and then a box that says "Restricting background data".

May 17, 2010About 1 year ago I bought a blackberry curve 8320 on ebay in germany. I now wanted to register at the BIS (at Vodafone in Germany). It tells me that the phone (PIN) is already registered at the BIS. I tried to use the "send Password" Link with my PIN Number but it didnt work out. (The website says the password is sent successfully but it does not reach my cell phone). Aftre that I asked at VOdafone Customer support and they said the phone isnt registered with Vodafone. Is there a chance to delete or edit the old account registered to my PIN Number? So that I can register and get my own BIS!

May 27, 2010One of the reasons I bought a Blackberry is because you can send and receive emails on it. I bought a new 8520 blackberry and I cant set up an email address! Ok, I went through the set-up wizard, and when it got to the email part, there is supposed to be 2 options:
I want to create or add an email address
and
I want to use the blackberry enterprise server
My blackberry only has one option..the enterprise server one. Now I don't work in any office environment, so this is of no use to me. I want to use the first option, that my phone doesn't have.

When I switch to the video camera everything is fine, but as soon as I hit the start recording button it immediately freezes up.
