Nov 23, 2012is there any way .....we can play music in background while on call..so that we can listen to it and the other person on the call can listn to that?

Galaxy S6 Edge :: Beeping In Background While Using Google Play Music
Sep 30, 2015I seem to have developed a strange problem since the update to 5.1.1 a couple of days ago. When I connect to my Edge via bluetooth, and use Google Play Music, there is a beep in the background and the music stutters and then continue playing, then about 30 seconds later it happens again...it coninues for about 10 to 15 minutes then the problem disappeared entirely. I don't believe it is entirely Google Play Music because I paused Google Play Music and the beeping continued in the background. ......perhaps the bluetooth connection? I haven't been able to reproduce the error but it has happened twice.

May 25, 2012I have a problem with the "My Music" app and music homescreen widget.
I can find and play music tracks but as soon as I hit the "home" key the music pauses. Basically, any time I exit the player, the music stops.. So I can listen to music OR do anything else.. annoying? yes!
If I press the "home" key or exit any other way - The widget on the home screen reverts to "Go to music dashboard" and if I press to un-pause the music, I am taken back to the "My Music" homescreen and have to re-select a song.
fix / workaround / another music player (one with Motocast capability?). Can i re-install "my music" or reset something?
- I am running motocast, but this problem occurs on Motocast and downloaded music. - i have tried turnignoff motocast computers. - This does not happen with podcasts or any other media - just music in my library.

Jun 24, 2014I have noticed an issue with the Galaxy S5 that apparently only occurs with the Verizon variant. I work for a place called Wireless Advocates, we are the cell phone kiosk inside of Costco. I'm asking about this because I've had three customers come in to ask about this background data issue.
I'm not sure what triggers this issue but when I try opening up google play I get the "Background Data Disabled : Google Play Store Needs background data to be Enabled" error. It then gives you the ability to either quit or enable the data. If you press enable it takes you to the account screen in settings.
When I go to Data usage the option to "restrict background data" is greyed out. You can't even select it and it isn't checkmarked either. Just to clarify, accessing the internet and other things on the phone work perfectly fine. It's just the use of Google Play that is having issues. I called Samsung customer care and they aren't aware of this issue at all. Also note that force stopping google play, play services, removing the google accounts and adding them back and rebooting the phone haven't solved it. After the reboot the phone will appear fine and then a box that says "Restricting background data".

Mar 19, 2012I started facing something weird today with the Music.app on my iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1. The music from the Music.app stops playing as soon as I leave the app. This happens if I try to switch to another app, or press the home button or even lock the screen with the app in the foreground. It automatically starts playing as soon as I reopen the app. When the screen is locked, double tapping the home button brings up the iPod controls. But the play button there doesnt respond and the same thing happens with the play button from the multitasking tray too. It's as though the Music App can no longer play in the background.

Dec 1, 2011Whenever I take a look at my battery usage on my Photon, I always see Music and Media rather high in the list. In fact when I checked just now Media was at 12% and Music was at 11%, 3rd and 4th in the list. (The phone's only been on for about 90 minutes.) Since both of these apps suck, I have other apps that I use for photos (QuickPic) and music (MixZing) and don't bother using the built in apps. It's bad enough that I can't remove these apps, but the fact that they're adding extra drain on the battery adds injury to insult. When I inspect the running apps, for Music I found AmgSyncService running which appears to be part of MotoBlur. Searching the web the only thing I was able to find was a similar question posted on the xdaDevelopers forum. I suspect there is a similar process running for photos as well, but it hasn't shown up in my list of running processes.
Other than manually killing the AmgSyncService process everytime I start the phone, is there any way to disable this process to prevent it from starting up?

I use Advanced Task Kill to stop it, a minute later or so and its back. I used Optimize Tool Box to view the startup apps and Music is not one of them.
